LONGING FOR THOU

I'm engulfed by anguish as I fill my glass with tears.
Never did I know, I will someday meet what my heart greatly fears.
The pain of losing what the heart firmly holds is so hard to bear.
People like me being cheerful but I can't put on the face they want me to wear.

Aw, it's so sad and disheartening that thou left so soon.
I never expected thou to leave me in this world and go to the land beyond.
Because of that, every night before sleeping, I gaze at the moon.
Sometimes, I find myself awake as I start pondering at night's noon.

Oh! How I wish thou could come back to me like a phoenix.
I know wishes aren't horses but thou I still miss.
A part of me is gone and it can never be retrieved.
Unfortunately, it's impossible to meet the deceased.

Though, I can no longer see thou.
I believe we will meet someday.
Probably, in the afterlife.
Till then, I will try to break this torturous Ice.
