"Are we there yet?" I asked impatiently for the forty-fifth time. I heard Marco chuckled. "Nope, not yet." he replied. I pouted at what he said. Just when I entered the car, he wrapped a blindfold on my head, covering my eyes. Two hours has passed and I'm surprised he hasn't threw me out of his car.
After what seemed like the end of the world, I felt the car stop. "We're here, princess." Marco announced.
My mood suddenly lit up. I reached up and searched the knot of the blindfold. I felt it, thankfully. When I was about to untie it, a hand stopped me.
"Stop." Stupid Marco. "You'll ruin the surprise." I wrapped my arms over my chest. "But it's killing my eyes." I whine, but I heard no response. Instead, I heard my side of the door crack open.
"You know, If it wasn't for the surprise, I should've thrown you to the Pacific Ocean." I heard Marco groan as he carefully lead me out of his car. "You're too noisy for a girl."
"Yeah, I like you too." I jokingly said and laughed. I was about to pull him, still blind, when I felt his hand intertwine with mine.
"Are you seriously going to pull me when you don't even know the way?" he asked playfully. I showed him my smile. "Yup." He chuckled at my response and lead me to the way. After a few more steps, we stopped.
Marco let go of my hand and felt him reached his hand for the knot. He finally removed it. My vision was still blurry but I can see green. Hm, I'm guessing we're at a garden, and there was pink. Lots of pink.
I rubbed my eyes, hopefully will clear my vision and it did. Now I can see what Marco's surprise is. "Do you like it?" he asked nervously.
I faced him with a big smile on my face. "Marco.." I murmur. And what I did next surprised the both of us. "Thank you, so much." I was hugging him tight, like I'm not letting go. At that moment, I felt something.. weird. And I know it's dangerous because I felt it before.
I felt it whenever I was with Angelo, one of the reasons why I needed Marco.
That's when I realized my arms are still wrapped at this boy. My cheeks instantly turned red. I cleared my throat and let him go.
I looked up at him and shock was visible at his face. I looked away when I noticed him glance at me. "S-sorry. I-I was just brought u-up by the m-moment."
Trying to avoid his gaze, I examined his surprise for me. It was a big and pink cat stuffed toy. When I mean big, I mean big.. really, really big. It was placed at a white bench with an.. envelope?
Confusion took over me. I walked towards the bench and grabbed the envelope. "There's an envelope?" I didn't notice that I already said what in my mind. I examined the envelope and it was indeed, for me.
I was about to rip it open when Marco stopped me. "Stop!" he shouted, his eyes widen. "Don't open that envelope.. not yet" Now, I'm curious. "Why not now? It's for me anyway" I raised my eyebrow at him.
He groaned, trying to maintain his cool. "Just.. open it when the time comes." he sighed. "Promise me." Huh? "What do I have to promise you?" I asked. I think he sensed my confusion. "Look, I wasn't supposed to give you that now, but.. yeah." he said firmly.
I sighed, knowing that I won't win this argument. "Uhm, okay. I'll promise that I won't open this envelope when the time comes?" It came out as a question rather than a statement.
He nodded, relief all over his face. "Good." he shortly said. I squeezed the envelope in my pocket and decided to let go of the topic.
Instead, I admired my surroundings. "So what crossed your mind and decided to take me to a garden?" I blurted. Yes, we're at a garden and yes, it is indeed beautiful.
"I don't know." he shrugged and sat at the bench, next to the stuffed animal. "It maybe just reminds me of you." I blushed at the thought of he thinks of me. I walked towards the bench and sat at the other end. The stuffed animal is in between us.
I closed my eyes and let the wind brush my hair of my face. It was a relaxing feeling.
My eyes flicker open when I felt something at my ear. I reached my hand, and smiled when I felt it. "I always believed in the saying that 'A white rose is like a wedding ring.'"
I heard Marco said. I faced him and showed him my smile. This man will be the death of me.
"You know, you're like cotton candy." I softly said. I reached for his cheek and caressed it with my thumb. "You may be the reason why my teeth's rotten.." My sweet bone is attacking, and it's bad.
"But whatever I do, I just can't get enough of you."
