Meet Pisces

We got to a pretty modern looking bar and Ophiuchus gave me an unsure smile before pointing to a man hunched over sitting at the counter. "Oh dear I forgot this was a rest day for them," whispered Ophiuchus. "Rest day?" I asked. "Well no matter," he replied before putting a hand next to his mouth and continued, "Pisces! Your date is here." He called out and Pisces just put a hand in the air and waved; not bothering to look at us. "Go on and don't push them too much," Ophiuchus whispered hopeful. I nodded but hesitated. I slowly walkover.

I sat next to him at the counter as he finished another glass before sliding t down the bar for another. He looked at me with his bright blueish green eyes. Like moving water. He looked older than the rest of the Signs. Scruffy facial hair, beard, and his aqua colored hair was unkept and almost covered his eyes. He was completely different from the other gorgeous and handsome faces I got use to seeing. He look almost normal.

"Are you alright Sir," I asked concerned. He looked back back at his new drink. He didn't respond, just continued drinking and I got nervous for him. For what felt like an hour as I sat there sheepishly watching a man almost drink himself sober; till he deeply sighed and glanced at me.

"Go on order what you want," he said swirling his glass. His voice was gruff and a little harsh. "I'm fine but... are you ok, you seem tired," I asked worried. He stopped mid sip and put his glass down. Looking at me before pushing his drink to the side. "My apologizes. I shouldn't be taking this out on you, despite being my rest day. I've been playing meditator for a few of the other signs. I  just came back from a conference with Alexander and Terro. They were having some issues and Delmar convinced me to deal with it since I'm apparently sensitive to people's thoughts and feelings," he sighed. "Oh you must have it tough," I said sadly. "I just didn't get a chance to recharge with some alone time as often as I would like to. And it seems you caught me when my batteries are low," he looked almost sad before reaching for his glass, taking another sip and turned his attention back to me. "We don't have to go on a date. I'm ok with a rest day, Sir," I tried to make him feel better. "Hm call me Pierce," He chuckled. "Pierce?" I said and he took a deep breath and slowly exhaled. "You're very understanding," he smiled softly at he drink. "I don't like pushing people. I want you to be comfortable too," I said quickly and he looked at me. "You're kind. Thank you for letting me get my thoughts in order," he replied. "No problem we can end it here if you want," I smiled back.

"Hey now, I agreed to this date and I bet you don't want to watch an old bastard drink himself sober the entire time. You deserve better," Pierce smiled softly and I blushed. He slammed his drink before standing up. He snapped both of his fingers on both hands and his outfit changed. Pierce was all clean up, his shirt changed to a white button up with white embroidery, and dawned grey slacks. Along with polished black shoes and a intricate black belt. He also had a black jacket draped over his shoulders. His hair pushed back and his facial hair was cleaned up and fresh. "Shall we go Princess," Pierce smiled softly as he reached a hand out and I was speechless.

I took his hand and with another snap we were teleported to a paved path. A street lamp every few yards, it looked like a version of London. A beautiful park for a walk in the moonlight. "Look up," he whispered and I slowly looked up and I gasped. So many stars and galaxies sparkling like I've never seen before. "I figured a moon lit walk among the stars that are rarely visible on earth would be a wonderful way to close this journey you've been on," he smiled softly as he held my hand just a little bit tighter. My heart started racing. Pierce let go of my hand and took off his jacket and in a swift motion placed it on my shoulders before taking my hand back. I felt my cheeks flashed red. "Listen Ms. Olivia, if I'm coming on too stronger me know. I'm the oldest one out of all of them. I've been on the most dates. I actually love romance and I don't feel right about showing my worst qualities just to make the decision easier for rating. So I want to tell you instead of showing you," Pierce smiled as he walked, leading me down the path.

"Is that ok," I asked a little nervous. "My toxic traits revolve around emotions. I break people. The first few times; I was ranked last in dates because I traumatized people with guilt. It just ate me up inside. I turn to alcohol a lot. Ophiuchus can get upset with me all he wants. Even though I'm stupidly sensitive. I tried to stop caring so much," Pierce said looking up before he looked at me and smiled. "You're commendable," I smiled at the floor. "And you're absolutely wonderful," he teased and I blushed.

We walked at a comfortable pace and the time just flew by. His hand went from my hand to around my shoulder, then to around my waist. I felt like we were newlyweds. He listened and I felt like he would do anything at the drop of the hat. I unconsciously squeezed his hand. "What's the matter my dear. Are you tired," he asked worried. "Sorry I just don't want this to end," I smiled trying to not look nervous. "It doesn't have to," he whispered and that's when I saw it. In his outstretched palm was a star ring. A pretty almost moving aqua color like the ocean and the pisces symbol in the middle of the gem.

"What are you saying," I managed to say in still in shock. "I mean, you're interesting. Its embarrassing but I may have grown attached. Out off all the other dates I've had you're my favorite. I've never even showed my ring to another person. This is an offer though. I'm not forcing you," he smiled at me and all I could do was stare at it. "Thank you... but I think I'm needed more back home," I explained. "That's perfectly fine. I'm glad I could at least help," he smiled before lifting my hand up for a kiss. As if it was timed, the clock his midnight and I was back at my apartment.

"I'm glad you're back safe and sound my Lady," smiled Ophiuchus walking up to me as I stood in the middle of my living room. "It's all over isn't it," I asked feeling a little empty. "Well not quite. You still have to rate them," he waved his finger. My ears perked up. "Oh yeah I forgot," I said as a paper and pen was put in front of my face. I saw the names next to their symbols. At the bottom was blank. "Write the name or symbol from 1-12. When you're done tear it in half. See you when you're finished," he smiled before disappearing. With paper and pencil in hand I sat at the table. "It's almost over," I mumbled as I touched the paper with the graphite.
