After another very stressful gym battle, I go to Route 209 to train and get a new Pokemon. We run into a Masquerain, which was okay I guess. For now, it goes in the box. Soon we make it to a mysterious tower, which basically seemed like a place for trainers to put their Pokemon to rest after they've passed away. To my surprise, I find a Banette in there, and I catch it, naming it Puppet.

We soon make it to Solaceon City, which basically seems like an old west town to relax for awhile. Turns out that's where the Day Care is. I thought about leaving one of my Pokemon there for awhile, but decide not to. We pass through the town and continue to Route 210. There was a restaurant there, where I could do lots of Double Battles. I took the chance to train up my team a bit. We had a couple close calls, including Buffy almost dying again to a critical hit, but we manage to get through without any casualties. We even manage to find a Cleffable and catch it. 

When we got to Route 215, we went into some more grass, I couldn't believe what I found! A Charmeleon! Awesome! Now I can have one of the most powerful fire types in all of Pokemon history! Charmeleon, how would you like to join our team-

Dammit, Buffy! You had to get a critical hit with Rock Smash?! 

Ugh....whatever.

Before going into the next town, I definitely made sure to grind up my team until I thought the were ready. I cannot lose anyone this time. Once we got inside Veilstone City, I found a guy who was giving away a Pokemon. Seems like this Pokemon was captured by Team Galactic, and somehow managed to get away. He asks if I can take care of it, and I happily accept. To my surprise, it turned out to be a Drifblim. I was glad, because it was at a good level, and I liked the idea of having a Ghost/Flying type. I decided to name her Krone.

After restocking on some items and making sure my team was leveled up, we nervously head into the gym. Turns out, Maylene was using Flying type Pokemon. That wouldn't be so bad, especially since I had Cassandra. So we start the battle.

Maylene first brings out a Honchkrow, which after a few annoying Swagger moves, Cassandra takes it down with Ancient Power. Then Maylene sends out a Ledian. For some reason, I was nervous that it knew a Grass type move, so I decided to let Krone have her chance to shine. Turned out to be a good idea, cause not only did she tank Silver Dust pretty well, but she took out the Ledian with a few Gusts. Finally, I bring back Cassandra for Maylene's last Pokemon....Dragonite. 

Not what I was expecting, but I think we can take it. Unfortunately, it knew Dragon Rage, meaning it took out a good chunk of HP each turn. However, with some healing potions and using Ancient Power a couple times, Cassandra takes the Dragonite down.

We had gotten our fourth gym badge: the Cobble Badge.
