Seokjin is heavily confused.

They were having such a good time, chatting and laughing as they waited for their food. But right before their food came, Jungkook grew silent. And he only picks at his food.

Seokjin decided not to question it, so he only glanced up a few times at Jungkook, slightly worried. But after about the seventh time he's glanced up at him, Seokjin senses something more. He senses...

He smells the faintest of heat mixed with panic and the omega's eyes are dazed, focused on the table.

"Jungkook-ah?"

Jungkook's dog ears rear back and an unsettling noise leaves him as he shifts uncomfortably in his seat. "Hyung. Take me home."

Seokjin wants to curse and ask a million questions, but he's also hit with different scents surrounding them— he bares his sharp teeth at all the alphas glancing over at Jungkook.

He gets a grip once all the curious eyes retreat and he quickly gets up to lead the omega pup out of the restaurant.

He has no clue how Jungkook is in heat because he told Seokjin that he takes suppressants before he moved in with him— he hopes that was true. He hopes more than that.

He hopes that Jungkook feels okay as he rests in the passenger seat of Seokjin's car.

He hopes that the omega can keep himself composed for the ride.

He hopes that it's nothing serious— hopes that Jungkook's heat isn't so sudden on him. But judging by the panicked pup... he guesses it must be exactly that.

"Come on, Jungkook." They're parked at their apartment building, but Jungkook stays put in his seat.

Seokjin ends up taking the pup into his arms and carrying him to their apartment. His scent makes the alpha's knees weak, but his determination to get Jungkook home is much stronger. When they get inside, he takes Jungkook to his bedroom and lays him on his bed.

But the omega wraps his arms tighter around him and whines. "Don't leave me. Stay, alpha."

The wolf shudders as Jungkook begs, but he knows it's just the omega in him speaking.

"No, no." He grabs ahold of Jungkook's wrist and tries to pry him off. He hates to ask it, but, "Do you usually spend your heat with an alpha?" It's so bitter on his tongue.

"I- I used to spend them with Namjoon hyung—"

Seokjin stops listening to whatever else Jungkook says afterwards because wow, he wasn't expecting that response.

That damn Namjoon guy.

He doesn't want to leave Jungkook to suffer in his heat all alone, he doesn't want Namjoon coming over, and he doesn't need to stay in here with the omega while he's in heat.

But he has to choose one of the three.

Fuck.
