-Chapter 13-

Everyone was having a great time, Mike and Devin approved of my new friends and was happy for me, but throughout the whole dinner, Mike seemed a little distant and not himself.

"Are you sure you're okay?" I whispered to him as we all walked alongside the beach. It was a few minutes before the sun was set to go down and no one wanted to go home, so Keith and Devin suggested we all go for a walk, so here we are walking along the sandy beach with a cool wind blowing around us, setting the tone for the sunset. It was nice, the sky started to change from its clear blue to a shade darker.

Mike squeezed my hand gently and looked down into my eyes. "Yes, I'm fine, for the hundredth time." He assured me. "I wasn't able to fully restore my strength before we got to the diner that's all." He further explained.

"Why didn't you? You need your strength." I protested.

He simply chuckled and pulled me close. "You don't have to worry about me I'm perfectly fine. I know how to deal with low strength. You just worry about enjoying your graduation day." He then kissed my cheek and we stood near the water and watched as the sun began to set, as the waves crashed against our bare feet.

"I just don't want anything happening to you." I spoke softly, looking out into the water. I heard him let out a heavy sigh before he turned me around in his arms. I looked up into those pretty hazel eyes of his and felt myself melt on the inside.

"Listen to me." He spoke sternly as his eyes roamed over my face before landing back onto my eyes. "I will be fine, no matter what. If anything was to happen, I have Keith and Devin here with me. They know when I'm in need of help, so you don't need to worry your pretty little head about me. I can take care of myself, okay?"

I nodded my head finally giving up the fight, and smiled at him.

"But what I do know is, I need a kiss. Haven't had a taste in days and I don't think I can wait any longer." He said jokingly.

My smile brightened as I stood on my tip-toes and kissed his lips. His arms snaked around my waist as he pulled me closer. He pressed his lips onto mine savoring the sweet taste of my strawberry lip-gloss.

I felt his tongue lightly graze my bottom lip asking for entrance. I slightly parted my lips as his tongue slid inside. Our tongues collided as explosives went off inside my head. This was turning out to be the best day ever.

The kiss grew deeper as our bodies fused as one. Our tongues were exploring every inch of each other's mouth as if it were something new. My head was spinning and my body was reacting to this lustful experience in a whole different way. It was something I've never experienced before and I kind of liked it.

We slowly pulled away and stared into each other's eye letting the moment drift into the windy yet peaceful air around us. A smile made its way onto my face as if it were a small baby sneaking a peek at its Christmas toys.

"Wow." Was all I could manage to say.

"Where have you been all my life?" I heard him whisper.

I just smiled and laid my head on his chest as he continued to hold me up. We stared off into the ocean as the sun disappeared behind the horizon, leaving behind strays of violet, blue, orange, red, and bits of yellow in the sky. It was just beautiful.
