There they go

You were glad Ryusui took your rejection well, though he did say he'd always be available for a casual date. When you explained the situation to him, it turned into a gossip session. In which he actively took part.
"And then! He said goodnight and just walked away."
"Oh my god, what?!"
"Right?! That's fucked up!"

But Senku had a different treatment.
"Senku you fool! How could could leave such a beautiful, kind and talented woman standing for a month?!" was the first thing he told him after that. "You better treat her like a queen!"
Senku groaned and rolled his eyes. Thankfully, they were alone when he said that.

He also said that he would've given him a whole lecture on how to treat a woman if it wasn't for your request. When you explained the situation, you asked him to keep it quiet for now. You knew such news would attract a lot of attention, and you knew Senku would *hate* to be surrounded by people, drowning him with questions.
And oh boy he was *so* grateful for that.

You on the other hand both wished you did and didn't keep it a secret. Because after your performance, some new admirers came knocking at your office's door from time to time. Some were villagers, others were part of Tsukasa's army of buffy boys. You just politely rejected them, knowing it'd be the end for Senku if those buff boys found out. But at the same time you just really wanted to hit them with a 'Bitch! I have a bo-!'
You covered your mouth, keeping yourself from giggling bashfully.

So you kept it secret, for now at least. But! Our mentalist noticed. At least, you suspected him to have.
"You look happy today (Y/n)-chan!"
"Oh." you looked at him. "Really?"
He nodded.
"You're almost shining~!" he rested his chin on his palm.
You chuckled nervously.
"Thanks..."
But he didn't push it further, he just smiled. And you were just hoping he wasn't planning to say or do anything.

And you know what? You were right! He was just going to wait, be patient... Cut to Gen mentally laughing maniacally at his (somewhat) 'maniacal' plan.

Finally the hot air balloon was complete! It was massive!
As you were all eating together, Senku explained that only three people could get on this little trip.
"I'll pass." Gen raised his hand.
"I won't!" you exclaimed. "I will get on that balloon!"
"Obviously, Senku will be one of those three people since he knows how to operate it." Taiju said. "But what about the last one?"
"You just assumed (Y/n)-chan will be part of the three?"
"Uh, yeah, 'cause he's right!" you raised your hand and Taiju gave you a high-five.

"I can't pilot the balloon by myself." Senku said. "In order to operate it, you have to combine the operation with reading the patterns of the wind. So the pilot has to be a pro at understanding the wind."
"I see. Hey! Ryus-" Taiju began to call out when Gen slapped him on the head.
"You are both terrible at negotiation!" he whispered harshly. "This is our chance to rip off Ryusui for some more cash! 100,000 dragos to be our pilot!"
"Aah~, I'll leave that kind of underhanded stuff to you."

Gen gathered everyone for a lottery. The one who'll pick the two jokers will be the two passengers. And you figured Gen will use his 'forcing'. You leaned closer to him and stared into his eyes. The intensity of your gaze took him by surprise.
"Gen. Give me the joker." you whispered. "Or else. I swear to god. I'm going to be so sad."
He puffed a chuckle, feeling silly to have actually gotten tense. He just smiled and presented the cards to you. You narrowed your eyes then looked down at them. A few seconds later, you gulped and picked a card.

"OOOOOOH~!" you raised your hands in the air. "Biiiiitch! Yes!" you turned towards him. "Thank you Gen Thank you!"
You were about to hug him but he raised his hand in order to stop you.
"What are you saying (Y/n)-chan? I had nothing to do with it. You're just very lucky~."
"Ah, right." you scratched your cheek. 'I got ahead of myself there...'

While you happily hopped towards the balloon, Gen presented the cards to Ryusui. He noticed one of them were slightly more forwards and smiled.
"I see. If you really wanted my help, you should have just been honest and said so!" he picked it up. "But since you have Gen trying to pull these dirty little tricks, I'll charge you one million dragos for my piloting fee! Hahaha! The winning joker is mi-!" he stopped talking and his expression fell when he looked at his card and saw that it was the three of heart.

"Oof." you giggled at his expression.
"Big oof." Senku added, smiling.

"Oh! What's this?!" Gen showed the card he 'picked'. "*I* pulled the joker?! No way~! What a shock!" he waved it in front of Ryusui's face. "I didn't want this! Whatever will I do~?!"
You and Senku smiled, understanding his plan. You glanced at each-other before walking up to him.
"What, you don't want that?!" Senku pointed at the joker, making an adorable face. "That's like, a super platinium rare ticket! You might never get something like that again! This is humanity's first flying device of the new world!"
"Plus it'll be just the three of us!" you added. "An epic adventure with just us the boys~!"
"Yeah~ you're right." Gen leaned back. "But I'm sooooo scared of hot air ballooooons!"
"Oh no~." you placed your hands on top of your head. "What a predicament~."
You snickered and turned around, Senku took a step aside so you were behind him, hiding you from Ryusui. Who seemed to have taken the bait.

"H-Haha! In that case," he snapped his fingers. "I don't mind trading with you!"
You had to hold back another chuckle when you saw Gen smirking right before wearing an innocent expression and turning towards him.
"Really~? But~ I mean, I did get so lucky and pull this ticket after all. So~ I couldn't exactly give it away for free..."
And Ryusui did not hesitate to dump a mass amount of cash in front of him. Gen cackled at his money while he was happy with his joker. A total win-win situation. Now buying the oil from him won't be a problem for sure!

"Awesome, so we're all set right?" you asked Senku.
"Sure. We'll check the weather and prepare the balloon. It'll take some time but we'll get off the ground in time for sunrise."
You smiled and excitedly shook your fists.
"Oh my god it'll be so beautiful! I can't wai-!"
"I'M RARING TO GO!!!"

You yelped in surprise. You all looked over to see Chrome walking towards you with the upmost determination. He looked like he could pass out at any second.
"Chrome?!" Kinrou exclaimed. "Did you run all the way back?!"
"What?! All the way from the village?!" Ginrou said.
He stopped in front of you and extended a hand.

"Give me your joker (Y/n)!"
"No fuck off!" you turned a bit as to protect your card.
"Oh come on! I've never flew ever in my life!"
"Well I haven't either! I also really want to get on that balloon!"
He took some panting breathes and hung his head down.

"With these eyes of mine," he said. "I want to see from up the sky what the world is really like... You yourself told me that the earth is round." your expression softened. "But we've lived all our lives in this little village...so all we do is hear." he paused. "All we'll ever be able to do is hear about things from you guys. So that's why..."
He took a moment to catch his breath again. He noticed something and looked up. You were handing him the joker.
"Here." you smiled. "Sorry I got so defensive."
"You always get defensive (Y/n)-chan." Gen smiled. "Are you sure though?"
"I'm sure I'll get another chance someday."
Chrome took a moment to appreciate your bro-move and took the card.
"AAAAALL RIIIIIIGHT!" he raised it in the air in victory. "Thank you (Y/n)!!!"
"You're welcome Chief." you smiled.

It was still dark when the hot air balloon was ready to go. Senku let a little balloon fly in the air so he could calculate the direction of the wind and its speed, and Ryusui deducted that the weather was in the perfect condition for flying.
Everything was quiet as the balloon started to float. As soon as the ropes were cut you let out an 'Ow shit!' and ran away. Everyone was quite confused but they quickly understood when you quickly came back with your trumpet. Senku chuckled.

"Of course." he mumbled to himself, resting his head on his palm and his elbow on the edge on the basket, smiling as he looked down at you.
You inhaled deeply before playing using your full lung capacity, so that the music gets to the three passengers even when they're high off the ground.

It was soothing, simple even. But to the villagers contemplating the power of science once again, and the guys up there, being the first to witness the sunrise, it only added to the grandness of the scene.

Now that the balloon was gone, you were actually glad you weren't one of the passengers, because now you could focus more on upgrading your business. You checked the materials available at the moment and checked with Kaseki what instruments you could make next.

"The hardest ones to make are strings instruments," you said. "and they take a lot of time to make, so we'll have to focus on the wind sections and percussions." Kaseki nodded. "We could start by making a double bass though. It's an essential intrument if we want to make more shows, and we already have the strings from the guitar, we only need to craft the wood part." you paused, thinking for a sec. "Problem is: double basses are huge. The strings won't be long enough." you looked up at the sky. "It is still summer, I could go out and look for silk again, just enough to make them longer." you blink twice in realization, smiling. "Or I could have my employees do it! I have some!"
You actually asked them to get as much silk as possible. Better too much than not enough, plus you'd have to make string instruments at some point or another, mind as well start to gather some materials now.

You made a blueprint (not as good as Senku's of course) to make a trombone.
"I wonder, did you also make instruments back in your world?" Kaseki asked.
"No. But I learned how they were made with Senku."
"How?"
"He would come to my place and dissect all of my instruments to kinda reverse-engineer them and see how they work." you chuckled. "It was fun."

Meanwhile, Kohaku came back with wheat seeds that they found in a huge field while making the new map. Before she went back to the village, you asked her about what was up. She said the map work was going smoothly, with Chrome and Ukyo on land, her Senku and Ryusui on the balloon.
"Flying is just so amazing!" she exclaimed with stars in her eyes.
"I'm...I'm sure it is yeah."
'RAH~! I'm so envious!'

So now you guys could grow your own food, it solved the problem of food shortage, which was a great relief. Yuzuriha made a farmer's hat and Gen used it as a bait to encourage everyone to work their hardest.
"Surely the food supply king would be our leader while Senku's gone!" he said. "Plus with Senku, the king of science, (Y/n)-chan, the queen of entertainment, and Ryusui the sailor king, we need a leader for that area too! They'd join the elite!"
"I'm not a queen," you frowned (you were helping them with the field whenever you had time to spare). "I'm a CEO! Check your sources Asagiri!"
In the end, Taiju won the 'crown'. He stayed up all night, and used powdered shells to get the crops to grow faster. You knew he'd win, of course he would.

You were working on a tambourine with Kaseki working on the double bass when you heard the phone ring from the communication tower. You immediately stood up and ran up there.
"I'll take it! I'll take it!" you ran passed Gen, who was on his way there.
You picked up the mic and sa-
"WE NEED TO REVIVE A PRO CHEF!!!" Senku and Ryusui shouted.
"Woah!" you flinched in surprise.

"(Y/n)!" Senku exclaimed. "Get Minami on the horn!"
"O...kay?" you gave the mic to Gen when he walked in before going out. "You could say please though."
"Thank you!" you heard him say, making you smile and roll your eyes.

So apparently, the reporter girl had some revival fluid she kept to herself. Thanks to Gen, she agreed to let them use it in exchange for...something? It wasn't clear what she wanted but you guessed she'll tell them after the chef is revived. Speaking if this chef, turns out it'll be Ryusui's personal butler. The others were skeptic that a servant will be their pro chef, but you thought, it's *Ryusui's* *personal* butler, they're bound to be good at their job!

Minami and Gen went out to get Taiju, Yuzuriha and Nikki. You and Senku had the mics at this moment.
"So..."
"What?"
"What's up?" you smiled.

He groaned.
"Small talk, really?"
"It's not small talk at all! You guys did all the cool stuff over there, I wanna know how it was!"
"'All the cool stuff'? You're developing a musical business, and you guys are growing fields. Meanwhile, we're making bread and failing miserably at it. If anything I'm the one you should give an update to."
'Aww~!' you felt your heart squeeze.

"You tried making bread? Come on, it can't have been that bad."
"Oh let me tel-Hey!"
"It was beyond horrible (Y/n)!" Ryusui suddenly said.
You laughed, he probably took the mic from him.
"It was all burnt and completely inedible! Even cutting it was almost impossible! It was as hard as a rock!"
"Eww~!" you giggled again.
And so the conversation continued, featuring Ryusui. It was fun, and you talked to Senku about your blueprint so he could double check it and correct your mistakes.

When you were going back to work on your tambourine you noticed your friends following a...guy? Woman? A person! Dressed in a very chic manner, walking as if they were on a mission. You immediately knew who that was and walked up to them.

"Hello, you must be Ryu's butler." you smiled and extended a hand. "My name is (Y/n), welcome to the Kingdom of Science."
They took notice of your nickname and took your hand, bowing.
"My deepest thanks Lady (Y/n). My name is François, it's a pleasure to meet you." they stood up straight. "Do you happen to know where Master Ryusui is?"
"Oh, yeah he's in the Ishigami village." you pointed in the distance. "It's a few days of march from here."

They looked at the direction you were pointing before looking back at you.
"May I request for you to be my guide?"
"Uh..."

You thought for a moment, you could finally be part of the action and see all the cool shit the boys were doing. But you just started working on your own things. True you were a bit sad that, just when you got together with Senku, he left. But then again, he left because of important reasons. Going to him just because 'it's cool', to be 'part of the action' and abandoning your own work like that, that's just childish.

"No, sorry." you smiled. "I have things to do here."
"I see." they bowed. "I apologize to have bothered you."
"It's okay, don't worry." you waved your hand. "Ah! Gen could be your guide, right dude?" you looked over at him.
"Uh, sure."
"You have my deepest thanks, that's a great help." François said as they started walking away.
"Hey! Wait up!" Gen hurried behind them.

"Man, they're dedicated." you said to yourself. "I should take example from them."
You huffed in determination.
"Back to work!"
