I'm sorry.. (Oneshot)
Yeah, popped into my head and I thought, "Wynaut." Also, this takes place back when Latvia was a part of the Soviet Union, and in it, Alola is also part of it, (even though it's actually the new Pokemon region, just go with it.) yeah, so my OC Liana is described for the first time!
~~~~~~~
Liana was sitting in a closet, crying, at least, until Ivan found her. "What's wrong sunflower?" He asked her, bending down to her level, patting the girl on the head. "I accidentally ruined Latvia's violin, I t-tried to fix it, but I couldn't. He got mad at me, and now I feel really really guilty about it....." The white-haired girl looked up at Ivan with her pink eyes filled with tears. "There there sunflower, I know what to do." He said, giving her his childish smile. "W-what w-would th-that b-be?" The girl asked, she normally spoke with a stutter. "Here's what you do..."
-timeskip-
Liana peeked inside the room where Latvia was, trembling the way she always was. "L-L-Latvia?" She asked stepping into the room she shared with the three baltics. "Yeah?" Raivis asked, curiously. "E-Es Esmu ļ-ļoti ļoti žēl , tu p-pied-dod m-man ? E-Es n-nebiju d-domājis . E-Es t-tev j-j-jaunu v-vijoli . " The Alolan said, looking down at the ground. [I'm very very sorry, can you forgive me? I didn't mean to. I'll get you a new violin] Raivis looked at her shocked, before seeing the other baltics at the door. One of the was giving him a nod, while the other was winking. He felt himself blush but pulled the girl into a hug, causing her pink eyes to widen. "Of course I forgive you, we're friends, besides, it was an accident. Accidents happen Liana. I'm sorry I yelled at you." He said hugging her to him. She hugged back, they pulled away from the hug at the same time. Alola smiled at the Latvian, her pink eyes shimmering with joy. "Thank you for forgiving me Raivis." She said hugging him.
-timeskip of a few months-
Liana was happened to open the door to see a certain Latvian. "Hey Raivis!" She said cheerfully tilting her head. "Hey Liana. Where are you off to?" He asked, yes, they normally both stuttered, but when it was just the two of them together, they were able to forget their fears. In truth, they brought out the best of each other. And they both had a bad habit of doing or saying something wrong infront of Russia. "Oh, I just thought I'd go take a walk to town, maybe get Mr. Ivan some vodka if I have time." She said, smiling at her long-time crush. Normally, Ivan would have them do their jobs in the same room, they were less likely to say or do something wrong that way. "Why don't I go with you, you never know what weird people will be out there." He said. "Alright. Let's get going shall we?" She asked already heading outside. "Yeah." As they were walking Raivis noticed Liana shivering. "I wish I'd brought my coat. Even if it did have holes in it it would still be better." She muttered. Raivis looked down at his own coat before taking it off and handing it to her. "Here, take mine." He said. "Won't you get cold though?" "I'm used to it. Besides, I've been sent to Siberia a few times. Both with and without it, depending on what I'd done to get sent there. I wouldn't want you to get sick." He said. A few minutes later he shivered. Liana frowned, handing him back his coat. Raivis thought for a minute before wrapping half the coat around him, and the other half around her, pulling her closer by the waist. "So we can share it then?" Liana asked smiling at the Baltic. Latvia just nodded in response, blushing slightly. Liana put her left arm around him, a pale blush visible on her cheeks and nose, although that may have just been from the cold. Liana just gave him one of those cheerful smiles of hers when he turned his head to her questioningly. Once in town, Liana cheerfully greeted everyone she knew, and even some of those she didn't. The townspeople were always happy to see the albino, she was always helpful if they needed it, and she was generous with complements. She had also recently turned 14. "Ello Liana! Ello Raivis! Do you need anything?" A friendly man said, he happened to own an alcohol store. "Well, I was wondering if you had any new kinds of vodka Mr. Ivan would like." She said, she was completely at ease with him, all the Baltics were. "As a matter a fact I do! Here, I'll give it to ya for free, seein as how I completely missed your birthday. Sorry 'bout that." He said, handing her a large bottle of vodka. "Oh it's fine Mr. Ned." She said giving him another of her brilliant smiles. "I'd be careful if I were you, just so you know. Heard the other day that that awful Damian had 'is eye on you. Wouldn't want you getting hurt now eh?" Mr. Ned said, sounding concerned. "Well, we'll be careful sir. Thanks for letting us know." Raivis said, nodding politely as Liana put the bottle of vodka in one of the pockets of the coat. "Hey R-Raivis, maybe we should get g-going." She said, her stuttering words a sign of her fear. Raivis nodded, as he started to guide her towards a more crowded part of town. "R-Raivis?" The albino asked, looking at said person. "Y-yes?" "Where a-are w-we g-going?" She said. "A shortcut. I don't normally use it, but I know it, it doesn't take as long as the normal way." He replied, one hand guiding her by the small of her back. She just nodded. He cut across a street and led her to a dark alley, guiding her through. Right as the reached the crowded street that lead towards the mansion where Ivan lived, they heard a wolf whistle. Raivis pulled her against the wall, hiding in a shadow. He held her as she was trembling against him. He place a finger to his lips signaling to be quiet as he held her between him and the wall, using the coat to help hide her white hair. It was a good thing Damian only had two other people. Raivis held her close to him as he moved to leave the alley. But alas, luck was not on their side as one of Damian's cronies blocked the exit. Damian and his cronies were know to get in a girl's pants any way they could. All of them. Liana whimpered as she clung onto Latvia, trembling more than she ever had. The Latvian glared at the three, gritting his teeth. There was just no way they were getting into his best friend's pants, not if she didn't want them there, and judging by her trembling, she didn't. He backed up against a wall, pushing the girl behind him. She whimpered again in fear. He was trembling a little as he glared at the others, but for once, he was trembling in anger, not fear. "Leave her alone." He forced out from his gritted teeth. Damian chuckled as one of his men took a step closer, "oh really, you expect us to leave a girl like her alone? She's the right age. Besides, I've heard that albinos are rewarding, and that's a theory I'd like to test out on her." Claud, the closest of the three said. The Baltic state said nothing only glared at him, take one step closer, I dare you. Because then you won't know what hit you, and it'll be my fist. He thought, filled with rage towards the three. Claud took a step closer, causing the Latvian to let loose a growl from deep in his throat, preparing to punch the disgusting man if he got any closer. Latvia, what's gotten into you? You've never acted this way before. Not towards anyone. Is it because, he likes me? She thought. Not that I don't like it. It's just, comforting to know he has that in him. She whimpered again, hiding behind him, looking over his shoulder at the three. Claud took one step closer, Latvia snarled at the three, taking the coat of his shoulder and placing it entirely on Liana. There was a certain glint in his eye, a glint that Alola couldn't quite comprehend, but to other guys, the message was clear. She's mine. He sized the three up, he didn't like the odds of him being able to beat them, but he liked them more than he did the odds of the Alolan being able to get away. Claud took one more step, and before he knew what was going on, he felt pain at his nose. Crunch. He screamed in pain holding it. He took one look at the Latvian, who clearly looked like he would do it again in a heartbeat, and ran away crying for his mom. Liana gaped. Raivis, who normally wouldn't hurt a fly, unless Ivan told him to, had just punched someone. And most likely broken their nose. The other guy quickly made up an excuse about having forgotten to do something and how if he didn't leave to do it now his parents would kill him before running away. Damian just glared as he moved to punch Raivis, only to have his hand stopped by another lightning-quick motion. The blond Latvian narrowed his blue eyes at him as a warning. "Back. Off." He said, his gaze sharpened into the hardest glare Alola had ever seen anyone give. "I get what I want, and your in the way of that. Guess I'll just have to fix that then." He snarled. Latvia only narrowed his eyes in response. He wouldn't fight unless he tried doing anything. Damian went to punch him in the eye, only to have his attack dodged and to receive an uppercut to the jaw. Crack! He screamed in pain. "Come on, Alola." Raivis said pulling her by the wrist as they started walking back. He knew she hardly knew any Latvian. "Thanks for protecting me back there Raivis." Liana said, looking up at him gratefully. He just muttered something in his native language.
"And then he said something along the lines of, 'Kaut par vienu es mīlu.' It was really amazing. I never knew he had that side to him." She said, finishing up her story. "I still can't believe Latvia did that! I never expected that out of him! Although, I kinda have to admit, he looked pretty hot right then." The other two Baltic states gaped at her. "He punched them!?" Toris said, bewildered. "Yup." "And you said you heard what sounded like bones breaking!?" Estonia added shocked. "Yup." "And he snarled at them!?" Ukraine added onto the bewilderment. "Yup." "More importantly, you thought he was like, hot! I like, totes ship it!" That would be Poland. "Feliks!" "I wish big brother would do something like that for me." Belarus added. Ivan just smiled his innocent smile as he headed to the kitchen where Latvia was washing the dishes. "I heard you took good care of Alola earlier today." He said, patting the Baltic on the head. "W-where d-did you hear th-that?" Raivis asked. "Oh, a little birdie told me. I suggest you get while the getting's good as the Americans say da?" "Y-yes s-sir." He said, blushing.
-timeskip to later-
Latvia woke up, looking at the bed to see only two other people. Shouldn't Alola be here too? After all this bed belongs to her just as much as it does the rest of us. He thought rubbing his eyes. He got up and saw that Liana was standing at the open window, staring at the stars. "Liana? What are you doing up." Raivis said, yawning. "I couldn't sleep." "Oh." The Baltic walked over to stand beside her. "Hey Raivis?" "Hmm?" "Can I ask you something?" "Sure." "What did you say earlier? I couldn't understand the words." Oh, when I said, 'Kaut par vienu es mīlu'?" "Yeah, what does that mean?" She asked looking up at him, her eyes looked purple in the gentle moonlight, a lock of her long snowy white hair hanging in her face. Raivis used his hand to push the stray lock, tucking it behind her ear. "It means, 'anything for the one I love,'" he translated, looking her in the eyes and placing a gentle have on her cheek. She leaned into his touch, closing her eyes. "Y-you love me?" She asked, opening her eyes a bit. "Yes, more than anything in the world." He said gently bringing her face forward and leaning in at the same time to give her a soft gentle kiss, his eyes closed. She looped her arms around his neck as he moved his hands to her waist, hesitantly setting them there to bring her closer. When they broke away for the asshole romance ruiner known as air, he closed the window and tugged her towards the bed, giving her aqua blue puppy eyes. She just giggled quietly and followed him to the bed, falling asleep in his arms.
-timeskip to morning-
Lithuania and Estonia were staring at the two, sleeping peacefully in each other's arms. "I'm debating wether or not I should wake them up, what do you think Toris?" The Estonian asked his Lituanian friend. "I vote we just leave them, Mr. Ivan will understand." Eduard nodded and quietly closed the door as he and Toris left the two.
