CARINA'S P.O.V.

"Do you feel fine now Tin?" I asked her when she woke up. We are now in her hospital room. She still looked weak but undeniably happy.

"I'm fine now Cari. I didn't know that it was that hard to give birth. I mean, my first time wasn't that hard. I thought I was going to die!" She said and glared at her husband Jace who just kissed her forehead while chuckling.

"But you made it. Congratulations Chris" Regan said to his cousin.

"Thank you Reg. I think I won't be having third baby. It's so painful" She kept on her complaints.

"Oh no sweetheart, you don't. We'll be having 2 more children" Jace said playfully to his wife and she pinched his side as a response. Regan and I were just laughing at the 2 while Scarlet began to fall asleep on her father's arms.

"What about you Cari? How was it when you gave birth to Scarlet?" Christine asked me curiously.

"Well, it was painful alright but when I saw her and held her onto my arms, all the pain went away just like that" I answered and leaned over and kissed Scarlet's cheek. She was now sleeping while thumb sucking again. I slowly removed it from her mouth.

"Yes. It's really worth it"

It was almost 6 pm when we went home. When we entered the main door, Nilda was there on the doorway and informed us about a visitor.

"She's been here for about 30 minutes now. I told her that you weren't here but she insisted on waiting for you" She said. I was curious who it was but then my question was quickly answered when I saw her. I suddenly felt uneasy as I stared at her. Regan seemed to be surprised too.

"Hello. Sorry for coming unannounced but I just want to talk to the both of you" She said a little bit too sweetly. Regan called Fiona and handed her Scarlet who was still sleeping in his arms and put her to her room.

"What do you want Rosie? I just hope that you didn't come here to do stupid things again" Regan said immediately after Fiona was gone.

"No Regan. I am here to apologize of what I did the last time I was here. Especially to you Carina. I hope you forgive me" She said. Regan looked at me and intertwined our fingers together.

"It's up to Carina" Regan said and Rosie approached me and held my other hand. I couldn't tell if she was sincere or what because I feel something fishy about her coming here and apologized all of a sudden but then I shook the negative thoughts off and smiled at her.

"It's okay Rosie. I already forgot about it" I said honestly and she smiled at me. Well, I admit I got irritated and angry at her behavior before but that was all behind me now. Regan and I are doing great now so there is no place for any negative vibes.

"Thank you! Now that everything's alright, is it okay if I invite you both to a party I am going to host this coming Saturday?" I looked up Regan and he shrugged his shoulders as if telling me that it's up for me to decide. I heaved a sigh.

"I-I don't know Rosie. I have my daughter to attend to and she can't sleep without me so I am not sure" I answered reluctantly.

"It's okay. She has a nanny right? The party will start at 6 pm so you can go home early if you want to. I just hope that you could come. I will be introducing a new clothing line too so I hope Regan would see it. C'mon Regan, for old times' sake?" She asked him with a puppy dog eyes. Regan looked at me again.

"Okay. I think we can come but we will go home early" I said surrendering and that made Rosie smiled at me sweetly that I almost cringed. I don't understand what's happening to me but I really feel like something's not right with her sudden invitation. No. Maybe you're just being paranoid.

"Sure. No problem. I will be heading out now, it's already getting late. Bye" to my surprise, she kissed Regan on the cheek but before I could even react, she already went out. I glared at Regan but he just smirked at me. He was about to hold my hand when I evaded his hand and I heard him laughed.

"Why Kitten? You're jealous?" He asked teasingly and began tickling my sides. Much as I wanted to stay mad, he managed to make me laugh. He pulled me to his waiting arms and kissed me lingeringly.

"You're so cute when you're jealous. But you know you don't have to be jealous of her" I hugged him back and felt his warmth against my body.

"I know. I just can't help it" He chuckled and cupped my face with his hands as he gazed into my eyes.

"Are you sure you want to attend that party?" He asked me worriedly and I couldn't answer him right away. I wanted to say no but I kept my mouth shut. I wouldn't want his relationship with his friends to be ruined. I nodded my head.

"Okay. We'll just drop by there but then we'll go home early"

REGAN'S P.O.V.

I woke up when I felt Carina sprung out the bed and ran to the bathroom. My eye brows creased and got up too. I followed her to the bathroom and I saw her throwing up in the sink. I quickly approached her and rubbed her back to comfort her.

"Are you okay kitten?" I asked her worriedly and she just shook her head no as a response and continued vomiting. When she calmed down a little bit, she washed her face. I handed her a towel and she dried her face with it.

"How are you feeling?" I asked her again and tucked some strands of her hair behind her ears.

"I feel so weak and I nauseated" She answered faintly. I hoisted her up onto my arms and carried her back to the bed. I tucked her under the sheets and hugged her from behind. I felt up her forehead and she felt a little bit hot.

"Kitten, I think you have a fever. Wait here, I will call a doctor" I said and reached for my phone on the bedside table.

"It's okay honey. You don't have to call a doctor. I will be fine" She said but I wasn't convinced.

"No kitten. I insist" I dialed on my phone.

"She'll be here in 3O minutes" I said after the quick talk with the doctor and kissed her cheek.

"Oh god! I think I know this feeling" She purred which got me curious and more worried.

"Let's just wait for the doctor to arrive. I'm not sure yet so I don't want to jump into conclusions" I felt a rush of joy of what she said. I think I already get what she meant but she's right. We need to confirm it first. I hugged her again and she moaned contentedly. I felt my friend hardened as I heard her seductive moan. I suddenly had the urge to devour her right there and then but I controlled myself.

"Hey! I can feel that!" She exclaimed and laughed.

"What?" I asked her feigning ignorance but I began rubbing my hard-on against her butt.

"We just made love last night" she purred sexily.

"That's for last night. Today's different" I murmured seductively to her. I began kissing her neck and she rolled back her head to give me more access.

"The doctor will be here any minute now" She said with a shortened breath but I ignored her protests and made her faced me. I captured her lips for a kiss and she automatically clung her arms around my neck. I pulled up her negligee to just above her breasts. My kisses began descending to her breasts and began devouring her there. Her nipples were already hard. I caught one turgid nipple with my hungry mouth and suckled it before circling and played with my tongue. My hand was about to touch her down there when she suddenly pushed me away and quickly ran towards the bathroom.

I followed her again and I saw her vomiting again. I felt like I was the one who was feeling her suffering as I painfully watched her. When she was done, I guided her back to the bed and let her lay there. That's when we heard a knock on the door. I got up and opened the door. It was the maid together with the doctor I called.

"Hello Regan! Long time no see" She squealed playfully which made me almost rolled my eyes.

"Long time no see your butt Mia" I said jokingly which made her laughed out loud.

"Aren't you going to invite me in?" She asked and looked passed me.

"Sorry. C'mon in" I invited her while instructed the maid to go back to what she was doing. Mia greeted Carina enthusiastically before she proceeded on doing her job. Mia is an ObGyn and luckily she was available and has the time to come over. I was just watching them as Mia asked her questions and did some check up on Carina. Then she gave Carina a PTK and she went to the bathroom. I became anxious while waiting for her to come out but at the same time excitement was beginning to swim inside me.

"Congratulations! You're 3 weeks pregnant" Mia announced after. Carina and I stared into each other. I saw the joy into her eyes and I felt the same. Joy is an understatement of what I am feeling though. This is such a blessing and a gift for us.

"Yes!" I couldn't contain the happiness and excitement that I shouted. Mia just laughed at me while shaking her head. After some instructions and some advices, Mia left. I accompanied her until to her car.

"You look so happy. At last, everything is falling into place" She said. I inserted my hands into the pockets of my shorts and smirked at her.

"Of course. She couldn't resist my charm after all" I said jokingly which made her roll her eyes skyward.

"Whatever. Anyway, just make sure that she'll follow what I've said and then come to my clinic next week so that we can make sure that everything is okay" She reminded me.

"Okay. I will remember that. So, are you going to attend Rosie's party?" She furrowed at me.

"What party? She didn't mention anything. I haven't talked to her for almost a month now actually" She said which made me surprise. They're childhood friends and even though they kept on having misunderstandings, they still manage to fix it. Mia is the good girl while Rosie has something in her attitude that's why people were wondering how they became best friends.

"I don't know, she just came here yesterday and invited us. It's on Saturday" Her expression became serious as if she was thinking about something. When she noticed that I was observing her face, she smiled sweetly at me and opened her car.

"Okay, I will go now. I need to be at the hospital at 10 am. Take care of Carina"

"Okay Mia. Drive safely" When her car exited the gate, I went back inside. I went to Scarlet's room to check if she was already awake but she wasn't in her bed anymore. I went out of the room and that's when I saw Fiona just got out of our room.

"Good morning Fiona. Where is Scarlet?" I asked her.

"Good morning too. She's inside your room with her mommy" I thanked her and went inside our room. Scarlet was indeed there, on our bed, talking to Carina.

"Mommy, can we please go out today? I want to go to the playground" She asked her mommy while hugging her, her head's on her mom's chest. Carina was stroking her hair gently with her hand.

"Okay baby. We'll go there after we take a bath and eat breakfast" I heaved a sigh and approached them.

"Princess, can we go to the playground on another day? Mommy's not feeling well today" I said to her with a gentle tone. She sat up and looked at Carina.

"Why mommy, are you sick?" She asked worriedly and even felt up her mommy's forehead with the back of her hand. Carina laughed and sat up too.

"No baby. Mommy's fine" She assured our daughter.

"Are you sure mommy?" Carina and I stared at each other meaningfully and then she nodded her head to me, giving me the go signal.

"Princess, we have something to tell you" I began and she looked at me questioningly. Her little eye brows knitted adorably.

"What is it daddy, mommy?"

"You're going to be a big sister" I announced happily but she looked like she didn't get it.

"Baby, mommy is pregnant. You're going to have a younger sister or brother" Carina explained and Scarlet shifted her gaze to her mother.

"You're going to have another baby mommy? I am not your baby anymore?" She asked with a worried and confused expression. Carina reached for her and made her sat on her lap.

"You are forever my baby but you will be having a younger sibling so you both are my babies now. Aren't you happy? Don't you want to have a younger sister or brother?" She asked tenderly as she brushed her hair with her fingers. When it comes to our daughter, I have never heard her raised her voice to her. She is always understanding and caring. She always manages to explain things to Scarlet with a gentle tone.

"You look happy so I am also happy mommy" She answered her mom like an adult while beaming which made Carina teary eyed. She kissed Scarlet's forehead adoringly.

"Thank you baby" Scarlet giggled happily and I felt relieved. I thought she wasn't going to be happy about it but I guessed not.
