I looked in the mirror after getting out of the shower, staring at the burns that covered so much of my body, put there by THEM to cover Shina's lovely name that had once marked me over and over as her's. Even my back had been covered, although this time with tattoos, flames to symbolize the way our relationship had come to an end, 'the bridge burned to ashes' between us.

Well, they were wrong! I had her back with me and I wouldn't let them take her away again. And I wouldn't let her leave me either. I had been so close to having her love back last time, but I had made a foolish mistake. I had let others into our life that I shouldn't have trusted.

I'd mistakenly believed they were mine, but Elijah had remedied that thought. This time, I would make sure that any child would be mine.

I slowly opened my eyes, wincing slightly at the pain in my head. As soon as my eyes were fully open, I was being barraged with questions from a man who was standing next to the bed I lay upon, as couple of children, perhaps 9 or 10 years old, standing beside him and sniffling as they cried.

Looking at them with confusion, I said the first thing that came to mind.

"I'm sorry, but who are you people?"

As soon as I felt myself begin waking up, all I could do was pray that Elijah would find me. I know that he wouldn't give up on me, he would never stop looking for me.

"Please Elijah, find me soon. I need you."
