Chapter 9

Yu Narukami and the Investigation Team watch in horror as the television outside of the love hotel fades into picture. On the screen is Sasha's shadow. She smiles at us mischievously and licks her lips. Then the TV flickers off again. The time to act is now.

They stare through the enormous double automatic doors that must've been shut off. Kanji helps open them by kicking through them.

Yu: That's one way to open a door.

Kanji smirks at Naoto. She is preoccupied, and doesn't notice. She has already gone inside the doors, avoiding the broken glass. This hotel looks similar to the one they stayed in during their visit to Tatsumi Port Island. They attempt to enter each room with caution, but all the doors to the rooms are locked. The glass doors suddenly fall over, causing Rise to jump. She clings to Yu's arm. 

They run deeper in. It's a maze of hallways and rooms that lead to nowhere. All of a sudden Rise stops in her tracks. 

Rise: I think I hear something. *gasp* Yu, there's a bunch of Shadows headed our way.

They turn around. Behind them are dozens of Shadows coming at them. They are about to overtake them to attack. 

Naoto: We've got this, you go on ahead. 

Yu: Thanks, I owe you one.

Naoto: *nod* Teddie, you ready?

Teddie: Bearsona! Rawr!!!

The remainder of the team runs on ahead. Yu looks back. He spots Teddie and Naoto amidst a bundle of Shadows. They are fighting hard, and both Personas are out. Yu turns back around and keeps running. 

They open a door that leads to a huge hall. This is no ordinary hall. In the middle of it lays Sasha's shadow. She's dressed in skimpy lingerie and is wearing enormous boots. She sits with a smirk on her face and a whip in her hand. Behind her are half a dozen people...They look like...Yu...They're surrounding her, touching her all over. They all have the golden eyes of a shadow. Their mouths are taped shut. Yu glares at Sasha's shadow. Her eyes are not the normal golden. One is blue, the other shining golden in the dim light.

Yu: Where's Sasha?!

Sasha's Shadow: Why, I don't know what you mean, Yu. I AM Sasha.

Yu: No, I mean the REAL Sasha.

Sasha's Shadow: Oh, I know what you mean. This is me, Yu.

Yu: No, it isn't-

She gets up quickly, and in half a second she's across the room with her hand around Yu's neck.

Sasha's Shadow: Fine. You want to see me? Here I am.

She snaps her fingers, and a trapdoor opens in the wall, revealing Sasha. Yu is taken aback. She's beautiful. He stares on in horror. She's dead, he thinks. She's covered in her own blood, her eyes closed. She is chained to the wall in her underwear and a torn shirt smeared with blood, dripping with sweat. He glares at her shadow, and takes a swipe at her with his sword. She dodges and retreats to the other side of the room. This will not be an easy fight. Then, she disappears. So does Sasha. Another noise alerts Yu. He looks up. Above him are dozens more Shadows, bigger and badder than the ones before. 

Yu: Guys! Look up!

Yosuke: Bro, we got this! Right, Chie, Yukiko?

Chie: Damn right we do!

Yu continues running, now completely alone except for Kanji. He looks over at Kanji, grateful to have him. 

Kanji: Dude. *huff* Where IS she going!? *huff*

They follow the enormous hallway to a set of doors, bigger than the entrance doors. Beyond these doors will be her shadow. The final fight would begin. 

**Sasha**

After an invigorating glass of champagne with Margaret, she explains why I'm here. 

Margaret: This is a time beyond time, and space. Beyond fantasy and reality. 

Me: Does this mean I'm dead? 

Margaret: Not yet. Only if you choose to die. Before you go, I'd like to explain to you how this works. You may be invited back here after you wake up. It depends on the Master's verdict. But, for now, I must bid you adieu. I must admit, I had fun. We should do this again sometime. 

She smiles, and my vision becomes blurry again. I'm awakened by a bright light. Hovering over me is the girl. I look up at her. She smirks, and continues what she was doing. I look over at my hands. They're bound to a chair. Then, we hear a thunderous noise outside door. We both look over at it. The bar on the door is cracking, and I hear the frantic yells outside. I pick up Yu's voice, and Kanji's as well. Then, I realize that I'm in the TV world. My mind becomes frantic. They're here to save me, just like they do in the game, I think joyously. 

Suddenly, the bar holding the door breaks in two, and the huge doors are opened. Behind them stand an angry and sweaty pair of Yu Narukami and Kanji Tatsumi. My heart suddenly skips a beat. 

Girl: Hello, again, Yu...

Yu: Sasha! Are you alright?

Me: Yes...I'm fine.

Yu: Good. 

Yu glares at the girl, and the girl holds her whip ready. The girl suddenly speaks. Her voice is distorted, and I can't tell who it is.

Girl: I'm so glad you arrived, Yu! You're going to save me! You're my savior! That's what this weak, pathetic little girl is thinking.

She sticks her thumb back at me. I grit my teeth. Yu clenches his jaw, and the girl continues talking.

Girl: Mmm...Yu...How I've always fantasized you existing. How I've always wished this day would come.

Girl: Isn't that right, other me...?

Me: Huh...?!

I remember now...! This is my shadow, and this THING will be my downfall. A bead of sweat runs down my collarbone and down my cleavage. My shadow continues talking.

Shadow Self: Mmm...I've always had picture of you, always dreamt about you...Always...

Yu makes a little noise in the back of his throat. My rage is starting to boil.

Shadow Self: You see, I've always been obsessed with you. In love, I guess you could say...

My shadow smirks at me. I wrench my wrists free, and try to get up. I collapse on the ground. My feet and legs are asleep.

Yu: Sasha! 

Shadow Self: I've always told my friends you were my one obsession, how I always wanted you to love me. I always got jealous when I heard about Ebihara dating you. 

I grit my teeth harder, trying to control myself. The screen behind her starts showing me and my old friends from middle school.

Younger Me: Man, I wish I could just fuck Yu right now. I mean, I already dream about it...

Old Friend: Isn't that sort of like masturbating...?

Younger Me: Who cares? It's an obsession...Not like it's real...Damn, I wish it was though...

Old Friend: *sigh* Jesus Fucking Christ, Sasha... 

The screen goes black. Yu looks away from the screen and at me. I look away. I can feel my cheeks getting hot. My eyes start to twitch. I'm about to scream.

Shadow Self: Oh, and don't forget about the fanfiction you wrote about him and you...About him...Doing it...With...You...

Yu's eyes widen. Kanji is backing up slowly, his eyes wide and fists clenched. I can tell he is very uncomfortable. My fists ball up in rage and my pupils dilate.

Me: SHUT UP! I'M NOT LIKE THAT! YOU DON'T KNOW ME!

Shadow Self: Bitch, I know you better than you know yourself! Because...I AM YOU!

Me: NO! YOU'RE NOTHING LIKE ME! I'M NOT THAT PERVERTED! YOU'RE NOT-

Yu & Kanji: NO! DON'T SAY IT!

Me: YOU'RE NOT ME!!!
