Ladybug x Chat Noir

"Give me your miraculous now or I will drop your little friend here!" Volpina smirks evilly as she swings Adrien around, who's dangling in midair.

Ladybug gasped, "I thought you loved him!"

She cackled loudly and glared at the heroine, who looked up at her helplessly, "Not as much as seeing you two defeated!" She turned to the Adrien illusion holding her hand, "No hard feelings, right?"

Chat growled, "You're bluffing. It's another illusion."

"You wanna bet on that!" She releases on finger at a time on her grip on Adrien.

"No!" Ladybug cried, reaching for her earrings. She was ready to give them up. No. She was willing to give them up for him.

"Don't do it Ladybug!" He stared shock at what she was about to do and quickly threw his baton at Volpina and the illusion.

She yelled out, "NO!" But they suddenly vanished once Chat's baton hit them both.

Then, the memory disappeared into a whirlpool of darkness.

Ladybug sighed and rubbed her eyes, trying to erase that bad memory. The memory of seeing Adrien, dangling infront of her, helpless. It was an illusion, she knew it. Even if it wasn't, was she really going to give up her earring so easily?

That fake heroine had tricked her. She was just another akuma created by Hawkmoth in order to steal their miraculous.

Ladybug couldn't concentrate as she gazed over the tall towering city of Paris. It was patrol time and she had a hard time focusing.

"Beautiful night, isnt M'Lady?"

Her partner, Chat Noir, purred next to her. He always seemed so happy when they were together. It was like nothing can bring his flirtatious personality down.

Ladybug smiled, "Yes, Paris is always beautiful at night."

Chat sat down next to her, dangling his feet off the side of the building, "Everything alright, Bugaboo?"

Ladybug flashed him a tight smile, "Yes. Everything's alright." She turned away, not wanting the Cat Miraculous to worry about her so much.

He didn't seemed convinced and he turned her head towards him until her blue, crystal eyes were staring into his emerald green ones, "Somethings on your mind, I can see it." Chat whispered.

Ladybug's face flushed and she abruptly got up from sitting down, "Nothing's on my mind, but keeping an eye on the city." She walked away and pretended to scout over the tall buildings of Paris. Her heart aches to pour out all her feelings and problems she was experiencing to Chat, but now wasn't the time to get all sentimental.

"M'Lady look out!"

Ladybug gasped as she saw decks of cards flying towards her with glowing orbs trailing behind them. She quickly somersaults away and lands beside her partner. Chat pulled out his staff and stood infront of her prospectively. The cards circled around the two heroes creating a barrier.

Ladybug shot her yoyo out, trying to break the wall of cards, but whenever she got through, more decks came back and replaced the destroyed ones.

"Was this really supposed to be easy?" A woman's voice cakled from behind. Ladybug saw her at the side of her peripheral vision. It was the akuma.

She wore a dark laced dress with red silk lining. Her head was decorated with bands of different colors and she wore earings which look so fake it was real. In her hand she held a clear crystal ball and her pockets were filled with decks of cards.

She chuckled, "I can't believe how easy it was to capture you two. My predicament was correct. I caught Paris's heroes off guard!" She flicked her wrist and the cards surrounding the two Miraculous got smaller, "I am Misfortune Teller! And you will both give me your Miraculous!"

"Never!" Ladybug snarled and she lifted her yoyo in the air, "Lucky Char-"

Her words were cut off as her yoyo was suddenly knocked out of her hands. It flew out of the tornado of cards and landed next to the akuma. Chat cursed and began fighting his way through the cards.

"Fools! You can't stop me! I can predict every single thing you will do next!" Misfortune Teller shouted. The cards then created a dense circle around the heroes, enclosing them into a trap, "I know the truth! You two are so oblivious."

"What are you talking about?" Ladybug yelled at her. She was being pushed against Chat as they both struggled to escape.

The akuma laughed once more, "You two really don't know?" She glared down, "Never mind about me. This trap will keep you occupied until you both confess." The cards finally hardened into a crystal ball which Ladybug and Chat sat inside, helpless.

"I'll leave you two to figure out the truth. This trap is built on dishonesty. Until one of you confess the deep truth you've been holding inside of you, the trap will be broken." Misfortune Teller smirked, "That's only if, you will confess." With that the villain jumped off the building and began unleashing havoc on the city.

"We have to get out of here!" Ladybug grunted as she tried kicking the wall of the trap, "The city needs us!"

"But the only way to save them to to confess!" Chat protested. "That's the trap's weakness!"

"Confess what?" She said in distress, "There could be so many things! I don't know what-" she stopped mid-sentence, finally realising.

"We need to reveal each other's identity." Chat stayed, speaking her thoughts out loud, "Its the only way we can save the city."

"No! We can't! We have to find another way." She said frantically.

"And then what? Paris will fall into the hands of evil if we don't do it."

Ladybug stared at him, desperate to change his mind, but his eyes flashed a sense of seriousness, something Ladybug hasn't seen before. She took a deep breath and nodded, "Okay. Count of three."

"One." Chat started.

"Two." Ladybug followed quietly.

"Three!" The two heroes said in unison, "Plagg! Tikki! Claws in! Spots off!"

Red and green light surrounded them and the crystal trap shattered open. Marinette and Adrien fell out, collapsing on the floor. She slowly opened her eyes and saw Adrien. Her crush. Her love. Her partner, laying before her.

"Adrien??" Marinette gasped.

He looked up at her with wide eyes, "Marinette? Your my Ladybug?"

Ignoring the fact he said 'my', Marinette stared at him in shock. After all this time. After all the fights, battles, laughter, and smiles, it was him all along.

"It's me." She said quietly.

"It's you! Ladybug! I can't believe it's you!" Adrien laughed and smiled at her.

"Wait, what?" Marinette looked at him, confused and hurt.

"Ladybug? What's wrong?" Adrien reached out to hold her hand, but she pushed him away.

"My name isn't Ladybug! My name is Marinette!" She cried, "Stop comparing me to.. her!"

Adrien backed away, "But.. Ladybug. It's me Chat-"

"I don't care!" She yelled, cutting him off, "Is that how you see me, Adrien? Is Ladybug the only person you see me as?" Tears rolled down her cheeks as she continued, "I thought you were gonna accept me like I accepted you. But I was wrong." She got up and ran towards the door, leading inside the building.

"Ladybug- No, Marinette! Wait! Please!" Adrien shouted after her.

"It's too late for that." She murmered, making her way down the stairs in a hurry to leave him. She couldn't believe it. He didn't care about her afterwards.

All he ever loved was Ladybug. And that isn't the real her.

Suddenly, her vision turned blurry and a voice spoke to her in her head:

"My poor little child. Heartbroken, I see?" The voice chuckled, "Not to worry. I am Hawkmoth and I have come to save your hurting heart. Go and take revenge with Misfortune Teller, Lovebug, and darken the hearts of the people of Paris."

Lovebug lifted her head and smirked evily. Tikki was once sucked inside her earrings, but an akuma was present with her, "Yes Hawkmoth."

"Remember the other tasks you need to accomplish." The voice growled, "Steal Chat Noir's Miraculous and bring it to me."

"As you wish."

I learned my lesson that I shouldn't have procrastinated and next time I'll be on it and step up my game.
