Chapter 1
I sighed. I wanted to leave. My best friend was chatting up a storm with her. Ashlynn. Ashlynn tells her lies about me constantly.
"Brittany Ferguson?" Mr. Green called my name for homeroom attendance.
"Here," I mumbled.
He checked my name off the attendance sheet and went on to the next person.
"Brittany, are you okay?" Rayne, my friend asked.
"You haven't been yourself lately," Dottie added.
"I'm fine, guys," I muttered.
"Ya sure?" Asked Rayne.
"One-hundred percent," I told them.
"Hi Brittany," Ashlynn sneered at me, while I looked at Kayla, my current best friend. She was beautiful. Sadly, she never cared. She never cared that I existed ever since Ashlynn came into her life. She looked at my lips, which were dry as heck, with skin peeling off.
"What, did you do the Kylie Jenner Lip Challenge again?" She asked me, in a rude way.
"No, I didn't," I responded, feeling hurt. I pulled out my ChapStick, took off the cap and put some on my lips. A couple minutes later, the bell to go to our first period rang.
"Time to head out!" Mr. Green exclaimed, getting out of his seat, and letting Mrs. Cheeseman in. I quickly got up as Ashlynn glared at me, continuing her conversation with Kayla. Time for Language Arts.
In Language Arts, Mrs. Koy walked in.
"Good morning, Mrs. Koy!" The class excitedly told her.
"Good morning, everyone," she replied back. Soon enough, we started our grammar lesson.
~at lunch, after gym~
I sighed. I walked in the lunchroom, and I sat down. I was exhausted. I had just run a whole mile! I started to draw on my Language Arts binder. This table only had me, Kayla, Jordan and Emilia.
"Hey Brit, is it okay if Ashlynn sits here with some of her friends?" Kayla asked me, as Ashlynn and her friends sat down. There were no seats left and one friend left.
"Hey Brit, just for today, can you sit over there?" Kayla asked me, picking up my stuff and handing it to me.
"S-sure," I stuttered.
"Great, there's a table you can sit at," she said, pointing at a table, with a couple idiots and my crush. I dragged myself over there, many people staring at me. I slammed my stuff down, pissed off. I sat down and turned around in my seat, to see Kayla, Ashlynn and her friends laughing. I turned back around and face palmed myself, with tears in my eyes. I wanted to cry. Did she even care about me anymore? No, she didn't. She doesn't care anymore! She doesn't give a god-damn shit about me!
"Hey, whatcha doing here, Brittany?" One of the idiots, Scout asked me.
"Kayla kicked me out of her table," I explained to him.
"Oh, well you can stay here as long as you want," Gabe, my crush told me.
"Yea," Mike, his friend and fellow idiot said with a smirk.
This is going to be hell.
