Random thought - Why is fashion so random?

My dad thinks ripped jeans are stupid.  I think that as well. Were they created by accident? Did the designer accidentally rip the jeans, then decided that they'd sell them any way to see what happened? Why even wear ripped jeans? What's the point?

Everyone should have their own style, no matter what anyone else says. Why spend hundreds on designer clothes to fit in when you're comfortable in your baggy hoody and scuffed trainers?

I don't understand fashion shows. People pay loads of money to watch people walking up and down a raised platform wearing extravagant clothes. They then buy those extravagant clothes for thousands that no one else will buy.

Anything can become fashion these days. A dress that's just ripped material sewed together? Huge rings? Ugly sweaters? Anything can become a trend these days.
