CHAPTER FOUR - POGUE LAW

"That's the Grady White" John B stated as he swam up to the surface "It's the Grady White Eleanor and I saw when we were surfing the surge"

John B, Kiara, Pope and JJ all climbed back up onto the HMS Pogue after literally running into the Grady White in the marsh.

"Maybe it hit the Jetty?" John B said.

"Wait, you guys surfed the surge?" Kiara asked, concerned.

"That's my boy, Pogue style" JJ laughed while giving a high five to John B.

"Wait. . .but do we even know who's boat this is?" Pope asked.

"No, but we're about to find out" John B stated, glancing down at the water.

"Dude, cmon, it's too deep" JJ rolled his eyes.

"Only for the week and feeble JJ"

"Well I'm not resuscitating you. I'm just making that clear up front" JJ protested with his hands up like he was getting arrested.

"That's fine" John B replied as he pulled up the anchor while being lectured by his friends.

"Dived down fool" Pope said, giving him the military salute.

"Diver down" John B nodded, saluting him back.

"Yeah he is" JJ pushed him into the water as John B gasped before swimming down to the Grady White. Soon as he found the motel key he then immediately swam back up to the surface.

"Any dead bodies?" Pope asked panicked as JJ's eyes went wide "Looting potential?"

"No, no, no but I found this motel key"

"A key?"

"Great, we salvaged a damn hotel key" JJ sighed as he rolled his eyes.

"We should report this week to the coast guard, we might get a finders fee!" Kiara spoke up.

"Yeah and not work all summer. Thanks Agather, ya batch!"

Little did they know, after speeding off in their boat, a dead body had floated to the surface.

"Cmon, Leon. We need her" John B said to Leon as he walked into the garage where Eleanor and Leon were working on a car.

"We actually do" JJ added, followed by Pope and Kie "We kinda have a situation and yeah, we just need her. It's Pogue law"

Eleanor chuckled as she raised an eyebrow at John B "Pogue law huh?"

"Sorry guys but it's still no" He looked at Eleanor who frowned "I'm sorry Eli but you were supposed to come here to stay out of trouble and this Pogue law shit doesn't sound like I'm staying out of trouble Leon"

"Shit" JJ mumbled as he turned to John B "This is what happens when you don't think the plan through, man"

"This was your 'brilliant' plan to begin with!" Pope exclaimed as he quoted the words brilliant.

Eleanor rolled her eyes before looking at Leon "Por favor, Leon, te prometo que no haré ninguna estupidez. Es agradable no ser perseguido por la policía y ser un adolescente normal por una vez"

Who was Eleanor kidding she loved being chased by the police and the adrenaline that comes with it but was she going to say that to Leon? No, she was going to say anything that will help her leave.

"Did anyone understand that?" JJ asked the Pogues confused as Kiara smacked him lightly across the head "Ow!" He stated dramatically.

Leon sighed as he knew he couldn't say no that face "Fine. Go but be careful, you hear me?"

Eleanor smirked as she hugged Leon and he hugged her back before kissing her forehead "Gracias" All she had to do was show him her puppy dog eyes and he'd let her do anything. It had worked for the past seventeen years so why would it stop now.

Leon shook his head as he watched her quickly wipe her hands on one of the cloths to get the car grease off before leaving with her friends "I can't believe I just fell for that, again"

"Okay so what do you guys need me for?" Eleanor asked as the Pogues walked out the garage.

"So we found something at the Marsh" Pope told her "And then this dumbass found something else that could quite literally get us in trouble with the police"

"Rude much" John B showed the motel key to Eleanor "It was the Grady White we saw surfing"

"And nobodies listening to us. We tried to report it but they didn't do anything!" Kiara said.

"More bothered about some fucking diabetic dog" JJ added.

"So we need to find the room this key belongs to and somehow sneak in-"

Eleanor shrugged "I'm down" Taking the key out of John B's hand before putting it in the back pocket of her jeans "Don't freak out though Pope cuz there's gonna be police there, Leon was telling me about some guy that's gone missing. Bet ya he owns the Grady"

As Eleanor started walking with Kiara and Pope as they discussed the marsh, JJ looked to John B "See I told you, you start blushing"

"Shut up" He pointed his finger at JJ before they started playfully shoving each-other.

"Damn, and I thought the Chateau looked bad" JJ whistled as the Pogues laid eyes on the Motel from the HMS Pogue.

John B had the same reaction as JJ "God this place is a complete shit show"

"Are we thinking motel or meth lab?" Kiara laughed and looked at Eleanor as she laughed too before answering "Defiantly a meth lab"

"This doesn't look like a place someone with a Grady White stays" John B said as he inspected the motel's outside with a frown.

"No. Looks like a place someone with a Grady White would get killed" Pope added, staring at the wreckage with wide eyes.

"This is your captain speaking. HMS Pogue coming in for landing" JJ stood up on the boat and docked it as it reached the shore.

Eleanor shook her head and playfully rolled her eyes as she jumped off the boat "Don't let them do anything stupid" Pope told Eleanor as she held her hands up in mock surrender "You have my word Pope"

But he didn't look amused "Relax, it's just a motel. Acting as if the cops are already here" Taking the key out her back pocket as she dangled it in front of JJ and John B "Cmon boys, let's get this show on the road"

Walking in front of the two as the girl started to look for the door that was associated with the key.

"Your so into her man" JJ begun again, holding onto John B.

"Oh my god" John B groaned while trying to push JJ off him "Your so weird"

"JB, I literally see you checking her out right now" JJ laughed "So when are you gonna swoop on that man?"

"No Pogue on Pogue macking bro" John B stated "Besides your the one always calling her hot"

"Yeah but she's not actually a Pogue so it doesn't count" JJ shrugged.

"You need help" John B replied "Not a little help like a lot of help. It's like every girl who just has a heart beat, you're like. . .'uhh!'"

"What? It's not a big deal"

"This is us" Eleanor said cutting their conversation short as they reached the motel room they were looking for.

"Alright I got this" JJ said "Housekeeping!" JJ put on a high pitched voice and knocked on the door. Of course nobody answered.

"That was a shit high pitched voice" Eleanor said before putting the key in the key hole.

JJ shoved Eleanor's shoulder playfully "No security cameras, no power, no one's gonna know"

And Eleanor then flung the door open as JJ lead the two into the room while John B pulled out a flashlight. It was quite dark inside and the only thing standing out so far was a duffel bag on the single bed closest to the door.

"Check the bag" John B told JJ "See if there's a name on there somewhere"

"Jacket. Denim slides" The two boys began listing things off things they could see in the room while Eleanor was looking for something that she liked to call actually important.

"No name on the jacket. This guys defiantly over 50, he's got new balances"

"Yo, dude, come here. Maybe this is where they were fishing" JJ said as he leant over the bedside table and looked down at the map that had some coordinates on.

"No, that's off the continental shelf" John B said as the two boys started discussing it while Eleanor had laid her eyes on a note with the numbers 61666 scribbled on it.

"Tissues for when you get lonely" JJ spoke in an accent "Ooh!"

"Did you find anything?" John B asked while being in his own little world.

"A really awesome Dopp kit you won't let me steal" JJ wined, ignoring the fact that he still stole something from the kit "Yeah, cause we're not stealing shit, JJ!"

While Eleanor had found a safe that she knew the numbers were her key to get in "61666" The girl murmured as she punched in the numbers to the safe.

She then heard the click of the safe unlock "Oh mierda" Eleanor tensed up as she saw the safe full of money and a gun "Guys? Your gonna wanna see this"
