CHAPTER 62
Y/n pov
My tears wouldn't stop. They flowed continuously as I watched my love fighting for his life. He kept staring at me, blood trickling down the corner of his lips. His white shirt was soaked with his own blood, making my heart ache with unbearable pain.
I kneeled beside him like a lifeless body, gently placing his head on my lap.
"T-Taehyung," I whispered softly, caressing his hair. His eyes filled with tears, which rolled down his cheeks.
"It hurts, Y/Nah," he said, blood spilling from his mouth. His voice was a testament to the immense pain he was enduring.
"Wait here. I'll call someone for help," I said, starting to stand up. But he cupped my cheeks with his bloody hand and, through his pain, managed a weak smile.
"Don't, Y/N. Stay with me," he pleaded, his voice trembling. "I feel like this is the last time I'll see you. " He coughed, blood staining his lips, struggling to speak.
I kissed his forehead, my tears falling silently. "Don't say that, Taehyung. You'll live. We'll be together forever."
His eyes locked onto mine, filled with a mixture of love and sorrow. He tried to speak, but only a pained gasp escaped his lips. Desperation clawed at my heart. I held him tighter, hoping my love could somehow keep him alive.
"Taehyung, please, you have to hold on," I pleaded, my voice breaking. "I can't lose you."
He shook his head slightly, his eyes filled with sorrow.
"C-Can I taste your lip for the last time?" His eyes still sparkled with love, just for me. I smiled slightly at him, despite the pain. My heart ached to see him like this.
I slowly moved my face closer to his and pressed my lips to his, making him let out a shaky breath. He had no strength to move his lips due to the pain, so I moved mine passionately, hoping he could feel my love. Our cheeks were wet with blood and tears, each conveying the torrent of emotions running through our bodies.
He cupped my cheeks with his cold, trembling hand. I slowly pulled away and rested my forehead against his. His body was as cold as ice, making my heart race. I grabbed his hand, intertwining my fingers with his.
"Don't leave me, Taehyung. Don’t leave your Y/N all alone in this world." I cried harder, looking into his pained eyes.
"Promise me you will be happy in the future. Forget me, Y/N. Your happiness is my happiness. So don't make your Taetae sad. Keep your beautiful smile, hmm?" he said, managing a faint smile.
I shook my head, tears streaming down my face. "How can you ask me to forget you? You’re my everything, Taehyung. My heart, my soul. I can’t imagine a future without you."
He reached up with his trembling hand, brushing away a tear from my cheek. "You have to be strong for me, Y/N. I need to know you’ll be okay."
I clasped his hand against my cheek, feeling the chill of his skin. "I don't know how to be happy without you," I whispered, my voice breaking.
His eyes softened, filled with a love that seemed to transcend the pain. "You are stronger than you think. Promise me, Y/N. Promise me you'll live a full, happy life. That’s all I want."
"I’ll try. For you."
He gave a slight nod, his breath shallow. "That’s my girl," he whispered, a tear slipping down his cheek. "I love you so much, Y/N. Always remember that."
"I love you too , please, stay with me."
But his eyes slowly closed, and his hand went limp in mine. My heart pounded wildly in my chest as panic surged through me. I shook his shoulder desperately.
"Taehyung... Taehyung, please! Open your eyes and look at me!" My voice cracked with fear and desperation. I gently tapped his cheeks, hoping he would stir, but he remained still.
"No, no, no..." I whispered, pressing my ear to his chest. There was nothing. No heartbeat. His body was cold and lifeless, his beautiful face now pale and covered in blood.
"Don't you dare leave me alone, Taehyung," I cried, my voice rising into a frantic shout.
"Look at your Y/N's miserable state!" Tears streamed down my face as I clutched him tighter.
"TAEHYUNG!" I screamed his name, my sobs wracking my body.
"TAEHYUNG!"
I opened my eyes, breathing heavily. My heart was still pounding, and sweat poured down my forehead. Blinking rapidly, I felt tears streaming from my eyes, my cheeks wet. With a shaky hand, I wiped them away.
"Oh God, what happened?" I whispered to myself. Slowly, I turned to see Taehyung looking at me with deep concern. That meant it was a nightmare. But it felt so real.
I scanned him from head to toe, ensuring there was no harm, no blood. Seeing him perfectly fine, I sighed in relief.
"What happened, love?" he asked, cupping my cheeks gently. I shook my head, staring into his eyes, trying to calm the turmoil within me.
"I tried to wake you up. You were shaking so badly. Did you have a nightmare?" he asked, wrapping his arms around my waist, pulling me closer.
I nodded, my voice trembling. "It was horrible, Tae. I saw you... I saw you dying."
His eyes softened as he held me tighter, his warmth seeping into my skin. "Shh, it's okay. I'm right here. Nothing's going to happen to me."
I buried my face in his chest, feeling his heartbeat, strong and steady. It was so different from the scary images still in my mind.
"It felt so real," I whispered, my voice breaking. "I was so scared."
He stroked my hair soothingly. "I know, love. But it was just a nightmare. I'm here with you, and I'm not going anywhere."
I looked up at him, his face inches from mine. "Promise me," I pleaded, my voice barely audible. "Promise me you'll stay safe."
He leaned down, his lips brushing against my forehead. "I promise. I'll always be here to protect you."
I held onto him, the remnants of fear slowly disappearing with each comforting word he spoke. The nightmare might have been terrifying, but in his arms, I found a safe a place where fear could not touch me.
As we lay back down, Taehyung kept me close, his presence a constant reminder that the nightmare was over. His fingers traced soothing patterns on my back, relax me into a sense of security.
"Try to sleep, my love," he whispered.
"I'll be right here, watching over you."
I closed my eyes, feeling the weight of exhaustion pull me under. With Taehyung by my side, the darkness of the nightmare faded, replaced by the warmth of his love. And in his embrace, I found peace once more.
He kissed my forehead and buried his face in the crook of my neck. His warm breath tickled my skin, sending shivers down my spine. His lips moved gently against my neck, planting soft kisses along my collarbone. Each kiss was a promise, a reassurance of his presence and love.
"I love you," he whispered between kisses, his voice a soothing balm to my frayed nerves.
"I love you too, Tae," I murmured, my fingers threading through his hair, pulling him closer. His hands roamed over my back, tracing every curve, every line, as if memorizing the very essence of me.
Our lips met in a slow, tender kiss. It was gentle at first, a prove of our bond. But as the kiss deepened, it became more urgent, a desperate need to feel and to connect. His tongue brushed against mine, and I moaned softly into his mouth, losing myself in the sensation.
He pulled back slightly, his eyes dark with emotion. "You're my everything," he said, his voice thick with emotion. "I don't know what I'd do without you."
I cupped his face in my hands, brushing my thumbs over his cheeks. "And you're mine. Always."
He smiled, a slow, heart-melting smile that made my heart skip a beat.
He rolled us over so that I was lying on top of him, his hands resting on my hips.
As sleep began to claim me once more, I felt Taehyung's fingers tracing lazy patterns on my back, his touch a gentle reminder of his presence. "Sleep, my love," he murmured.
"I'll be here when you wake up," He whispered softly. I kissed his chest, feeling the warmth of his skin beneath my lips. Then, I nestled my head against him, listening to the steady rhythm of his heartbeat. Each beat seemed to echo through my entire body, claiming every part of me.

Haerin hummed a soft tune as she poured water over her flower plants, a radiant smile never leaving her lips. Her cheeks were flushed, her whole face red with blush.
"Oh God, what's happening to me?" she murmured to herself, touching her warm cheeks.
She remembered how she had met Jin randomly, how sweetly he had talked to her. Those memories flashed through her mind, and every time she thought about him, her heart swelled with unfamiliar emotions.
But when he had said he needed to go back to his village, a wave of sadness had washed over her. She shook her head and sighed, trying to push the thought away.
"Haerin! HAERIN!"
The sudden shout made her jump, nearly spilling the water. She turned to see her brother, Jung Hoseok, staring at her with furrowed brows.
"Where were you? How many times did I call you?" He looked exasperated. She gulped and chuckled nervously.
"O-oh, actually, I-I—"
She stuttered, unable to find the right words. Hoseok stared at her, his expression filled with curiosity and concern.
"Why is your face so red? Are you feeling unwell?" he asked, stepping closer to examine her.
"No, maybe... It's just really hot today," she answered, trying to sound convincing.
Hoseok raised an eyebrow, clearly not convinced. "Are you sure? You look like you’ve seen a ghost."
She forced a smile, trying to appear nonchalant. "I’m fine, really. Just daydreaming, I guess."
As she turned back to her plants, Hoseok watched her for a moment longer, then sighed and walked away, shaking his head. Haerin let out a breath she hadn’t realized she was holding. Her mind drifted back to Jin, her heart fluttering at the thought of him.
"Oh Jin," she murmured to herself, "what did you do to my poor heart."
