Meet Aquarius
I followed Ophiuchus but my mind started to wonder. "Was Capricorn right? Did they not trust me enough to go to their real home. What if I'm stuck here... what's going on back on earth? Is time flowing at the same rate as here or have I been gone for seconds!? Or worse! Years!!!," I thought till I walked into Ophiuchus who stopped. "Sorry," I said quickly. "No worries, um is something on your mind my Lady," he asked concerned. "Just day dreaming sorry," I replied trying to be convincing. He smiled gently. "Alright then well we're here," he gestured to a beautiful flower garden. Sitting on a bench in the middle of this beautiful place, typing furiously on her laptop, was a beautiful girl. Long bright blue hair tied in a low ponytail. With bangs framing her face. Big blue eyes accented by her warm tan skin. Dressed in a white sundress, white flats, and a large white sun hat. "Good morning Aquarius!" Called Ophiuchus as we got closer.
She looked up and closed her computer. "Morning Ophiuchus. Hello there Olivia," she said with almost no emotion in her voice whatsoever. "Hello," I waved. "Well have a good time," smiled Ophiuchus before disappearing. She looked me in the eyes, before looking at the spot next to her. "Sit," she replied just as coldly. I sat down and she held my hand, like she'd done it a million times. I jumped. "Sorry was that to fast? Would you prefer to start with common date questions," she asked keeping the same tone. "Questions?" I asked. She blinked a few times before saying, "what's your name, occupation, family, what do you want in the future from this relationship? I could go on," she explained. "I guess those are common questions, but a few probably not on the first date," I chuckled. "I see. Seems my research was ineffective," she sighed. "Research?" I asked. "I wanted this to be a good human date for you. I even picked this outfit. Though if you prefer a male date, I'm happy to oblige," she said looking down at herself. "No no you're great. Thank you for putting so much thought into this. Let's do the questions," I said quickly trying to make her not feel bad. "If that's what you would like," she said before clearing her throat and continuing, "my name is Aquarius though I also go by Harris. My occupation is that of Aquarius, and I have zero family unless you ask Ophiuchus. They suggest the Signs are a family of sorts. As for the future of this relationship, I am here to help you find a compatible life partner on earth. I don't intend to keep you here longer than we have to."
Harris finished and stared at me for my reaction. "It's like I'm talking to a computer. Maybe it's because she talked without much emotion, but it doesn't sound like she dislikes me. I guess it's a personality I'm not use to," I thought as I smiled back at her. "I'm Olivia, my job was office work, mostly filing paperwork, and I have a very small family. One younger sibling who already has a loving family of his own. Um as for you and I's relationship I know it's only to help me when I get home," I explained. "Younger than you and you needed help," Harris said which caught me off guard. "Um he's only a year younger," I said quickly. "How old was he when he found love," Harris asked. "Three years ago," I said and she nodded. "Why didn't you as him for help. Could have saved you some trouble and us some time," she said bluntly and I tensed up. "He tried... but none of the people in his life... found me attractive," I spoke but my voice hitched. I looked back at her and Harris looked uncomfortable. "Please don't talk about things that make you upset. I don't handle that well," she said holding up her hand.
I took a few deep breaths and called down. "I'm ok," I assured. Harris nodded. "Perfect how about we walk through this flower garden and have some light hearted conversations," she asked standing up and offering her hand. "That sounds nice,"I smiled taking her hand.
The flowers were stunning. Each patch had a different species, and every one of its colored variants. So many different groups of plants that I wondered how they kept all alive in the exact same conditions. A hydrangea and a bird of paradise, succulents next to peonies. This place is amazing. "Tell me about your childhood," asked Harris and I jolted. "What," I asked. "My apologies is that a bad date conversation," she asked. "No no no, just surprising. My childhood was average. Happy family. Can't complain much. My brother and I were inseparable as children. My father was always working, but when he was home he always made sure to spend time with us. Mom would make so many sweets I'm surprised that I'm not extremely over weight," I joked and she half smiled as if to be polite. "I never knew family, but if I did. I wish it would be as quaint as your," she smiled.
I looked at her and the way she smiled made my heart speed up. The light squeezing of my hand made my heart flutter. Very subtle romantic things in the form of a glance, a touch of a cheek, and walking slower to make it last longer. The light breeze the wafted the sweet smells and marking the petals of a random flowers dances around us. This was the dream. A soft innocent fantasy that was the purest feeling of love. "Darling. Can I offer you a rose," she smiled softly having a rose faze into existence, in her hand. The bright red flower looked so perfect it seemed unnatural. The way it gently came up to my nose like a mistrial with his bow.
"Yes," I smiled as I took it. I looked back at her to see her staring straight ahead. "I may not understand her, but everything about her makes me want to explore her further. This is lovely. Wonderful. Giving me such a gentle approach to love," I thought as out date concluded. We reached the entrance once again. "I surprisingly enjoyed my time," she said looking at me and I didn't know how to take that. "Yeah it was fun," I smiled looking down at my rose. "Indeed. You can keep that by the way. Adieu," she said as she turned and walked away. With each step she faded to nothing. I looked down to see the flower still in my hand almost sparkling. "Adieu," I whispered and I was back as my apartment.
"Ah Olivia how was it," Ophiuchus asked as I found myself in my living room. "It was really nice," I smiled putting the flower on my coffee table. "Fantastic. Only one more you know," he smiled and I nodded. "I should feel relieved, but... Why do I feel so empty," I thought as I walked Ophiuchus go to the door. "Yeah lets go," I mumbled to myself before following his lead. A solemn feeling that made me a little uneasy. Ophiuchus smiled brightly and offered his hand. "Are we off my lady."
"Yes," I smiled back.
