Sixth Gym Badge
(Quick note, I'm so sorry I took so long to update. I've been busy with a lot of personal stuff lately. But anyway, I'm gonna try to finally finish this book. I hope you enjoy this next part. It's kinda wild)
Hah, that was a nice battle. Nice to have one that isn't stressful and life-threatening. Maybe things will calm down for awhile-
*BOOM*
Oh what the hell?!
Barry rushes to me, and takes me to the entrance of the Safari Zone, where a Team Galactic grunt rushes out. Turns out he set off a bomb in the Safari Zone. He tries to make a run for it, but I chase him down all the way to Lake Valor and beat up his Sableye because he is weak. After that, Cynthia finds me, and tells me to bring this charm to her grandmother in Celestic City. I really don't care to....but fine, I'll do it.
I go north up route 210, fighting more trainers along the way. My team continues to get stronger, and it makes me happy. I have a good team I can fight with. There isn't much I'm worried about now. Eventually, there's this one old man that challenges us. Krone is fighting him with ease till we got to his last Pokemon, Vileplume. I decide to let Buffy take care of him, since he's a Psychic type against a Poison type. Plus, he's only one level away from evolving. If he wins, we get a Medicham.
....but what happens instead?
Buffy gets killed by a critical hit Mega Drain.
After so many close calls, after all the tough battles he got us through, after everything we'd been through together....our tough soldier was gone.
This was the first death that actual hurt.
We destroy the Vileplume and finish the stupid battle. We depressingly stroll into Celestic City and head straight to the Pokemon center. I look through the PC to see who I should replace Buffy with, but everything I had was so low leveled. I was super upset. However, in this small town, that shouldn't be called a city, there were small ponds around. So what do I do? I say screw it, and try doing some fishing. Did I expect anything cool? No. Especially since I was using my Old Rod.
But suddenly....something tugged at my fishing rod, and flew out of the pond.
At first, it was only a black blur.....but then I was face to face with the legend of nightmares, Darkrai.
I literally held my breath and just stared. He was here. I couldn't believe it. He's only level 5, probably because I used the Old Rod. However, I had a lot of Great Balls, and his lower level will make it easier to catch him. I was uneasy about this, but to my surprise, he joined our team with little struggle. We name him Trahearne and welcome him to the team.
After that, we found Celestia's Grandma in the cave at Celestic City, and she tells about the legendary Pokemon. However, Cyrus interrupts us, with his whole speech of how the world isn't perfect, everything is awful, he'll do his evil plan....and I just don't care.
While fighting me, the randomizer causes him to have Fire type Pokemon. However, Kingdra wipes out the Chimchar, Rapidash, and Arcanine with ease. After that whole ordeal is done, I go to Canalave City and had a battle with Berry.
Again, Kingdra was able to reign supreme because he had a whole team of Rock types this time, except for his Nidoking. I was happy I won, but I was also getting worried about Asgore. Since he wasn't fully evolved, he was proving to be harder and harder to use in battle, since he has lower defense. I was getting more and more concerned that I wouldn't find a Moon Stone in this randomized version.
Nonetheless we go to Iron Island, caught a Glameow, and met Riley. Riley fights with us through the cave with his Steelix, but because he was a freaking idiot, he kept dying constantly, so I had to do most of the Double Battles myself. I had at least 3 close calls with my Pokemon. I'm honestly shocked nobody on the team died.
Thanks Riley. You're useless.
By the end of the cave, he gives me an egg, I hatch it, kinda sad to see a small Pichu inside. Whatever, I guess its something. After that whole ordeal, I do some crazy grinding for our team, getting them all to high levels. I even did some mining, and was very lucky to have found a Moon Stone. Which meant I could finally evolve Asgore into a might Nidoking. Nice.
After all that, and I felt confident we were ready, we went into the gym. It ended up randomizing into a Water type gym, so that meant I couldn't use Asgore or Cassandra unless I absolutely needed to. In any case, time to face Byron.
He starts off with a Seaking, which gives Shadow some trouble cause of confusion, but she eventually takes it out. Next was a tiny Mudkip, who Shadow also took out with ease. And finally he brought out a Crawdaunt. I switched out to Kingdra, who I thought would handle his attackes the best. After a bit of work, the Crawdaunt was down. And we did it.
We won our sixth gym badge: the Mine badge
