So I watched the Doctor Who Christmas special last night. It was SO GOOD!! There was the usual humour and banter between the Doctor and both his friends and foes.

But among all the fun, one quote especially stood out to me.

The Doctor says:

"Things end. That's all. . . . Everything ends and it's always sad, but everything begins again, and that's always happy."

And that really struck me. One, because it reminded me of what the Eleventh Doctor says right before he regenerated. Two, because it reminds me of my own life.

Things end. And that hurts. That hurts so much.

But for every ending there is a beginning.

A new beginning.

And that?

That is so incredibly happy.
