I notice how Kankuro and the four pigtail girl, looking scared and nervous with Gaara's present which makes me wonder why.

"You're a disgrace to our village. Why do you think we came all the way here to Konoha?" Gaara said blankly.

"Listen, Gaara, these guys started it." Kankuro try to explain.

"Shut up." Kankuro gulp in fear as Gaara glares at him. "I'll kill you." He threaten Kankuro.

"I was at fault. I'm sorry. I'm really sorry." Kankuro quickly apologized, nervously.

"Excuse them, you guys." Gaara said, looking at Sasuke as their had a star off for a moment before Gaara turning to sand and appeared in front of his teammate. "Let's go. We didn't come here to fool around." He ordered.

"I know." Kankuro agreed as their start leaving.

"Wait up." Sakura called out causing them to stop.

"What is it?" The four pigtail girl asked as their didn't turn around.

"Judging from your forehead protectors, you are ninja's from the Hidden Village of the Sand, right?" Sakura asked. "The Country of Fire and the Country of the Wind have an alliance, but a treaty prevents ninja from entering each other's countries without permission. State your purpose. According to your reasons, I will..." She said as ready to grab a kunai.

The four pigtail girl huff. "What you're looking for is closer to you than you think. You don't know anything? This is a traffic pass. As you guessed, we're Genins of Wind. We came to this village to take the Chūnin selection exam." She explain to us and even show her pass.

"Chūnin selection exam?" Naruto question confused. "What's a Chūnin selection exam?" He asked.

"You all ready must not know." The four pigtail girl mocked.

"Naruto, you can advance from a Genin to a Chūnin if you pass the exam." Konohamaru answer Naruto's question.

"Really? Then I should take it, too." Naruto said excited.

Sasuke jump down from the tree to stand next to me. "Hey you there. What's your name?" He called out.

The four pigtail girl stop and turn to us. "Me?" She asked blushing.

"No, the one next to you with the gourd." Sasuke said blankly with pointing toward Gaara.

"Gaara of the Desert." He introduce with no emotion.

"I am also interested in you. What's your name?" He asked.

"Sasuke Uchiha." He answer.

"And her?" Gaara asked, looking at me.

Sasuke glares at him, threateningly. "That's none of your business." He said in a dark tone that scream danger as their stared at each other.

"Hey, hey, what about me?" Naruto asked, breaking the tensity.

"I'm not interested." Gaara said blankly before him and his team left.

I suddenly sense, we were beinging watch causing me to look where it was coming from and I saw three ninja with a music note on their forehead protector before their disappeared.

The next day, we were waiting for Kakashi-sensei at a bridge. I was sitting on the railing next to Sasuke, who was laying against it.

Suddenly Sakura snapped. "Hey, hey, hey! Why does that person always make us wait when he's the one who called us up?" She question irritatedly.

"Yeah, yeah!" Naruto agreed with her.

"How is he going to compensate a girl who woke up late and had to give blow drying her hair?" Sakura said angrily.

"I woke up late, so I couldn't wash my face or brush my teeth!" Naruto said causing me to look at him in disgusted.

Sakura look at him in disgusted as well. "How dirty..."

I ran my fingers through Sasuke's hair in boredom from the wait until Kakashi-sensei finally. "Hello, gentlemen. I got lost in the path known as life today..." I sweat drop at sensei's lying.

"A lie!" Naruto and Sakura called out at him.

"What is the meeting about, Sensei?" I asked him curiously.

"I'll get to the point. I recommended all of you to the Chūnin selection exam, so..." Kakashi-sensei explain. "Here, take these applications." He held out the applications to us.

"Chūnin Exam?" Sakura question confused.

However, the recommendation does not force you to take it. You can decide if you want to take it or not." Kakashi-sensei told us.

"Yes! I love you, Kakashi-sensei!" Naruto cheered, jumped at sensei to shut around his neck to spin around for a moment.

"Cut it out, get off me." Sensei told him as he let go and take an applications, and... Five days after that get to school by 3PM and go to room 301. That is all." Kakashi-sensei instruct us.

I was reading through the application as we were dismissed with Sasuke's arms wrapped around my shoulders, making sure that don't bump into something while walking me home.

"Hey Nikki can I have dinner at your place today later on." Naruto asked me.

I look over at him. "Sure I don't mind." I told him while smiling, not noticing Sasuke glance at him in jealousy.

"I will be eating at your place too." Sasuke said while pulling me closer to him, making me looked at him confused.

"Why did you invite yourself!" Naruto complain. "She may be your girlfriend but she's my friend as well." He waving his fist at Sasuke in annoying.

"There's the answer, she my girlfriend." Sasuke simply said, not really paying any attention to him as he was rubbing his nose against my cheek.

"I-I would like to join too." Sakura said with a fake smile while her left eyebrow was twitching irritated by how affection Sasuke was to me.

I sweat drop. "Sure, why not. It will be fun." I agreed before looking over at Kakashi-sensei. "Would you like to join us, Sensei." I asked him.

"Hmm... Sure, why not." Kakashi-sensei answer with a close eye smile.

Throughout the rest of the day we all went to do our own things before dinner time.

I spent my day training and shopping for ingredients
For the food, I'll be cooking tonight.

As I was at home, cooking and setting the table at the same time when suddenly my door bell ring.

I when over and open it to see Naruto, Sakura, Sasuke and Kakashi-sensei. "Hey guys! Welcome!" I greeted. "Please come in. I almost done with the food." I let them in.

"You have a nice place, Nikki." Kakashi-sensei comment while looking around as I when back into kitchen.

"Thanks!" I replied from the kitchen when Sasuke since he was going to help me carry the food out.

Sakura huff. "It's nice but mine house is a lot better." She bragged.

"How would we know, we haven't seeing your place." Sasuke said, annoyed as we came with the rest of the food.

Sakura flinch at his tone and looked down in embarrassment.

"Wow!" Naruto's eyes had stars in them when he saw the foods. "This looks amazing, believe it!" He exclaimed drooling.

"I have to agree... It's all looking delicious, good job Nikki." Kakashi-sensei praised me causing me to smile.

"Of course, Nikki is an amazing cook after all." Sasuke said, proudly as he kiss my temple.

Sakura looked at the foods with a frown feeling jealous of all the praise I was receiving. "It's okay, I guess." She whispered.

"Well, let eat." I said as we all took a seat.

"Itadakimasu!" We all said as we begin to eat.

Finally the day of the Chūnin Exam has arrived and me, Sasuke and Naruto was out of the academy, waiting for Sakura, since she was running late.

"Sakura! You're late." Naruto called out when she finally arrived.

"Sorry..." She apologized before turning to Sasuke. "Good morning, Sasuke." She greeted causing both me and Sasuke to exchange looks.

Something happen to her. I thought as we entered the academy when holding my chin while watch her back. Huh?... What going on? I wondered as there was a large crowd in front of us.

I gasp when I saw a guy in a green bodysuit get punched.

"You're trying to take the Chūnin Exam with that kind of level?" Two guy stood in front of a classroom which was cast a genjutsu on to.

"Maybe you should quit, kids." I could also tell that their had a genjutsu put on themselves.

"You're still just kids *sniff*" Their were mocking everyone.

"Please, let us through." A girl, who was probably his teammate, was punch down as while when trying to enter the classroom too.

"How cruel." Someone comment as everyone start to whispered.

"What did you say? Listen up, we're being kind to you. The Chūnin Exam is extremely difficult." The one with a running nose told us.

"We have seen those who gave up on becoming a ninja or becoming seriously injured taking this exam." The other one said next.

"I didn't think it's any of your business if we take the exam." I speak up causing everyone to turn to me and my team as we walk up.

"What?" Their glance at me as I stood tall with my arms cross over my chest.

"You don't know how dangerous the Chūnin Exam is for a girl like you." One of them mock causing Sasuke to glare and take a step forward but stop when I put a hand on his arm.

"Well it's a good thing that I won't listen to it." I said, rolling my eyes which angrier them. "Beside you don't know what I'm capable off, what any of us is capable off." This encourage everyone and give them confident.

But before they could do anything, Sasuke step in front of me. "That's enough but I will pass." Sasuke said, glaring at them with scowl. "And undo this field you're created using an genjutsu. I want to go to the third floor."

"What's that guy talking about."

"I don't know." I heard some whispered.

"Oh."

"You noticed?" The guy with the headband as a beanie said.

"Sakura, how about you? You should've noticed." I looked at Sasuke surprised. "Your analysation skills and genjutsu know-how is the best is our squad." I smile at him proudly when I realized that he was helping her build confident.

"His right you know." I said, smiling at her.

"Sasuke... Thank you." I sweat drop as she had ignored me. "Of course, I've noticed it already. Because, this is the 2nd floor." She said as the genjutsu was released while Naruto nodded in agreement.

"Hm... You're pretty good. But just being able to detect isn't enough..." I gasp as the guy with the running noise launch a kick at Sasuke but he saw it too and throw a kick as well.

But a green blur, rush in between them and caught their legs. He's fast. I thought in amazed as I went over to Sasuke.

"Hey, you broke the promise." The guy in green bodysuits teammate said as their walk to him. "You're the one who didn't want to gather attention by doing something that stands out."

"But..." The green suit guy look over at Sakura.

"She must be why..." The girl member said shaking head in disappointment.

"My name is Rock Lee." He introduce himself as he walk over to Sakura. "You are Sakura, right?" He asked her while her while I watch curiously.

"What?" Sakura blink deadpanned.

"Let's go out together! I will protect you until I die!" I cover my mouth in shock at how straight forward he was as he smile at her with his teeth sparkle a small glint.

"No way..." Sakura replied without any hesitation.

"What?" Lee look at deadpan.

"You're too 'unique' for my tastes." She told him bluntly Sakura was. "That was so harsh, Sakura." I said to her as she just huff and turn her head away from me.

"Hey, you there." I turn to see Lee's teammate walking over to me and Sasuke, it was a guy with long hair. "identify yourself." He said causing me to suddenly feel deja vu.

"You're supposed to identify yourself before you ask." Sasuke told, uncaring.

"You're a rookie, aren't you? How old are you?" He question Sasuke as I notice the girl behind him looking at Sasuke with a blush causing me to frown as I felt a little jealous and wrapped my arms around his which he chuckle quietly in amusement.

"I'm not obligated to answer that." Sasuke said, not really caring.

"What?" He looks angry at Sasuke responded.

Sasuke look at him blankly. "Sasuke, let's go now." I said, gently pulling his arm, slightly.

He looked at me and nodded. "Alright." He agreed and we left with Sakura dragging a depressed Naruto behind us.
