Quote of the Day #10
"If I win, I'm a prodigy. If I lose, then I'm crazy. That's the way history is written."
- Artemis Fowl, Artemis Fowl by Eoin Colfer
I know I haven't done a quote of the day in forever. And ever. And ever and ever and ever. (See what I have done there, Hamilton fans?) But I just started reading the first Artemis Fowl book today, and though at first I had my doubts (mostly because it was about a BOY named ARTEMIS, which totally defies everything and anything in Greek Mythology), but it's EXTREMELY good, and I was literally just now reading it, then I got to this quote, and I was like yes, yes, yes. So I put the book down, pulled out my trusty phone, and here we are! I felt a need to do this quote because it's just SO TRUE. History always seems to be altered to where it supports the winning side. For example, back to Hamilton, Aaron Burr wasn't THAT bad (even though he killed my favourite founding father), and Hamilton wasn't THAT good. Especially after what he did to poor Eliza. That was just unforgivable. No matter what they say in It's Quiet Uptown.
Anyways, what I'm saying is Hamilton wasn't a saint and Burr wasn't a demon (even though Leslie Odom Jr. did guest star as a demon in season seven of Supernatural). Okay, wow. I just got really far into my rant. All I wanted to say is that for one) nobody's perfect and two) the quote is has some really meaning, and also, 3) in case you haven't noticed, I tend to jump from fandom to fandom when I talk. Anyways, love all you readers here on the amazing world of Wattpad, and thank you ultra much for everything you guys have done for my account.
Until next time,
-Artemis (because Artemis is a goddess, and therefore female. It is a girl's name. No offense to any male Artemises in the world and also no offense to Eoin Colfer)
