Thor's baby
Thor struck a deal with his father to let him stay on Earth- or Midgard, as he says it. S.H.I.E.L.D. gave him a place to stay, which he could enter and leave without destructing the lawn. He wanted to surprise Jane, since she was too busy with her science to be with him. At the moment, she was moving around Earth more than he did around realms. He accustomed himself with earthly-well-customs, and planned on surprising Jane when she came back tonight. He initially worked with Vision to make a meal for Jane, but halfway through the disaster, Wanda stepped in and made the meal while she had the boys clean the kitchen from floor to- ceiling. Thor dared to call Darcy to ask her what music Jane liked, with the promise that he would take Darcy on a flight if she managed to keep the secret. He was his jolly Thor self, waiting for Jane in her apartment when she called him that her flight was delayed. That definitely deflated his hopes, and he mopily exited the building and went for a walk. He got himself two jugs of his favorite Starbucks and walked to the park, which was conveniently located for an orphanage.
The bench bent under his weight, but he was too busy drinking and staring at the stars. He wondered if Loki felt this lonely in his prison cell. Something tugged on his pants but he brushed it off. The tugging still kept on.
"I SAID ENOUGH!" Thor yelled and lifted his leg, to see a toddler wrapped around it.
He looked about and pulled up the baby from his leg, holding it awkwardly under the arms.
"And whose little one would you be?" Thor asked the girl. Her red sweatshirt was a little too big on her and Thor had to hold her more tightly to keep her from slipping.
The baby reached for his long hair, playfully tugging on it.
"You're a little tugger, aren't ye?" he laughed, shaking his away from the girl's hands.
The toddler girl cackled at his shaking hair and reached for it again, but Thor took her and stood up.
"Let's get you back to your family, tugger."
He walked to a yoga group in the middle of the park, and all the women stopped to stare at him.
"Would any of ye be this child's mother?"
The women ran and hoarded him.
"Sure! I'll be her mother!" A first said before she was bumped out by another.
"No, I'M her mother." Thor was convinced and was handing her over when the second lady was pushed out of the way.
The women started fighting, and more people came around, and the baby became fussy.
"I take I've asked the wrong question, eh?"
"You sure did, mister."
Thor turned to the old, white haired man standing next to him, donning a pair of blacked out glasses.
"But look, no woman can resist a hunk of a man holding a tiny baby."
Thor was inspired.
"I am grateful for the suggestion, man I see standing about everywhere."
With that, he took Mjolnir and the baby and flew back to Jane's apartment, carefully landing to not hurt the baby.
It looked like Jane had beat him to it, but he wasn't unhappy about it. Thor stood in the living room, waiting for Jane to come out, but when the door opened, it was Darcy.
"Oh, my THOR! That's a baby! You have a baby!" Darcy ran over squealing, wiggling her fingers and pinching and biting the baby.
"Has Jane not returned yet?"
"She's coming up the stairs, yes she is!" Darcy replied to the baby, but then saw Thor staring at her and cleared her throat.
"Jane's coming up."
Right on cue, Jane entered, dragging a suitcase behind with her phone tucked between her ear and shoulder; but it fell when she saw Thor in the middle of her living room, holding a baby.
"What have you got there, dear?"
"Oh this?" Thor said, bouncing the girl in his arm. "This is a babe. Some old man advised having one would help me attract more women. And behold, here you are, Jane?"
"We're not keeping a baby. Neither of us has time for it."
Darcy jumped in place, raising her hand.
"I can babysit!"
Thor suppressed a gasp and pulled the girl away from Darcy.
"Why by Odin would you volunteer to SIT on a baby!"
Jane facepalmed.
"She means she can watch the baby when we are too busy to."
"Aha, so we are keeping this tugger, yes? See what luck she is for me; she brought you back! I shall name you lady Luck!"
"She's not a dog Thor!"
"Yeah, she looks more like a n/y/n. Oh or maybe a n/y/n."
"No, she's definitely a y/n!" Jane said, taking y/n from Thor and bouncing her in her arm. "So, you only got a baby for me as a welcome home present?"
"But no, my lady Jane. I have prepared for you a meal, which we shall share as we enjoy your favorite music!"
"So that's what that call in Greece was about, huh aunty Darcy?" Jane asked the baby, who was taking a liking to her.
"Where'd you find her, Thor?"
"In the park by the 5th avenue. There were no 4th or 6th there."
Darcy rolled her eyes as she sat at her computer.
"Isn't that the one across the orphanage? That would make sense."
"Does that mean we keep her?" Thor sat next to Jane on the couch as she handed y/n back to him.
"Yes Thor." Jane caved, resting her head on his shoulder, "that means we keep her."
