WHAT IF YOU COULD LIVE FOR AN ETERNITY?

What if you could live for an eternity?
Would you see it as a curse or a blessing?
Would you be happy to remain on this earth?
Would you get tired of seeing your loved ones pass away every time, with each death, a reminder of your own immortality?

What if you could live for an eternity?
Would you change your name and appearance as time goes by?
Would you enjoy witnessing every passing generation?
Would you keep lying to people about your existence?
Would you still claim to be mortal?

What if you could live for an eternity?
Would countless years make you lose your humanity or sanity?
Would you even have an indefinite goal in life?
Would you just keep living, or would you strive for numerous ambitions?
Would you climb the ladder of history?

What if you could live for an eternity?
Would you still have the fear of God?
Would you feel superior to the world?
Would you still question the world or will try to change the world?
Would you be consumed by vanity?

What if you could live for an eternity?
This is a question meant to be pondered.
Is it mortality that triggers one's good nature?
Or is it inborn?
Or perhaps it is born with time?
Could immortality be able to kill it over time?

Those thoughts flowed through my mind like a river,
Forcing my mind to pour it all out with my pen,
Soaking my paper with countless questions;
Questions that will also flow through others' minds,
wetting their consciousness,
And sparking an awakening to ponder on them.
