Matthew ran passed tress as he was running as fast as he could tears ran down his face as he took a quick turn jumping over fallen trees and everything he didn't care if his breath was running out he just needed to get away from the people who were running after Matthew. The Canadian turned his head to see if they were close but he squeaked and soon regretted it seeing a small group of people with guns along with barking and snarling dogs and they were catching up quickly.

'Oh god what do I do?!' Matthew thought frantically he knew he can't run forever especially with the wounds all over his frail body. he felt like he couldn't breath his lungs were on fire as he ran 'Maybe I should st-No! I-I can't now not anymore theirs no turning back if I stopped t-they'd Catch me again and I won't hear the end of it and what about him'

'........'

'Him do this for him!' More tears flowed down out of Matthew violet eyes this 'him' was his brother the person who sacrificed his own life for Matthew the day they were going to escape which was moments ago.

Both brothers were suppose to get out together but that didn't happen someone caught them and his brother told him to run but Matthew couldn't do he just stood their until his brother started yelling and pushing him telling him that he'd distract the guards but he ended up getting shot even tho he did he fought for his little brother and that's when Matthew ran as his older brother yelled at him to go Matthew regretted turning back around because when that happen he saw his brothers grinning face before he got shot right into the skull. Matthew was thinking he should've helped his brother and fought with him for he'd still be alive Matthew really felt guilty now as he felt like he was about to collapse any second from exhaustion or for mourning over his brother. 'What's the point anyway' Matthew thought but he began shaking his head thinking about his brother 'No! I-I'm doing this f-for h-him even if I d-die he t-told me not t-to die a-and I made a p-promise to him I'll get out of here he'd smacked you right now if he heard you right! So do it f-for him!' Matthew grinned feeling the confidence run in him as he started to run faster not stopping not caring if he was about to faint or fall. he sighed happily as he heard the noise get farther and father away.

But he stopped seeing a cliff in his view the male then went closer and started to catch his breath he then looked down at the clif he turned pale of how deep the fall looked and how fast the river was flowing if he tries to run to the end and cross it he knows he wouldn't make it but if he jumped he doesn't know what will happen. Matthew started to shiver as he heard dogs barking and and the hunters yelling. 'What do I do what do I do' Matthew bit his lip as he looked at the sky it reminded Matthew about something well someone it reminded him of Alfred's wonderful glimmering sky blue eyes. Then a thought ran through the Canadian's head.

'What would Alfred do...' What would Alfred do? Smack Matthew upside the head and tell him to grow up that's what he would do. A voice well a memory then replayed in his head making Matthew think.

"You know you always can't depend on me I know I'm your big bro but I'm going to be gone one day and I don't want you to cry sometimes you just have to depend in your self have confidence but you don't have to worry about that I'll be your hero and I'll be their for you always Mattie!" Alfred's grin came in his mind making him smile oh how his brother would think of ideas just like that even tho some were stupid and could get both of them killed it managed to work sometimes but now he's not here and Matthew has himself to relay on. The blonde looked down at the river feet below him "I-I have to d-depend on myself" Matthew just still stood their hearing the footsteps barking and threats becoming closer and closer.

'I don't know if this is this the right or wrong thing to do but I made a promise thank you Alfred' Matthew looked up at the sky once more but as he was about to jump a bullet went straight into Matthew's shoulder forcing him to fall over multiple curses and more gunshots went off as Matthew saw the river going closer and closer to him before he feel into darkness.
