What was Dad thinking, wanting to send us back to school again! Did he really want to separate us from Mom again? Had we done something to upset him? That man had it coming, trying to flirt with Mom while I was standing next to her! So surely that was not it.

Maybe it was that girl? But she had totally deserved to end up in the fountain. She refused to stop bugging me when I was trying to tell Mom about the movie I wanted to watch with her.

Or perhaps it could have been when I kicked that dog that wouldn't stop barking at Mom and looked so very ready to bite her. It's not like I could jsut stand there and watch her being attacked! But that couldn't be it because Dad said he would have protected Mom too.

What had we done that deserved this punishment?

I hated the idea of separating the children from us like this, but even Shina was starting to agree that it was time for us to find a school so they could see for themselves what the world is like and be able to prepare themselves for the future.

Now we just needed to find one that wouldn't be against us keeping a close eye on the twins as they went about their education. Preferably one that would allow Shina to spend time in the classroom on a regular basis. Perhaps I should ask her about how she felt towards being a teacher's assistant. That could work out quite well if we could do that.

I started heading upstairs to find her, eager to seek her opinion on the subject.

I'd heard Dad talking to Mom. Perhaps it wouldn't be so bad this time, going to school. As long as Mom was there, I am sure it would be lots more fun! I should go tell Matthew before he gets any more upset.

After all, who knows what he could end up doing if he thought someone was trying to keep us, especially him, from Mom.

Even if it was Dad...

I was so excited! Even if my babies were going to be going back to school, this time I would be going with them! I would be able to protect them from anyone who would try to hurt them in any way, be it student or teacher.

And if someone had a problem with that, it would just prove how poor the educational system had fallen over the years.

After all, they should try to remember that our children were the future.
