"I am nothing great," I say. "There are a million girls who write poetry until 2 am, who are shattered like the bottles littering her floor, with the clutter of her thoughts suffocating her. I am no different than them. There are a million girls who grow up broke as hell but only need a pen and paper to survive, a million girls who don't need lungs to breathe so long as art exists and I believe it will. There are a million girls who sing along to Halsey songs and just happen to have a lover 1,578.5 miles away. There are a million girls like me."

"They aren't you. They don't think like you do. They don't write like you do." you reply.
