We were on a new mission to return to Konoha.

"No matter how I look at that expression, I get the feeling he's gonna eat me alive." Naruto said looking away from the ostrich as we were walking through a rocky path.

I giggle a little as I was walking next to Sasuke while holding hands.

"No way, don't you think he looks adorable?" Sakura asked him but then turn gloomy when she saw Sasuke kiss the back of my hand causing me to sweat drop at how she is still not over my relationship with Sasuke.

"Anyway, you're the one that lost at rock-paper-scissors, so you're the designated ostrich-sitter." Sakura said when she snap out of her gloomy stage.

Kakashi-sensei laugh a little. "It's fine, it's fine! They make an unexpectedly well-matched couple." He joked as the ostrich start to peck the back of Naruto's head causing him to tell out in pain each time.

"Well-matched my ass!" Naruto complain.

I sigh and let go of Sasuke's hand and went over to Naruto, taking the rope that was attach to the ostrich's neck. "I'll take care of the ostrich then, Naruto." I said.

"Really!" Naruto asked hopefully as I smile and nodded assuring him causing him to cheer.

The ostrich look at me for a moment before it nuzzle it's beak against my cheek causing me to giggle as it slide it's head in-between my legs which causing me to end up riding on it's back instead.

I laugh at Naruto's shocking expression before we continue to walk.

"We start out with a lost cat, then a lost dog and pig. So the ultimate lost anime is an ostrich? It's great that the scale is increasing and all, but these worthless mission don't improve our skills." Sasuke said in annoyments.

"Missions, huh?" Kakashi-sensei said. "They're not for improving your skills. It's quite different from training, you know." I look at him confused.

Suddenly Naruto took the rope from me while I was still riding the ostrich and shoved it in to Sasuke's hands.

"In that case, you can increase your skills by using this ostrich as your opponent!" Naruto told Sasuke cheerfully.

"What are you trying to pull?!" Sasuke asked annoyed while shoved the back to Naruto.

"Improve your skill already!" Naruto lied, shoved it to Sasuke again.

"You can..." Their argument was interrupted by the ostrich, who peck their heads causing them to run away but still argue with each other while running with the ostrich following them while pecking them. I sweat drop since I was still on it's back.

We arrived at an old looking town. "Let's find a lodging here for today. Even our mighty ostrich is looking tired." Kakashi-sensei told us as I nodded in agreement while patting the ostrich's head.

"Geez... If it had just been us, we could've reached the village by evening." Sakura said to them while I giggle softly at them causing Sasuke to playfully glares at me.

Suddenly I notice a crowed in front of us. "Huh? That's...I'm going have a look!" Naruto said as he too notice the crowd.

And let go of the rope and run toward it, excitedly.

"Naruto, you...!" Sasuke called out but was interrupted by a peck on his head from the ostrich.

Causing him to quickly grab the rope and move the ostrich over to a nearby rail and tied it up.

"Let's check it out." Kakashi-sensei said also running toward it.

"I wonder what it is..." Sakura wondered while following as well.

"Not you too?!" Sasuke exclaimed as he help me down before grabbing my hand and we run after them.

"Scuse me." Naruto said as he squeeze through the crowed to stand in the front. "A fight?" He wondered confused.

"Not quite. It looks likes out for vengeance." Kakashi-sensei told him.

"Vengeance?" Naruto question , confused.

"Doesn't vengeance mean to settle your grudge against someone?" Sakura asked as I look at Sasuke, who had a thoughtful expression.

I look at him worried before laying against him while resting my hand on his chest, where his heart is at causing him to look down to me. "You will get your revenge, Sasuke." I whispered to him as his eyes soften and wrapped his arms around my shoulder while we turn back to the vengeance.

"Is it really okay to do this in the streets in broad daylight, Kakashi-sensei?" Sakura asked him.

"Hm...'Vengeance Permission', huh? When someone is killed, depending on the country, the bereaved family can get permission to seek vengeance. As long as you have that permit, it's also allowed to settle the score in another country." Kakashi-sensei explain to us.

"Seems that old Tsukado guy had a distant relative." A guy from Kakashi-sensei's left side whispered to him.

"That relative was called out at night by the killer. He was killed from behind with a huge rock. Absolutely horrible. It's an atrocious story." Another guy add from Kakashi-sensei's right side.

"They say the killer fled, and now the family seeks vengeance. Seems that oldie was chosen by his clan." I heard someone from the crowed say.

"What a piece of shite!" Naruto said causing me to send him a glares.

Which he shivers under and laugh nervously, this made Sasuke chuckle, amused and kissed my temple.

"There he goes!" Naruto exclaimed and the guy in white let out a weird battle cried and launch toward his opponent who was another guy wearing a small ponytail.

"Oh on!" Sakura said with her eyes closed.

I blink when I saw the scene in front of me. The guy in white had his sword laying back to much causing him to skip backwards and forwards as his sword slam into the ground while the other guy with the ponytail simply step aside. "What...?" Naruto exclaimed in shock.

I sweat drop at how sloppy, the guy in white was and yelp in surprised when his sword suddenly stabbed the ground at Naruto, who dodge it.

Naruto grab the sword when over to the guy in white. "Here." Naruto said, handle it to him since the fight was over.

"Ah, thanks." He said to Naruto, grabbing sword while running the back of his head. "I-I almost had him and all..." He added as he put his sword into it case.

"Yeah, except you didn't have him at all." Naruto said with his hands behind his head.

"Keep quiet, you amateur. Despite my appearance, I'm a veteran with thirty-four arts of vengeance on my belt." He told Naruto.

"You mean thirty-four failed vengeance's!" Naruto said in shock.

"But next time I'll get 'em!" The guy, Tsukado proclaimed while laugh as we had learn his name.

"In your dream." Naruto said dumbfound.

"I must exact this vengeance. I must avenge my clan's storehouse holder! A sneak attack, not to mention the cowardice of it! I will... I need to follow through with the resent I feel! I will...for sure!" Tsukado said as we watch him clenching his first.

"Old man..." Naruto called him.

"Calling me that...is a bit too much." Tsukado told him.

"Huh?" Naruto sweat drop.

"I won't know if I don't try! Next time I might fulfill the vengeance!" Tsukado exclaimed as I saw Naruto looking at him determinated.

"Yeah." Naruto nodded in agreement and turn his back. "I got it." He said in a deep tone.

"Huh?" Tsukado look at Naruto curiously.

"I'll help you out!" Naruto proclaimed, surprising Tsukado as Naruto turn to face him. "I'll utilize the Ninja skills and turn into a real vengeance pro!" Naruto told him, working at him while pointing at himself.

"Huh?" Tsukado said unsure with it.

"Stupid Naruto. Getting carried away like that..." Sakura said angry.

"Well, let's leave this to Naruto and go rest." Kakashi-sensei told us.

"Okay!" I said, happily agreeing.

"This is stupid." I heard Sasuke say as he took my hand and walk away, pulling me along with him.

I look around as I notice we were heading into an alleyway. "Huh?" Why are we heading in there, Sasuke?" I asked the yelp in surprise as I was suddenly push against a wall. "Sasuke?" I said, shocked until he slam his lips on to mine.

I blush at his suddenly action but slowly kiss back as I close my eyes and melt into Sasuke's arms as their wrapped around my waist, pulling me closer while I wrapped mine around his neck.

He gently caress my cheek as he deepest the kiss, turning it into a heated make-out before we slowly parted and stared into each other eyes with love shining brightly in them.

I smile at Sasuke as he pull me to a hug, nuzzle his cheek against my hair. "I love you, Nikki." He whispered into my ear.

"I love you too, Sasuke." I whispered back, nuzzle my cheek against his shoulder.

As we let go of each other and walk out of the alleyway with me holding his arm.

As we talk around until we found a place to eat.

As we took a sit and place our order. As we waited, I looked outside to see Tsukado and sweat drop when I saw him carting an old lady on his back with angry tone.

I sigh and shake my head as our food came finally arrived.

Throughout the day, Sasuke and I spent it together as our first date.

As the sun was setting we went to the inn we were staying at when I saw Kakashi-sensei, Sakura walking out of the inn.

"Oh, Sasuke! Where have you been all day. I have been looking for you and thought we could maybe go on a date." Sakura said, trying to act cute.

"Hn, I was on a date with my girlfriend." Sasuke said and glare at her while rest his arm on my shoulder with a kiss to my temple as Sakura drop her head in depression.

I look at where we left the ostrich's only to see it's gone. "Kakashi-sensei! The orstrich is gone!" I called out paincking.

Kakashi-sensei look at the spot where the orstrich was. "It's must have chew on it's leash." He told us, examine the rope.

"VIOLENT OSTRICH ON THE LOOSE!" We heard someone yelled out causing us to run toward it.

When we arrived we saw Tsukado with our ostrich, rubbing it gently under it's beak.

"Sorry! The orstrich managed to bite through the leash." Kakashi-sensei said once we came.

"I knew it. You-really are a master swordman after all." Kakashi-sensei added as he look at Tsukado, surprising all of us.

"What's the supposed to mean? If you're that strong, how came you can't get your vengeance?" Naruto asked Tsukado with his hands behind his head.

"I don't know. Whenever I look into my enemy's eyes, it's like my powers are disappearing." He told us as he clenches his grip on his sword tighten.

We all look at Tsukado and I was getting worried a little bit. "Old man." I heard Naruto said quietly.

The next day, early in the morning. "I wonder what happened to that old..." I heard Naruto as I walk over to him with some food for the ostrich.

"He probably went to chase after his enemy again." Kakashi-sensei answer him as I handle it's good which the ostrich happily eat.

"Will he go on like that forever?" Sakura question.

I look over to Sasuke to see a big crowd. "That's...!" Naruto said as he run next to Sasuke when he notice the crowd too.

We run up to the crowd. "What do you think Mr. Vengeance? My heart was struck by your feelings. We thought we'd give you a chance to settle your grudge, so we're brought this guy to ya. So why not go and get your vengeance to your hearts content, huh?!" A hairy man said, who was standing next to Tsukado's enemy with a group of men behind them.

"Old man..." Naruto mumble as we watch Tsukado clenching his sword.

"Not to mention, this vengeance is being managed by the house of Kanabun! What do you say people?" The hairy man said as I saw his men start calling out bets which made me give them a disappointing look.

"So cruel... Making money on that old man's vengeance." Naruto said angrily.

"This is the end." Tsukado said to his opponent.

"I can't afford to get killed." His opponent replied. "Come!"

Their both took a fighting stand, holding their swords.

Huh? He's going to attack without looking at his opponent's eyes?! I thought surprised when I notice it as we watch them fight.

I watch as Tsukado fought better then the last fight. "This time, he might actually win." Kakashi-sensei said.

"Did Naruto's teachings really help?" Sakura said causing Naruto to clench his jaw as he watch the fight.

"I have a bad feeling about this fight. Why?" Naruto question causing me to look at him confused.

"Why do you mean Naruto?" I asked him curiously.

"It's that guy... Just like the old man said, his face... He's eye..." Naruto responded.

"Those eyes! Why are your eyes like that?! Even thought I might kill you!" Tsukado asked in a demanding way.

"Why isn't he trying to kill the old man?" Naruto question out loud to no one.

"Then..." Tsukado said, getting ready to attack before letting out a battle cried and launch toward his opponent and was about to stick.

"Wait!" Naruto exclaimed, jumping in between them both and block Tsukado's sword with his kunai.

"You know, deep in your heart, the reason why he can't kill you right?" Naruto told Tsukado as he look at his opponent sword.

Tsukado notice it and look at the sword while grabbing the blade. "Yeah... I just realized." Tsukado said.

"I see. The edge of the blade is dull." Kakashi-sensei said getting it.

"This guy can't kill anyone!" Naruto said causing the man to fall down to his knees.

"I...have a twin brother name Kageki." He told them.

"A twin brother?" Tsukado said curious.

"Kageki lent money to Shikazou of your clan. Then he had a child, in need of money, he went to request his money back. But Shikazou ignored my brother and tried to default on the loan. Eventually, they got into a struggle, and they both fall down on the dirt floor. Shikazou fell, hitting his head on a pickling stone before dying." The man explain.

"So, you're saying it was an accident?" Tsukado asked.

"Kageki said that he wanted to turn himself in. But there were no witnesses. Based on the situation, the would have been branded a murderer, so I offered to switch places with him." The man said to them.

"What?" Naruto asked surprised.

"I took my brother's identity, while he and his wife, who had just given birth, went into hiding. So I purposely stood out to attack the attention of the pursuers. I can't let a great guy like him waste his life like that. I have only been a nuisance and a scoundrel to both my family and the world around me. I figured this would be a good way of making amends. All of this is just what I was told by my brother. I have no proof to support it. But I trust him." He said with honesty.

Naruto look at Tsukado. "Old man..." He said.

"Whether you believe me or not is up to you. If you don't believe me, then... Kill me!" He said determineret.

Tsukado turn his back to him. "Then I'll believe in you as well." He said.

"You?!" "Old man!" Naruto and his opponent said at the same time in surprised.

"I'm sick and tired of all this vengeance anyway. Since you've been pretending to be my enemy all along, this time, I'll pretend to be out for vengeance." Tsukado said smiling at him, surprising him completely causing me to smile at the scene.

"I won't allow that!" The hairy man said as their were surround by his men. "I'll make sure you get your vengeance, no matter the cost! If not, you're in for a world of point!" He added.

Tsukado and his opponent stood back to back with their swords out and ready.

"I'll help you out!" Naruto said jumping in front of them with his kunai out and ready.

"We will too!" Sakura said as she and Kakashi-sensei, standing ready as well. "Allow us to assist you!" Kakashi-sensei insisted.

"There's no helping it. I wanna hurry back to the village and continue my training as well as take Nikki to a proper date." Sasuke said as he and I walk up to did others.

"It can be help Sasuke." I told him with a smile as I took out my own kunai ready.

He smile at me that no one notice. "We'll help out too." He said.

The hairy man gulp and I could see that he was a bit on edge.

Suddenly the ostrich came and attack the hairy man's men causing me to sweat drop at how easy it was for it to take them down. "Kill 'em!'" He order as all of his men came to us with swords out.

Me and Sasuke fought back to back, taking out the enemies easily.

"YOU'LL REGRET THIS!" I heard the hairy man yelled as we had sent him and his men running causing us to smile.

"I guess it turned out all right in the end. Right, Kakashi-sensei?" Naruto said.

"That's up to them to decide." Kakashi-sensei told us as we left the town.

"Revenge sure is harsh, huh?" Naruto comment.

"Hn. What would you know about that?" Sasuke said harshly, surprising Naruto. "Sometimes there's a type of revenge you have to carry out, no matter what." He added before pulling me with him away from Naruto and ahead of everyone causing me to look at him worried.

"But sometime the person looking for revenge needs a light or a bird to stand beside them." I whispered to him causing him to look at me and smile softly before kissing my forehead.
