Chapter 3: Wyatt's POV

My sister, Willa, sent me to the town of Seabrook. I was walking through the town disguised as a public worker. I heard an alarm go off, followed by an automated message. Werewolves have been sighted in the area. Take cover immediately. I sighed and rolled my eyes. I went around a corner and saw a young zombie, maybe 8, with an older human girl, maybe 16. The zombie girl was hanging up a poster with a werewolf on it. I walked over to them.

The zombie asked, "Have you seen any werewolves? I'm looking for a were-friend."

I smiled slightly, "Silly kid, there's no such thing as werewolves."

She argued, "But we heard a howl."

I replied, "Maybe it was hiker saying 'howl's it going?'"

She responded, "It was a werewolf and Noelle saw them."

I froze at the name. It couldn't be I thought to myself. My soulmate's name was Noelle Wells. Well,  the soulmate I shared with Willa and my packmate, Wynter. The human girl finally looked at me.

She had beautiful white hair that I wanted to run my hands through. She also had the deepest shade of blue eyes that I had ever seen. The white hair cascaded down her back in perfect ringlets. The blue eyes I could get lost in. The white hair and blue eyes complimented her complexion perfectly.

She smiled softly at the zombie, "Honey, I'm not sure what I saw."

Her voice sent shivers down my spine and I felt like I could melt right then.

She turned to me, "I'm sorry. I'm Noelle Wells, and this is Zoey Necrodopolis."

I froze. This gorgeous human being was the missing part to my soul. I knew Willa And Wynter would be ecstatic. I was about to reply when a guy I assumed to be Zoey's dad interrupted.

The zombie said, "Zoey come inside now and Noelle you need to get home."

They both looked at each other. My soulmate grabbed Zoey's hand. Noelle led Zoey home. As she was walking, she turned to me and smiled while waving. I smiled back. I watched her walk away until I could no longer see her. I grabbed the poster and walked back towards the Forbidden Forest. As I walked back to my pack, my thoughts stayed on the white haired goddess.

As my pack came into view, I heard Willa say, "He's back. Wolves!"

I took of the helmet and handed it to a packmate. Then, I took of the public workers uniform and put back on my moonstone necklace. Afterwards, another packmate drew 2 purple lines on the side of my face. I walked up to my sister and activated my necklace. My eyes turned yellow and my fangs and claws grew out as I snarled.

She asked, "What did you find out?"

I answered, "They saw you howling, Willa."

"So?," she questioned.

I sighed, "We're exposed."

I handed her the poster and she laughed at it. I had to admit that it was a little funny. It looks nothing like us.

Willa said, "Looks nothing like us, Wyatt. We have way better hair then that. Stop being such a worry-wolf, brother. I only said 'awoo.' It's like saying 'ciao' or 'aloha' or 'I'll rip your throat out.' Anyway, who cares what they think. It's a terrible town."

If only you knew, I thought to myself. "We have to find the Great Alpha."

Willa rolled her eyes, "If there even is a Great Alpha."

I smiled to myself, something that didn't go unnoticed by Willa or Wynter.

"Willa, we saw her in the forest. She had the white hair," I said

Willa argued, "It was probably just the light."

I sighed, "She's real, and she's going to lead us to the moonstone." And hopefully accept our mateship I thought to myself. "And you know we don't have much time. More and more of our pack are getting sick. Our necklaces are almost out of power. We have to find the moonstone."

Then, Wynter exclaimed, "And when we do, we can recharge our necklaces and stay wolf strong for another 100 years."

Willa asked, "Okay, even if the girl is the Great Alpha, how do we find her?"

I pulled a logo out of my pocket that read Seabrook High School Cheer, "I found this in the woods. It belongs to her sister."

Wynter gasps, "We'll track her sister down with our keen sense of smell."

I responded, "Says Seabrook High on it, so I thought we might just look there."

Willa responded, "Ugh! Okay, Fine. We find the girl, and if she's the Great Alpha, she'll tell us where the moonstone is hidden."

I smiled, "We go in the morning."

"We go tonight," my sister argued.

I agreed, "Or tonight works."

The whole pack howled. As we were getting ready, Willa and Wynter pulled me aside.

Wynter smiled softly at me, "What has got you so happy?"

I couldn't contain my joy anymore, "I met our soulmate when I went into town earlier."

Their eyes widened, and they started bombarding me with questions. "What is she like?" "Is she nice?" "What does she look like?" "Does she know about werewolves?"

I listened to all their questions, "She seems nice, caring, and funny. She has beautiful white hair that fell in ringlets down her back, and the deepest shade of blue eyes that I had ever seen. I don't think she knows about werewolves."

They nodded with smiles on their faces, as they let everything I said sink in.

Willa exclaimed, "WAIT! WHITE HAIR?"

I nodded as confirmation, "I think she's the Great Alpha."

Wynter said, "Why didn't you say so. I think the pack is ready. Lets go."

No one's catching me unless I wanna be caught

I'm dancing in the shadows, ain't no leash when I walk

It's great to feel invincible, it's great to feel alive

My appetite's insatiable, there's nowhere it can hide

Our freedom isn't up to them, it's only up to us (Us)

I'm the alpha, I'm the leader, I'm the one to trust (Trust)

Together we do whatever it takes, we're in this pack for life (Awoo)

We're wolves, we own the night

Oh, we own what we own, oh, we own the night

Oh, we own what we own (Awoo), we own the night!

The only thing that is worse than our bark's our bite

Oh, we own what we own (Awoo), we own the night!

I'm picking up the scent, it seems we're on the right track (Track)

The moonlight's on the rooftops, the wind is at our backs (Backs)

We're living in the shadows, we're living for the chase (Chase)

Our legacy is in our sights, so let's pick up the pace

We're on a quest to find the power that's inside of us (Us)

She's the alpha, she's the leader, she's the one to trust (Trust)

Together we do whatever it takes, we're in this pack for life (Awoo)

We're wolves, we own the night

Oh, we own what we own, oh, we own the night

Oh, we own what we own (Awoo), we own the night!

The only thing that is worse than our bark's our bite

Oh, we own what we own (Awoo), we own the night!

We own what we own

The night is our home

We own what we own (Wolves, awoo)

We own the night

Oh, we own what we own, oh, we own the night

Oh, we own what we own (Awoo), we own the night!

The only thing that is worse than our bark's our bite

Oh, we own what we own (Awoo), we own the night!

We made it to Seabrook High, and we hid in a vent. We waited for the students to arrive. Willa, Wynter, and I cuddled in the corner. Our thoughts remained on our mate.
