Redemption
Loki
Odin covered up after his son, and Asgard believed that Loki was under the control of an Enchantress when he did those evil things. He was still the beloved prince, but his family knew the wrongs he did. The warriors three grew vary of him, and Thor was less attached. Frigga still loved Loki the most, though. To make things seem even more normal, Odin forced Loki to marry the daughter of a close friend. Frigga was okay with the plan, with her own reasons of course. She thought being a married man would soften his heart and not leave him so lonely anymore.
The wedding of Loki and Sigyn was thrown with much gusto. It was the first happiest event in Asgard for a long time. It was more awaited than the wedding of William and Kate, and much more lavish. The gowns were longer and prettier, and more graceful. And of course, there was more booze and disgrace. The bride and groom were all smiles for the audience, and Sigyn even liked Loki, but the resentful prince wasn't in the mood for any of it. After the reception, Frigga left them in their room, and Loki left Sigyn alone for the rest of the night.
A year later, and Loki had warmed up to his wife, enough to not subject her to his petty and cruel pranks. He didn't know it, but he felt jealous when any man was around Sigyn, or when she hung out with Sif and the Warriors, being easily picked up by three men who were more than twice her size.
During a party at the palace, Loki sulked at his throne as he watched Sigyn greet and laugh with guests, even accepting a few dances with other men, though she smiled at him at every spin. That night, he finally gave in.
He came back to his room after a walk full of despair through the garden, and walked in on Sigyn undoing the strings on the back of her dress. They were tied up a bit too tight for her nimble fingers, and he sighed annoyed as he got in to help her. He helped her undo the strings, then her hair, then her dress piled on to the floor below his own armor. And they finally consummated their marriage.
Even after that night, Loki kept up his cold and uncaring persona, but he knew he had warmed up to Sigyn and liked to tease her with his ignorance. He was even distant when three weeks later Sigyn started throwing up every morning. The last straw blew away when the safety of Sigyn, and his child, was threatened, and Loki finally stepped up.
Frigga had forced Loki to spend some time with Sigyn, so they decided to take a walk in the garden. Sigyn excitedly talked away, as most new mothers to be often did, and Loki intently listened, though he looked away and unamused. Sigyn was looking at him as she walked, and unknowingly missed a step.
The princess let out a short squeal as she fell and Loki quickly turned toward her, but wasn't fast enough to catch her. She fell on her stomach in pain, and Loki whisked her away to Frigga's room, laying her on the bed as she clutched her abs in pain.
"By heavens, is Sigyn alright?"
"She missed a step, is all. She'll be alright." He replied to his mom and quickly returned his attention to his wife.
"Where does it hurt?" Loki asked her as he awkwardly touched around her stomach.
He found the spot where she yelled in pain, and immediately whipped up a healing spell. Sigyn responded to the spell by letting go and relaxing as she lay, though tears still fell through her eyes.
"That better?" He whispered to her, and she nodded forcing a smile on her face.
Loki picked her up off the bed enough to slide in behind her, and Sigyn rested her head on his chest, placing her hands over his. The prince kissed his wife on her white gold hair, and his chest did a double heave.
"Have you been crying?" Sigyn asked him.
"A prince does not cry," Loki replied.
"Mhmm"
"You know, I've fallen off the glass bridge, yet I've never been more scared than I was when you fell."
Sigyn looked up at him, proud. No one realised Frigga was still in the room.
"I've pined for many things I believed were owed to me. Now I couldn't care if I were born in a shack; I won't have anything, not even the fates, take away the only things that are only mine."
"Have you got a list?" Sigyn teased.
"Only two. My wife, and my child. I will fight the realms to keep you safe, and keep you mine."
Sigyn placed a kiss on his chest and closed her eyes as she fell asleep under the powers of the healing spell.
"And we aren't going anywhere. We're with you till you grow sick of us and wish to throw us away."
Loki laughed. "I can throw away the crown of Asgard, but I will never throw you away. Whether I like it or not."
After that day, Loki actively awaited the birth of his child. He watched Sigyn's every step, every step, and made sure not even a fly crossed her way. He and Sigyn prepared the nursery right next to their room, and Sigyn had to contain Loki, who could fill the room with toys and trinkets the baby couldn't even play with till 3 years in. Frigga and Sigyn prayed for a boy, to keep Loki's ego, but the prince was more happy over the birth of his little girl.
He named her y/n, and she was more precious to him than all the infinity stones combined.
"I've done many wrongs in my life. Hurt many people, pined for things that could never be mine. But you are mine, and mine alone. I shall see that no harm or evil ever cross your ways. And every soul who wishes you harm will be struck down, just as sure as my blood runs in your veins. You are the best gift the fates have bestowed upon me, Y/n, and it will take so much more than fate to take you away from me."
Thor, being Thor, was overjoyed about being an uncle, and made promises to her just like he did with Loki when they were boys. And her grandfather, Odin, too, gifted her many things, the biggest of which, was forgiveness to her father, Loki.
