Alex is a stand up comedian in a talk show. Though he lost his memory, he somehow managed to lead a normal life with many challenges. His schedule is almost similar every day. He went to the talk show at night, practiced his jokes in the morning. He visited his doctor during weekends. On one weekend, he asked his doctor, "Doc, is there any chance that I can gain my memory soon." "Of course Alex, just don't forget to take your medicine every day." Alex after taking the prescribed medicine from the doctor, he left that place which looked like an abandoned building. He mostly didn't care about that as he had his own problems. But every night when he returned home, he always felt like someone was following him, but found none when he turned back.

One day after he completed his talk show, he saw a lady, who wore a red dress with costly rings on her fingers and high heels, when he was rushing to the men's room. He accidentally pushed her. He helped her get up. That woman saw him and shook her hands with his. She praised him for doing a great comedy that night. He forcibly gave a smile, as it was quite unfair for her to say that when he was about to go men's room. She understood his intention and let go off his hand with a slight smile. She waited there till he came out. Alex felt really awkward to see her outside. He slowly escaped without her attention. She heard his footsteps and turned around to stop him. "Mr Alex, please wait, I need to talk to you." Alex stopped and asked about what she wanted to ask. She said, "I'm Sara. I'm from FBI. I really need your cooperation about a murder case." Alex was confused. When he asked about whose murder she was asking him, she showed the photo of the victim. His body shook after seeing that photo. "We have information that you meet this man every weekend. Can you please explain why?"

She took him to nearby cafeteria as she understood how scared he was. He asked, "Can I know how he died?" "It was yesterday. He was strangled to death with a rope. I think he fought back a lot because he has a very deep cut due to the rope, near his neck." Alex felt really sorry for him. He told her about why he met him. Sara was confused to hear that. She told him that he was not a doctor, but a member of a gang that does all kinds of illegal works around the country. Alex was really confused with his thoughts twisted in the brain. He didn't understand anything. She asked, "Since when have you been seeing him?" "About 6 months." "How did you meet him?" He replied, "That day was the day that I lost my memory. When I opened my eyes, I was in a hospital and I saw this man, he told me that I lost my memory and nobody came with me or for me when I was in the hospital. He told me that I had to take some medicines to get my memory back." "Did he tell you why you lost your memory?" "He said I fell from a two storey building and hurt my head hard." She gave a smirk to his answer. She asked him to be careful as the people who killed the doctor might even follow him. He wanted to ask why, but she got an urgent call and left.

As he couldn't meet that doctor, he made an appointment with some other doctor that weekend. But on that day, he met with a car accident. He was injured and was hospitalised. Well, he didn't have anyone to take care of him. Sara visited him and made him feel a little less alone. He felt happy to meet her. After few days, he got discharged. He went to the pharmacy in the hospital. The guy, who was giving medicines to him, saw Alex's face and was startled. Alex was confused. He didn't understand that man's expressions. Suddenly he had a feeling that he might know him. Immediately Alex asked him whether he knew him before. He asked Alex to wait for him outside the hospital. Alex did the same. He waited there for hours but didn't see him. He went inside to search for him but couldn't find him. He got to know that, that man left hours ago. He got disappointed.

After knowing that Alex was discharged, Sara found the place where he stays. She went there and said, "As you were in bad condition in the hospital, I didn't interrogate you. So tell me, where were you going that day?" "I was going to a doctor for treatment to my memory loss." She got frustrated and asked why he wanted to see a doctor when he knew that the last one was a fake. Instead of finding out why he tricked him, he was finding more trouble. Alex didn't understand. He said, "I don't have enough money to eat a meal regularly, what would I gain by finding about him? Also, I don't think I'm that special to be chased by anyone." "You really are unable to understand what I'm trying to explain." Alex really was confused. Sara told him to be careful. She asked him not to meet any doctor for a while.

Alex was completely broke, after spending a lot in the hospital. He couldn't go to the talk show because he hurt his throat and was unable to speak properly. It would take a while for his throat to recover. When he was trying to find a job for him, he saw the man from the pharmacy. Immediately he rushed towards him, he grabbed his hand. That man was as shocked as Alex. "Why did you disappear after asking me to wait for you that day?" "I.....uh...I did wait for you. I think we waited in different places. Well, now you're here we can talk now." Alex asked if he knew him. He said, 'How....can I know you? You look exactly like someone I...know. But THAT man died long before....right in front of my eyes." Alex was disappointed to hear that. He bid him farewell and was about to leave. Meanwhile, he heard someone screaming, "CHARLIE.....CHARLIE.......wait......"

"Mr Erik that's not Mr Charlie, we saw him die right in front of our eyes. Please, calm yourself." Erik calmed down after realizing that. But Alex came to Erik and asked if Charlie looks exactly like him. That man tried to stop Erik from talking, but Erik said, "Ben, let me talk to him." He remained silent. Erik said, "Charlie is my younger brother. He died in a car accident last week. But you look exactly like him." He told that he didn't tell his parents about that, as he was scared that it would break their hearts. But he has to tell him some or the other day.

Erik took a glance at Alex. He was surprised to notice that Alex even had the same personality as Charlie. "Anyway, can I know your number?" "It's Alex." "Alex, can you give your number? I have something to discuss with you later, PERSONALLY." They left in their separate ways. Erik could feel something really familiar about him. Ben was relaxed as he thought that he let them talk for long.

The next day, Ben was watering the plants in Erik's house by helping his father. He was startled to see Alex coming through the entrance. He dropped the hose pipe he was holding. He immediately ran towards him and asked, "Why are you here? Why are you wearing a suit? Did Mr Erik invite you for dinner? How......" He was interrupted by Erik who came from the back. He put his hand on Alex's shoulder and gently took him inside. Mrs Spencer climbed down the stairs and hugged her son with utmost happiness; Mr Spencer embraced his son and told him that he was very proud of him. Mrs Spencer told him that they missed him so much that she even had dreams of him every day. Alex said, "Mom, dad even I missed you a lot, that's why I requested bro that I will be here no matter what this year. So here I am. I surprised you, didn't I?" They both agreed. They happily went inside to have dinner. Ben was really surprised. He peeped through the living room, but couldn't hear anything. Later Erik took Ben outside and said, "Starting from today, Alex will be my younger brother for the sake of my parents. Make arrangements for him and nobody should find out the truth." "Are you deceiving your parents?" Erik replied, "I have to, for their happiness even if it's for shorter time."

Since the day Alex went to Spencers' house, he had been having strange dreams about them. He thought it was because he was staying there. The love they showed towards him made him feel blessed. As the saying goes, "Truth never hides." That time has come for Alex too. Erik's younger sister has arrived from foreign after many days. She felt really happy to see both brothers together after a long time. Erik asked, "Alice how was your journey? Do you see any difference?" "Yes of course, Charlie's here. Where have you been? You didn't call or message me for many days. Looks like you forgot me." Alex suddenly had a vision about Alice where he told her that why would he forget his only sister. He repeated the same words. He was startled. After hearing that, Alice immediately hugged him saying, "Now that's my brother." Even Erik was surprised.

Alex had a headache and left to his room. Alice secretly went to Alex's room. She surprised him from behind. He smiled. She whispered in his ears, "How is your girlfriend?" "Which girlfriend?" "Come on; now don't make me call Sara." He pretended like he knew her and said that she was busy. "Well, she will be. After all, being an FBI agent is not that easy. Is it?" He said yes. Alice heard someone calling her and left immediately. Alex had confirmed that he knows Sara, the same lady who came to the hospital and his show, by finding her number in Alice's phone. He called her and said that he wanted to meet her. He went outside. He found the manager from the talk show. He asked him how his throat was. Alex said, "It's completely alright now. My brother helped me to take care of it." "Then why aren't you coming to the show? Wait, you have a brother?" Alex's phone rang. He raised his hand to show his location to Sara. The manager saw her and said, "Oh, you're meeting your girlfriend. I'll leave then." "Wait, how did you know that she's my girlfriend?" "Well, she came to your show every day. So I asked her and she told me. Anyway, bye."

Sara approaches him with a big smile, while Alex had an angry face. She asked him about where he was all these days and what happened. He pointed at the manager and asked if she knew him. She immediately said no. He asked her with anger, "Then why did he say you're my girlfriend. Charlie, have you heard this name? Do you know Alice? I think you're not going to ask me how I got your number." Her smile faded. He thought about the dreams that he had. He realized that they weren't just dreams. "I've been having strange dreams since I went to Erik's house. Are those my memories?" "Erik......" "Yes Erik, my brother. I am Charlie Spencer. Aren't I?" "Well, we can discuss this later. Just......" "AM I CHARLIE SPENCER?" "Yes you are." After hearing that Alex collapsed on the floor.

She helped him get up. She took him to her house. She said, "You have to relax only then will you be able to understand what I'm going to say. Please calm down." He calmed himself. He asked her to tell him everything.

"It was during summer two years ago, we met each other. I was just an assistant back then. So I was transferred to Florida. You were a scientist in biotechnology. You told me you were experimenting on some microbes for curing AIDS. Even though you were busy, you always managed to see me every day. We became close. You told about us only to Alice. After two years, I became a FBI agent. I called you to tell you that, but you said you found something really dangerous about the doctors in your lab. You told me to meet you that day. So I flew to Florida that day. Some random guys kidnapped me and threatened you. They said if you told the truth to anyone, they would kill me. They tried to throw me off of the two storey building, but you saved me. You fell off while trying to save me. They took you to that strange building. I didn't know what to do. They told me not to tell about what happened. If I did, they would've killed you. I followed you without them noticing. I realized that you lost your memory. You didn't recognize me even when you saw me right in front of you on the first day in your talk show. Those men always followed you. You seriously were not interested in knowing the truth, so I didn't disturb you."

"I did want to know about my past, but still I couldn't. Do you know anything about what I was going to say to you that day?" "No. I did try to get into that company but they have very tight security." Sara asked him about how he knew his family. He said that Erik requested him to act like Charlie as their parents' anniversary was ahead. "I didn't accept. But he didn't listen to me. I told him about my memory loss. If only someone told him that I died 6 months ago, he would've known that I didn't die. Now that I think about it, he said that he saw me die last week." Sara asked how that would be possible. He saw the reflection of someone familiar on the mirror in front, who was peeping through the main door. "I think that answer is with the person whose listening to us right now." That man tried to escape. Charlie followed him. Due to his huge personality he couldn't run for too long. Eventually Charlie caught him. "Hello Ben missed me."

He took him to Sara's house where she tied him. He said that he knew that Ben followed him ever since he went to his house. They knocked him down. When Ben opened his eyes, he found himself bleeding. There was blood all over his head which made him unable to see properly. Charlie asked him why he was following him. He didn't answer. Charlie grabbed his hair and said, "I'm going to ask you one more time, if you don't answer I'm going to let to bleed. If you want me to take you to the hospital, you better answer." As they walked away towards the door, "Wait.....I'll tell you. Please don't leave me." "You better tell me who I am too."

"That day at the hospital, when I asked you to wait for me, some men wearing black suits, they looked like gorillas though ha-ha.....hmmmm.....gave me money to not meet you. I was going to tell you that you looked like Mr Charlie. But I needed the money for my daughter's school fee. So, I uh...left. I saw you the next day at a convention store, I wanted to talk to you, but again those gorillas dragged me away. This time they told me to keep you away from Mr Erik. When I asked why, they showed me more money, so I didn't tell you AGAIN. When you met your brother, they warned me to follow you every day. If I didn't they said they would take all the money back. So, that is why I followed you and informed them about you every day."

Charlie asked, "You said you saw me...no...Mr Charlie die right in front of your eyes, how?" "Well, I didn't actually see him die. We saw a car crash near the bridge. When we rushed towards the car, we saw a tattoo of a dragon on the driver's back. Mr Charlie had the same tattoo. So, we turned his head to see his face, it was completely beaten by someone. We hardly recognized him. Mr Erik took a DNA test with driver's blood. It was a 98% match. That is how we recognized him. Mr Erik was shocked. He saw a lot of wounds on the dead body. He understood that someone tried to kill him. He is working hard to find out who did that to his brother, but always hits a dead end."

Charlie removed his shirt and looked into the mirror turning his back. "Mr Charlie, it really is you. I've been a fool all along. But who was the one we saw that day?" "Sara, someone has been following me for the past 6 months. We need to find out who that is. Let's go." "What about me? You told me you would take me to the hospital." He said, "Wait here until your gorillas come. Tell them you told me everything." Ben asked what they are going to do about his wounds. Sara said, "You really are a fool, aren't you? We didn't even hit you. If we did you wouldn't have talked with us for this long. You cut your hand while running away from us. We just smeared that blood on your head." "Really, is that why I don't have a headache? That means I'm going to live." They left by the time he raised his head to see their faces. "Did they just ignore me? But I only did what I was told. Did I do anything wrong?" he was having his own thoughts. A bunch of men wearing black suits barged into the room where Ben was tied.

"Gorillas...I mean...you guys came looking for me." One of the men asked, "Where is Charlie?" he said that he and his girlfriend left. They immediately ran out of the room to catch them. Ben was left alone. They didn't even untie him. He got frustrated and strongly pulled his hands upwards. He realised that they didn't tie him tightly. He realised that they weren't trying to hurt him. He decided to help Charlie to find answers. He came outside and screamed saying he saw Charlie going under the subway. All men ran into the subway. Ben went the opposite direction. Someone dragged him aside and said, "We knew you would decide to take our side." "Mr Charlie.....I'm sorry sir. I was so greedy that I didn't realise it really was you." Sara asked him if he knew who was behind those men. He said, "No. They never answered when I asked. But I heard someone say their boss' name. It was...uh...Franklin, Franklin Rosa." Sara was shocked to hear that, she said, "That man is the chairman of the company which funded for your experiments Charlie. I remember you saying that you had dinner with him once. That next day you asked me to meet you." "Then his place is where we can find answers. Let's go." Sara grabbed his hand and said, "Are you kidding me? His place has the highest security in the country. Even I can't get in there being an FBI agent. My boss will suspend me if he knows we're planning this." "But I need to know the answers." Sara asked him to think about his family who would collapse if anything happened to him. The images of his family members flashed in front of his eyes that made him realise the danger. Even Ben told him not to take sudden steps. He told him to tell Erik that he is the real Charlie. They decided to meet Erik.

Erik came running after the maid said that Charlie arrived. He asked him where he was all night. "Before I tell you that, we need to talk privately." Erik took them to his room and closed all doors and windows. He was confused when Sara and Ben came along as he was told that they needed to talk privately. Charlie said, "I know this might be too much for you. So calm yourself before I say anything. I am...." Erik's eyes widened after listening to Charlie. He was startled to see Charlie's tattoo. "Are you really my Charlie?" with tears in his eyes, he expressed his happiness by hugging him. Erik asked, "So you don't remember anything. Is there a way for us to find out the truth about you disappearing?" they told him about Franklin's company. Even he agreed that it was highly guarded. Erik asked, "What do you think we should do then?"

Erik opened the window and asked one of his security guards to come upstairs. When he raised his head he saw something strange. He looked at his brother and outside the window. Charlie asked what he was looking at. Erik immediately pushed his brother on the ground. By the time Charlie opened his eyes after falling, he saw blood all over the floor. The guards rushed in to the room. They immediately took Erik outside the room. Sara took her gun and starting shooting out of the window. She grabbed Charlie's hand and said, "Snap out of it Charlie, we need to save your parents. Come on, move." He wiped his tears and ran outside to his parents' and helped them get out. The guards took them to a save place. Alice put her head on Charlie's shoulder and starting crying, "Will he be okay?" he patted her head and said yes with a heavy heart. Sara immediately called her team and informed about the situation. She said, "I'll try to find out who's behind this. So don't take any decisions. Stay with your parents and be safe." She left.

"No vital organs have been damaged. So he is safe. But he needs rest." "Thank you, doctor." He held his brother's hand. When his tears fell on Erik's hand, he woke up. "I know what you're thinking. It's not your fault." "Why did you do that?" "Couldn't let you die again when I was around." He became unconscious after saying that.

His parents were sleeping due to shock. He told the security guards to take care of them till he comes back. He called Sara but she couldn't lift the call. He sent a voice message to her. He threw his phone in the bin and walked away. Charlie stepped into a 50 storied building. Men wearing black suits surrounded him. When they approached him to capture him, he quickly took a photo out of his pocket and told them he wanted to talk to Franklin. They all became furious after hearing their boss' name from his mouth. A man came forward and said, "You dare speak our boss' name out of your bloody mouth. Looks like I need to send you to hell. What do you say boys?" they all laughed. That man got a call. He put his mobile down with utmost embarrassment. "Take him to the boss." Charlie gave a smirk to him, which irritated him.

When the elevator doors opened, a bunch of men with dark eyes starred back at him. He took a gulp and started moving forward. He was thrown inside a door on the right. When he raised his head, he saw two men who looked abnormally huge. He understood why Ben called them gorillas. They took him to a man sitting on an enormous chair, wearing a suit with a tie that didn't suit him. With his belly bulging out and his mouth reeking alcohol smell, he said "Hello Charlie, I thought I'd never see you again." "Franklin?" "You don't know who I am yet you dare roam around putting THAT photo in your pocket." "It was with me ever since I lost my memory." "About what memory are you talking about Charlie, is it the one I took from you?" "You took my memory?" he laughed and said, "You don't even know that, do you? I had to Charlie, because you forced me. We were good friends but you changed. You spent my money and threatened ME. I had to." "I would never be your friend." "Really, then what is that photo. Isn't that the photo that we took after our deal?" "What was that deal? Tell me." He smiled and grabbed his collar and said, "You caused me enough problems because of that. I would be a fool if I told you what it was." He ordered his men to kill him. "Why let me in if you wanted to kill me?" he didn't care to listen to him. "Wait...wait...5, 7, 9, 1....5791...what is this? I remembered it for so long, I don't know why. Tell me." He stopped. He punched him and asked what else he remembered. Charlie said that he remembered grabbing his collar and telling him that he would kill him. He loosened his tie and said, "You don't even know what that number is. What can you do with that?" "I'm not going to. I just needed time." "For what?" few people came in, breaking the window panes. "For that." "This is FBI. You are under arrest for trying to kill Mr Erik and Mr Charlie along with their parents. I repeat you are under arrest. Stay away from the victim and put your hands behind your back." He gave an angry stare at Charlie. The two men protected him by taking bullets for him. He successfully ran away with the help of his men. Sara immediately rushed inside and helped Charlie get up, while other men tried to catch Franklin but they couldn't. "Are you okay?" "I'm fine. We need to find evidence. Thank you for everything."

Few hours ago, Sara received the voice message from Charlie. But she didn't notice that because she was very busy sorting the files about Franklin. She found evidence and she wanted to show that to Charlie. So she went to hospital. He wasn't there. She wanted to call him and that is when she saw the voice mail. "Sara, I know you are worried. But I've decided to do something really ridiculous. Meet me at your house. It isn't safe at the hospital to talk." She immediately went to her house. She heard everything he said. "Are you mad? You can't just barge into a building full of security." He showed her the photo that he had. "I think this is enough for me to get in. But I need your help to get out. I don't want to die Sara." She cried after hearing that. "I never had the time to know more about you. I think we can know each other more after all this is over. I mean I can know more about you." "Maybe you don't have to do this." "What do you mean?" she gave him the papers she found about Franklin. Those were the newspaper articles when his father was a scientist. Surprisingly, he noticed something really strange about him. He immediately asked her to find out the truth from his father. "You go to the hospital. Find out the truth and give the information to your superiors. In meantime, I'll keep him talking to buy you some time." She grabbed his shoulder and kissed him, "Please be careful. I don't want to lose you." "I trust you on this then." He left.

She ran into the hospital and woke up Mr Spencer. "Sir I want you to tell me what happened that day." He looked at the newspaper, it said, "Scientists who died in the laboratory after conducting experiments on humans." He cleared his eyes to see at the photo she was pointing at. "You know him, right sir. It says it happened in your laboratory. See your name here. If you want to save your son then you need to answer my question sir."

"I only did what you asked me to do. I'm happy that you're safe." "What did my father say?" "Franklin was a scientist, who worked under your father. He conducted human trials to find cure for some dangerous diseases secretly. When your father got to know about this, he wanted to report him to the police. But Franklin blew up the whole lab along with others to hide the evidence. Your father thought he died there too, due to the fake body he created, just like yours. Your father has been secretly investigating on Franklin for many years after he found out that he's alive when he came to his company for some business. He didn't recognize your father that felt odd to him. Due to health issues he couldn't continue, he wanted to tell you and your brother about this, but he thought you would be in trouble. When I said that he was the one that attacked your brother, then he told me about his men and gave their addresses. That helped me convince my boss."

When he heard this, Charlie had a feeling that he did something bad. Somebody called Sara, "Ma'am, looks like we found his safe. But we can't open it." They rushed over there. "For someone like him, he would only put his darkest secrets as a password." Charlie understood what she said and he clicked the numbers that he told to Franklin. To his utmost surprise, it did open. There they saw all kinds of experiments they conducted were listed out. They found a recorder. When they played it, they heard Charlie's voice. "I am Dr Charlie Spencer. I am conducting experiments on animals to find cure for AIDS. Test subject 1: rat-negative....I am Dr Charlie Spencer...test subject 116: gorilla-negative...I m...test subject 2034: human-negative... the human trials are not going as well as we expected. I think I need to experiment on many more." Sara stopped the recorder. Everybody remained silent. One of the officers said, "Shouldn't we arrest him too?" Sara said, "We don't know if it is him. So we can't." Charlie took her hand and said, "It is me Sara. You know it too." "No, you can't...you won't do that." He grabbed her closer, "How can you say that? It is me. I'm a monster. You should kill me. I killed so many innocent lives. I don't deserve to live." "NO CHARLIE..." He played the recorder. "Dr Franklin is asking for actual results. I need to do something...test subject 5791: human—beeeeeeeeeeeeep" the recorder stopped working. Everybody looked at Charlie. "You can't take him sir. We need him to find Franklin. Please ..." "No Sara, I don't deserve a second chance." "Charlie, everybody gets a second chance, you got too. That's why you called me, because you wanted to change. We need YOU to find him." After thinking, Charlie felt it was important to find him first. He decided to help them. One of the telephones in the room rang, Charlie lifted the call, "Hello Charlie, BROTHER HELP ME, recognise that voice. I want you to bring the files in the safe to my laboratory. Yes I know you opened it. Now remember no one should follow you. If they do, I'll just give one of the HIV shots to your sister." He hung up. He told everything to Sara. "I'll go first. You follow me later. His men must not see you." "Are you sure?" he held her face with his hands and said, "I'll be fine. Just make sure that I don't die."

"Leave her alone Franklin. She has nothing to do with this." "You really did come without any help. As of your sister, I think she has everything to do with this. Your whole family has everything to do with this. Your father destroyed my world. I had to fake my own death. Then I found you, a talented pathologist. You see, I merely used you. But you were the one who accepted to do human trials. I just gave you the idea. You became a monster, I didn't make you." Sara told him not to let him get inside his head through the earpiece she kept in his ears. Charlie calmed himself. "Who is test subject 5791?" "You were so possessed with finding the antidote to the parasite that you created. I couldn't stop you." "I created what?" "Oh right, you thought you were finding cure for AIDS. But you made a new parasite that caused symptoms similar to malaria, but dangerous than that. While you were trying to find the antidote, I told you I wanted to make money out of it. You disagreed." "You wanted to spread the disease." "Same intelligence even without memories." "But you didn't have the antidote." "You think I'm that foolish to spread a disease that could kill me too." "Test subject 5791...." "Yes, you're right. What you don't know is that, that test subject is you. You're the cure Charlie. But you hid your blood samples somewhere I can't find. So you see, I had to threaten you. But you became a memory loss patient. I had no purpose to hurt you without you knowing the antidote's whereabouts. I started searching for it myself. I tried to take your blood samples, but you were too intelligent. You did a blood transfusion." "But why do you want to kill me? I would remember about where that antidote is." "You were trying to reveal my identity. The identity that I managed to conceal from your father. Your father came to my office once, I pretended like I didn't know him. But you were threatening me. After everything I did, you just spilled water on it."

"Let me help you find the antidote. Let my sister go." "Did I forget to tell you that I found it, just now. You gave it to your sister. I had to beat her to know the answer. Poor girl, she's unconscious. She's one stubborn girl." Charlie got tears in his eyes after hearing that. "Please let her go. I'll do whatever you want me to." Franklin laughed, he sent his men to kill him again. Charlie received a message that they found his sister and that she was alright. They were downstairs. His position was traced by the men on the next building. They shot a tranquiliser on Franklin. He became unconscious. All the units came upstairs and arrested everyone. They took Alice to the hospital where she was treated for a whole week. The police collected the parasite samples and inactivated it with the help of other scientists. Charlie gave them the antidote. He was testified in the court, where he was announced not guilty for helping the police throughout the case.
