Remember that night we jumped the fence, our adventurous souls not able to contain themselves any longer? You told me that my eyes were a better view than the stars. I don't believe you to this day. We ran through the city streets, breathless but full of adrenaline. We made it to a forest that we would soon call home. We sat in the dirt, looking at all that was beautiful and good within the confinement of the forest. Our bodies silhouetted against each other, I knew that we were enough and that I didn't need drugs; I only needed you.

I looked at the pine needles on the trees and told you that they resembled the shade of your evergreen eyes. I went to sleep that night with your eyes and your touch locked in my head.

The city limits had no power over us. Most people said that we were just kids in love and maybe we were. But why is that a bad thing? We loved and we lived and I suppose we were just kids but it didn't feel like it. With you, the world did not seem to exist. We were infinite.
