Alex grew up in quite a poor and rough neighborhood, her family having fallen from grace an esteem many years ago. They had been famous bankers when her fathers political career had gotten quite dark and lead to their families demise.

Growing up in this type of environment hasent changed Alex's as much as people might have thought. Although she does know all the ways that life can mess with someone, she had always been a happy child.

The type of girl to go outside an paint on the pavement, or try and talk to someone who seemed lonely. The girl who was always trying to smile whenever she just wanted to cry.

Alex grew a tough skin of kindness as the grew older. Going to school, she excelled at writing and journalistic investigation. Her aim was to uncover what the world had to offer, yet it always seemed to land her in more trouble than she could deal with. Many times she had to be saved by her father, who grew more and more dissapointed in her lack of character.

After graduating, Alex worked a low wage job and finally landed a position at a newspaper company, writing for the investigate journalism section.

Personality

The world has not yet managed to quash Alex's positivity and faith in humanity. It is rare that she can be seen flowing and if so then only when she is truly afraid.

Alex can scare easily yet cannot be discouraged. She has a talent of being able to swallow her fear despite her instincts and after some complaining actually do what she must.

The woman is quite the rambler, letting her thoughts flow freely and wanting to know just that little bit more.

Her stubbornness could truly one day be the death of her. She would never let something go if it concerns her.

Yet appearances can be deceiving.

Alex is taken as a naive young woman and sent to galas to journal the gliz and glamor, yet she knows where she is from. Alex may be an optimist and not a realist, yet she has seen the harshness of the world. Despite this she rejects it.

Her family and subsequently Alex herself have been in direct trade and contact with the penguin. Somewhat of an amiable relationship was started between them with her having called him uncle when she was younger.

Yet as she grew and found out what he was she decided to distance herself. Yet many times she still ebenefits from his past kindness.

Their families were in business ties, her father attempting to rise up by associating with the penguin.

Alex can avoid being threatened in most areas with the penguin, yet her investigation gets her in trouble quite often.
