I looked around me.

"I can't turn my back on crying children!" Nami said.

"Aoi?" Ace asked lowly.

"I'll be right behind you, just stay close to Nami and the kids. I'll bring up the rear incase any slip past the guys." I said. Ace nodded and joined Nami up front of the large group of kids.

"Let's go!" Nami called. We all ran out, Ace and Nami leading the group, Chopper and myself in the back, deflecting anyone coming from behind.

"Chopper, I'm going to need you to direct me for a second. I'm going to use my power to check on someone." I said. Chopper gabbed my hand and nodded. I closed my eyes and focused.

"Alright, Aka. Where you at, girl?" I thought.

A flash of gold and I saw Law and Aka facing off against Smoker, Tashigi and other marines.

I opened my eyes and let go of Chopper's hoof.

"Aoi-chan?" The reindeer doctor asked me.

"No worries. If we stay our course, then everything will be fine." I said. Just as I predicted, we were able to get out of the building thanks to Franky. Chopper took notice of Law and Aka.

"So you're kidnapped these kids? Well, you'll never get them back! We're taking them home!" Chopper yelled at them. With a stoic, classic Mikasa Ackerman blank expression on my face, I flashed duel peace signs at Aka. To which she responded with a face that looks like this: •_•

We retreated back in to the building to get away from the marines. I was running backwards, watching as Law flipped the warship over, preventing the marines from leaving.

"Aoi!" I heard Ace call. I turned back to running face forward long side the others.

"You didn't say they'd be here!" He said.

"I told you we would run in to some old friends on this island." I said.

"I thought you meant Marco and the others!" He told me.

"I said friends! Not family!" I told him.

"Aaaaahhh!" I heard. I turned and looked at our friends and tried not to laugh as I realized that Law had switched everyone. Sanji was now Nami. Nami was now Franky. Franky was now Chopper. And Chopper was now Sanji.

Man was it hard not to laugh.

"How come you and Ace didn't get switched?" Chopper asked me. I shrugged.

"Maybe he didn't see us?" I lied. I knew Law didn't switch me and Ace because he recognized us.

"OOOOIIIII!" We heard. I looked over and saw Luffy, Zoro, Brook, Robin and Usopp run over.

"Hey! Luffy! There you are!" Ace said. After catching everyone up on the situation, we pretty much split off in groups.

"We need our bodies back, Luffy! Find that Law guy while you're looking for that Ceasar person!" Nami yelled.

"Aoi, do you think that you'd be able to find Law?" Ace asked.

"Huh? Aoi-chan's power can only see those close to her, right? So why would she be able to find Law?" Chopper asked.

"The purple haired girl that's always with him, Aka, is an old friend of mine. But I can't gaurentee that Law will be with her this time around." I said.

"Go with Luffy, just in case!" Nami yelled at me.

"Alright! Alright! Let's go, Ace." I said. Ace nodded and we went off with Luffy.

Aka's POV

"That man is disgusting." I told Law once we were away from Caesar and Monet.

"I know you don't like it, Aka-ya." He told me. I sighed through my nose.

"I just can't wait to get out of here. Away from that fucking dusgusting clown, away from that freaky valkyrie, and away from this freaking cold." I said. I looked away from Law.

Truth be told, things kinda fell apart between me and Law after the war. I mean, I still love him. Of course I love him. It's just... Ever since he became a warlord, he's become different. Yes, he still shows his rarely-seen tender side to me. But he's become colder. More sadistic.

I mean, yeah, I saw this in the anime, but... With how Aoi and I have changed the course of time, it could have changed Law, too.

It scared me.

"Aka-ya..." He said. He went to wrap his arm around my waist as he always did when I was upset and he wanted me to not be. I stepped away from him.

"I'm going to go check on Aoi or something." I said. I turned to a hall and walked away. I felt a hand on my wrist.

"I'm sorry. I know you don't like this. I know you don't like him. But just hold on a little longer, then we can go home." He murmured to me. I pulled my wrist from his grip.

"We'll talk later." I said.

"I love you." He whispered. I nodded my head.

"Love you, too." I whispered back. I walked away from Law. I stepped out in to the cold air and drew a deep breath.

"What the hell have you gotten yourself in to, Akaria?" I said, doing the best impression of my mother I could. I giggled. I know it was odd, but I found mocking my mother therapeutic. I sighed softly.

"Aoi is probably facing off against the Yeti Cool brothers now." I thought. I closed my eyes for a moment.

Sometimes, all I need is a moment away.
