Seokjin sets his phone to the side as Jungkook walks into the kitchen.

"Oh, you've got the cupcakes started already?" the pup curiously asks.

"Nope. Just set everything out for us to make," Seokjin tells him as Jungkook sniffs around at the ingredients. "Wouldn't wanna start without you."

Jungkook smiles up at him. "T-Thanks. We should get started then."

Once they get the batter made and get the cupcakes into their baking pan, they go sit at the kitchen counter stools and wait for them to be baked.

"So, Jungkook-ah." Seokjin rests his chin in his palm and notices how Jungkook's dog ears perk up. "You should tell me about yourself."

He hopes to learn some new things about dog hybrids and about how Jungkook lives, but he gets more than that in response: Jungkook tells him about how much he likes games, singing, video making, drawing, food, dancing and goofing around— but not a single thing about his dog hybrid traits.

He's cute, however. Seokjin learns so much in five minutes and it's so nice to listen to the omega go on and on in his quiet, gentle voice, and to watch as he doesn't make eye contact a single time with the alpha.

"You like a lot of things," Seokjin states. Only then does Jungkook meet his gaze.

"Yeah, I like to try things."

"Hmm." Seokjin still didn't learn about his roommate's hybrid traits. He wants to know so he can know what type of hybrid he's living with— he's never been friends with a dog hybrid. "Okay, so what about dog stuff?"

Jungkook stares off into nothing, his eyebrows furrowed. Seokjin mentally curses to himself as he thinks that he's upset the omega, but Jungkook turns to him and tilts his head.

"Dog...stuff..?"

"Yeah." Seokjin rubs at the back of his neck and now he's the one who averts his eyes. "I'm just curious."

"But you're a wolf," Jungkook tells him. "We aren't much different..."

It may be somewhat true, but Seokjin knows that there's differences between them whether it be the way they carry themselves or the fact that Jungkook is much smaller— that may be because he's an omega, though.

Seokjin wouldn't know.

"We're different in a lot of ways, I think. Not in a bad way... it's just... Doesn't it seem a bit...?" He doesn't want to say it's weird, but it does feel a bit strange to be living with someone so close yet so far in relation.

"Hm. Well I think that maybe dogs are more playful," Jungkook starts, "and I think that wolves are really strong and fierce and cool."

The alpha hums. "Do you think I'm fierce and strong and cool, Jungkook-ah?"

With no hesitation, the omega nods and his eyes beam up at Seokjin.

"Really cool. Really fierce-looking, hyung. And I think wolves have pointier, nicer ears, and your tails are so fluffy. Dog hybrids are cute and we're people-pleasers. We obey. You wolves— you're like the big, strong, scary older brothers to dogs."

He's rambling, but his points are very intriguing to Seokjin. The alpha wolf listens well, watching how the playful doggie look in Jungkook's eyes never leaves.

"Are you saying I'm your scary older brother?"

Jungkook's lips part and he stares at Seokjin. "I- I wouldn't say that. We aren't brothers, w-we're roommates! We're friends! Friends."

The timer for the cupcakes goes off and they end their conversation to go and get them out to begin decorating.

Seokjin likes that he's learned so much within such a short amount of time— it's what he wanted.

He also starts to learn the omega's scent, which is still strong even over the cupcake scent.

Jungkook's scent makes sense; it's like what the image of a sweet little puppy and flowers would smell like. His flowery scent laces with Seokjin's stormy scent and the cupcakes filling the kitchen. Together they smell like rain on a late spring evening. The cupcake sweetness is also similar to how sweet the omega smells as well.

"Look, hyung!"

Jungkook points eagerly at his cupcake, which he's given dog ears to, the tips of the ears covered in sprinkles. It's cute.

Jungkook is cute.

"Very cute."
