Third Person's POV

Kakashi stood in front Sakura, ready to protect her as she hold her head down.

"Sakura!" He called out.

She gasp at his harsh tone as she looked at him.

"It was worth teaching you Genjutsu in survival training during the Genin Exam." Kakashi said with his back to her. "You truly have a talent for it."

"Huh?" Sakura was confused to why he brought it up but inside she had a smurk.

"And Nikkinas well." Kakashi added causing an imaginary rock to drop down onto Sakura's head with Nikki's name on it.

"Release the Genjutsu and wake up Naruto and Shikamaru!" He order her as he watch Leaf and Sound Shinobis fighting.

"Naruto will be delighted. He'll be getting a mission after such a long while." Kakashi proclaimed.

"What do you mean by a mission?" Sakura asked confused.

"Be carefull... It's the first A-Ranked Mission since the Land of the Waves." He told her, just as an Sound Shinobi appeared and about to attack him, however Kakashi was quick and stabbed the ninja before flipping him over.

Sakura let out a scream while moving aside to avoid the dead Sound shinobi.

"Sensei! What do you mean by A-Ranked mission in the condition we are in?! What do we have to do?!" Sakura question.

"Sasuke is chasing Gaara and company of the Sand Village while trying to save Nikki before their can use her power." Kakashi told her causing her to gasp.

"Sakura..." Kakashi held a kunai knife to his thump. "Release the Genjutsu on Naruto and Shikamaru,  and go after Sasuke." He cut himself.

I feel uneasy...about that unusual Chakra. Kakashi though as he remember the monster like hand from earlier.

"But then, we should wake up Ino and Choji and go in a large group." Sakura suggested, thinking it would be better.

"There many already be quite a large number of Sand and Sound Shinobis who have infiltrated this Village." Kakashi denied her suggestion. "Actions lose quickness when there's more than the fundamental four in a squad...and it becomes difficult to hide from the enemy." He looked around, seeing the Sand and Sound Shinobis.

"You learned that in the Academy's patrol practical training, right?" Kakashi told Sakura causing her to gasp as she realized where he was going with this.

"Oh, I see! Then four means that you'll come with us..." Sakura said but Kakashi interrupted her.

"No, I must not leave here." He told her. "Summoning Jutsu!"

Sakura looked surprised that Kakashi had used the summoning jutsu to summon a little dog.

"As for the rest, this Pakkun will track down Sasuke and Nikki by scent!" Kakashi told Sakura.

"C-Could it be...the one other member is this puppy?!" Sakura asked, pointing at Pakkun in disbelieve.

Pakkun came closer to Sakura and get into her face causing her eyes to widened in shock.

"Hey! Little girl! Don't you be calling me a cute puppy!" Pakkun exclaimed.

I didn't say...cute. Sakura though unsure about this.

"Okay, Sakura! Release the Genjutsu onbNaruto and Shikamaru!" Kakashi order.

"Okay!" Sakura nodded and start crawling over to Naruto and Shikamaru with Pakkun following her.

Once Sakura was sure that it was safe, she kneeling next to Naruto.

Release! Sakura gently tapped Naruto's back, releasing him from the Genjutsu as he started to wake up.

"What is it... Sakura?" Naruto question her as he sit up, rubbing his eyes, sleepy.

Sakura smile a litttle at Naruto before gasping. "Get down!" She exclaimed, pulling him down, avoiding a knuai knives that came their way.

"I'll tell you later! Jutsu stay down!" Sakura proclaimed before going over to Shikamaru.

She stared at him for a moment before she notice Shikamaru's eyebrown twitching.

"Shikamaru...you were...from the beginning..." Sakura exclaimed deadpanned.

Pakkun walk over to Shikamaru's leg before biting it.

"Owwee!" Shikamaru exclaimed in pain as he shaking around his leg that Pakkun was biting.

"You were able to release Genjutsu too!" Sakura said angrily as she pointed at him. "Why were you pretending to be asleep?!" She question him, not happy with him at all.

As their were in a serious situation.

Shikamaru was finally able to get Pakkun to let go. "Humph! I don't want to end up getting involved!" He was playing with Pakkun's mouth.

"Heck no... I could careless about Sasuke! Nikki however is another story."

He was interrupted by Pakkun as he had enough with Shikamaru pulling his face and bite his hand.

"Owwee!"

Naruto was fully awake and look around to see the audiences was asleep while Konoha shinobis was fighting against Sound and Sand shinobis.

"W-What's going on...?" He wondering confused with what was happening.

"Naruto! Behind you!" Sakura shout out as a Sound shinobi appeared behind him, about to kill him.

Suddenly Guy came and and safe Naruto as he slamed the Sound ninja into a wall causing a cloud of dust on a giant crack undeneath the Sound ninja.

"F-Fast..." The Sound ninja groan.

"Not just fast..." Guy said as he put more power into his hand as he push the Sound ninja through the wall.

"Guy-sensei!" Sakura said shock.

Then Kakashi appeared next to him. "Now, I'll announce the mussion! As soon as you've heard what the mission is, go through that hole." He explain before telling them the mission. "Track down Sasuke, join up and then stop him! Then find a way to rescue Nikki without engaging into combat! Then await next orders in a safe place."

"Huh? Did something happen to Sasuke and Nikki?!" Naruto asked.

Sakura crawling over to him. "I'll tell you the reason enroute!" She told him before dragging him with her as she went through the hole.

"Jeez... Why me?" Shikamaru wondered.

"Hey, boy!" Pakkun called out.

"Huh...?" Shikamaru turn to the dog.

"If this mission is a success, as a reward I'll let you touch my paw-pads. So don't sulk like that!" Pakkun told him.

"Huh?" Shikamaru was confused.

"See?" Pakkun hold up his paw to show him. "They're soft and supple!"

"Su...pple...?" Shikamaru question.

"Yes, very... Soft and Supple!" Pakkun proclaimed dramatly before letting it go and pull Shikamaru's hand closer to him. "Let's just go!" He said and bite his hand, pulling Shikamaru with him to follow Sakura and Naruto.

"H-hey!"

Sasuke's POV

I was running through a forest, tracking down Gaara and Nikki.

However I spot something on the ground causing me to stop and kneel down, grabbing some of the dirt before tilting my hand slightly revealing sand.

This cause me to smirk before start running again before jumping up to a tree branch.

I was able to catch up the Gaara and his team, keeping my eyes on Nikki's unconscious figure.

Nikki... I though worried.

"Tch!" I gæared at Kankuro's back.

"Hurry!" Temari proclaimed.

I pick up my pace as I was getting closer to them.

"Kankuro! Pick up the pace!" Temari told him.

"Okay."

I won't let you get away. I though going fastest.
