Kiki POV

Holy shit I'm Alpha!
Darrick was right. I'm Alpha not Kiju. I'm the Chief's child, I'm the one with the blood of the leader. My ancestors were leaders of the pack, so now it was my turn. It all made sense now, I was turned into a werewolf because the pack need a leader. And family tree is why I was chosen for the job, not just because something is freaky wrong with me. But just the thought of leading the pack made a knot in my stomach. Wow first, I find out there are five vampires in our land. Second, my friends are werewolves, and now so am I. Thirdly, it finds out I'm an Alpha.
I run my hands through my hair, " This can't be happening "
" What's wrong with being Alpha? " Darrick asks
" Everything! I can't lead a pack I'm new to, don't get me wrong I'm a strong girl, but this!? This is different, I'm more of the do it on my own and my own way type of girl." I say looking into his bright blue eyes.
" It's okay I'm sure your dad has some tips on being a strong Alpha. " he says holding my gaze.
" No I don't want to be Alpha ... Kiju can lead the pack, he is good at it" I say.
" But this is what you were changed for, to lead. " he said grabbing my hand, and towing me. His hands were ice cold, it made me want to yank my hand, but his grip was too tight.
I gave up and followed him. "Where are we going?" I ask him.
He looks at me over his shoulder," We are going to tell your family and pack what's going on. "
" No! I can't! " I say pulling back with a decent amount of success.
" Yes you can, I'll help you." he said looking into my eyes.
It caught me off guard, so I started following him again "Why do you want to help me? I thought our kinds didn't like each other?" I ask holding his gaze wait for an answer.
" One, I want to help you because I need your help with something. Second, the generation before us settled our differences with rules we needed to follow, so that means that we could get along. " he says giving me a crooked smile showing his perfect teeth.
" Wait weren't you the generation before us too, cause you're old? " I ask smirking at him, trying to lighten the mood.
He chuckles, " You're funny, but now it's time to talk about important matters, ready? " he asked stopping at the door.
Everyone has already been inside since me and Darrick left. I heard them do so. I look at Darrick he looks as nervous as I feel. A stress line between his frowning brows. Then I look down to our hands holding each other. Right now I should be wanting to pull them apart, but I don't. I feel stronger, but it also feels like cold yet warm stone. I look back at him and smile, " I'm ready "
He smiles back, opening the door, " Good "

Kiju's POV

Mr. Azokia finally let us in right after Kiki stormed off and Darrick followed. I would have followed but she looked really heated, and I know better to know that she needs her space.
Once we walked in, I saw that Mrs. Azokia had teary eyes. She must be very worried about her only child. I walked up to her and hugged her. She is a nice woman and I knew her for all my life, so it was not an awkward move.
" Oh my poor Kiki. " she sobbed into my shoulder.
" Mary it's going to be okay, you raised a strong girl." I said smoothing her back.
Mr. Azokia walks up to her and tells her everything will be okay. I let go of her and they hugged each other. Seeing them hug each other reminded me of earlier today. When Kiki was in my arms, her beautiful green eyes looking into my bronze eyes. Our arms wrapped around each other, it felt so good... so right. I shake my head, shaking that thought out of my mind. Kiki didn't love me the way I loved her. She only saw me as her best friend. It hurts loving someone, and they don't feel the same.
But when I turn the view I see literally brakes my heart more. Darrick's hand is holding Kiki's, and they are smiling at each other. My heart drops to my stomach, and blood boils with jealousy. He holding my world in his icy hands. I glare at him, but he just looks into her eyes. Then he looks at me and winks. That's it this leech thinks he can just get what he wants because he has looks.
I walk up Kiki with a smile on my face, "Hey Kiki"
She looks at me with her green eyes, "Hey Kiju, I have some important news for everyone."
My smile instantly drops, and I look that her holding his hand, "Oh... "
She let's go of his hand quickly, "Nooo, never. I know why I changed." Her move caught Darrick off guard, and I smirk at his confusion. He rolls his eyes at me.
" Really?" I ask her.
" Yup" she says then turns to everyone, " Guys please all take a seat I've got an important piece of information regarding my change! " she yells out.
We all walk to the couches and take a seat. Cody and Jessica sit on the love seat, and Justin and Elma lean against the wall. Mr. and Mrs. Azokia stand next to the couches holding hands . I sit next to Tiko and Juan. Then I feel something cold next to me, my blood boils. I turn to glare at him, but he just sits there smirking at me.
" I don't bite, so chill mutt. " he says smirking at me.
" I know a leech such as you doesn't bite, you suck." I smirk back, but he winks. My eyes widened shocked by his response, and he laughs.
" I'm just joking don't get your hopes up" he says smirking.
" Trust me, I wasn't even thinking about it. " I say shaking my head.

**time skips **

Kiki goes on telling us her news and it shocks all of us. But it all makes sense. She was changed because of her blood, the blood of a leader running through her veins. Although she is a girl, she had to be the leader because she was the only child. And Mr. Azokia is too old to lead a pack, so Kiki took his place. So that makes her Alpha, but she doesn't want to be alpha.
" But Kiki who would be Alpha if it's not you? " Juan ask her.
" Kiju. He can take my place as leader." she says looking at me.
" What?!" I say standing up.
" Why not you were already leading before I changed, so why not continue? " she asks.
" Because.... Uuuh I don't know it's not my role to take. " I say.
" Kiju please. " she pleaded with a look in her eyes that I couldn't say no to. She really didn't want to be alpha.
I shake my head, " Fine." I give in.
" Thank you." she says hugging me, I hug her back. We sperate, and she goes to her dad. " We can talk about this tomorrow, it's getting late and we need some sleep after this wack day okay?"
" Okay, but one quick question." he says.
" What? "
" Where are they staying? " he says looking at the vampires.
" Oh don't mind us we'll just find a nice tree and relax. Thank you though." Darrick says standing up and walking towards the door.
" Actually we have extra rooms since there's only three of us in this house, so you guys can stay here. " says Mrs. Azokia. She's a very nice lady, but her offer made my blood boil. The thought of Darrick sleeping in the same house as Kiki, was making a knot in my stomach.
" Well thank you Mrs. Azokia, but are you sure? " Darrick ask.
" Yes, but only two of guest room are available because the third one we decided to use as a storage." she says.
" It's fine, thank you. I'll just take the couch, and each of these love birds can take a room. " he says.
" Okay, come with me, I'll show you guys your rooms" says Kiki's mom and dad say at the same time. Cody, Jessica, Elma, and Justin followed her parents up the stairs. And Juan and Tiko just left a few minutes ago, so that left Darrick, Kiki, and me in the room.
" Sooo that means I'll get you some pillows and blankets." Kiki says to Darrick.
" Thank you, darling." he replies to her. She glares at him and rolls her eyes at him then walks into the hallway.
I follow after. Darrick rolls his eyes at me, but I pretend I didn't see cause I didn't care. I walk up to Kiki, and she smiles at me with her beautiful face lighting up.
" You don't have to help me, remember I'm a werewolf now. So I'm strong enough, trust me. " she says opening the hallway closet.
" I do trust, and I know you don't need my help, but I want to help you. " I say grabbing two pillows and a blanket. Then she grabs another blanket.
" Why two? " I ask her.
She smiles at me, " because he's Cold. " she says. Then she's laughing at her joke, and so am I.
I shake my head, "Oh Kiki, you and your humor. "
She chuckles, and shakes her head as well looking at the floor. The way she looked remind me of us when we were younger telling each some of our funny experiences. Put the stuff on the ground next to my feet. Then I gently put my hands on each side of her face and tilt her head so that her eyes are looking to mine. I could feel her heart beat faster, and her face slightly heating up. I make her nervous and it's cute. She looks straight into my eyes, and she's taking in my gentle facial expression.
" Kij- " she starts to say but I stop her.
" Kiki please promise me you'll be careful. " I say.
"huh? " she says, what I said caught her off guard. She must of thought I was trying to make a move.
" There are five blood sucking creatures staying in your house, so promise me you'll be ok. "
" I promise, but you don't have to worry about me. " she says holding my gaze.
I lean in a little closer and whisper in her ear, " I always worry about you, your always my first concern. You're always in my head, and I'm sorry but I can't help it. "
I could hear her heart beat a little faster. " Kiju you know I only see you as a friend. "
" If you only see me as a friend then why do I make you so nervous ?" I ask whispering in her ear holding her waist.
" I-I don't know ... " she says looking at the floor.
I put my hands on her face again, and make her look at me again.
" Kiki I'm sorry, but I love you."
" I know you do, but ..."
"but what? "
" I don't know what you want me to say Kiju. "
" Say you love me " I say holding her gaze and hug her.
" Then tell me you'll never love me and I'll have to deal with it"
" I can't do that either... " she says putting her head on my chest.
" I won't rush you, I'll wait for your answer no matter how long it takes. " I say then kiss her forehead.
" Thank you... " she says pulling us apart.
" No thank you for giving me a chance. " I say picking up the pillow and blanket.
" Okay let's give these to the leech" she says walking back to the living room.
" Okay" I reply following her.
We walk into the living and place the stuff on the couch. When walked in, Darrick was looking at the pictures of Kiki, her family, and her friends. He stopped on the one of Kiki wearing a dress smiling next to me, Puka, and Tina. That was the day we all went to the beach for her 14th birthday. His eyes were focus on Kiki, and he was smiling. This made my blood boil, I wanted to throw him out of this house, out of this land.
He turns and sees us, and speaks in a low voice, " Oh thank you. " the next moment he takes the stuff from the couch. Then he starts fixing it onto the couch.
" Uh ... Your welcome" she says looking at him from to me and shrugs her shoulders at my confused look.
I clear my throat to get his attention, " So Darrick tomorrow morning we expect an explanation of why you and your clan are here in our land got it. " I say in my low-tone alpha voice making it sound as a command.
" You got it Mr. Alpha Sir " he says shaking my hand. This move makes me jump. His hand is so fucking cold. He smirks at my reaction.
" No wonder why they call you the Cold One " I say quickly taking back, and Kiki giggles at me. So I wink at her and she blushes. " Well I think I should get going my family is probably worried about me. " I say pulling my phone out of my pocket seeing 7 miss calls from my mom. Well I'm dead when I get home.
Kiki looks at phone and puts her hand on my shoulder, " I'm going to miss you my good friend, never get that many miss calls from your mom" she says laughing.
" I'm going to miss you too bye" I say hugging her then whisper in her ear, " Stay safe. " then I  leave out the door.
When the door closes I hear Kiki tell Darrick good night and go to her room. I sigh with relief, and walk home.
What a day.
