Kaneki's P.O.V.

I was sitting on the couch, waiting for Hide to come back. While I was waiting for him, I began to think of how should tell him or keep it from him. The reason I would be considering keeping from him is because I don't want him to leave me. I know I should be thinking, 'He won't leave me, he loves me!' But I can't get myself to fully think that.

"Kaneki?" I heard him calling my name from our room. Snapping me out of my thoughts.

"Yeah?"

"Could you come here, please?" I got up and walked to the bedroom and stopped at the doorway.

"Yes?" I said but he didn't respond. I could tell he was holding something. "Hide, what are you looking at?"

"Kaneki, explain this." He said showing me what he was holding. My pregnancy test. He was looking at the wall, waiting for a explanation.

"Hide..I-I..."

"Is this yours?"

"Y-yes."

"When did you find out?"

"Three days ago. "

"When were you going to tell me?"

"I-I don't know." After I said that, he stood up and walked towards me. He hugged me and rested his head on my shoulder. I hugged him back. We stayed like that, until he pulled away. He put his hands on my shoulders and I crossed my arms over my chest. I started doing that when ever I get nervous. I'm pretty sure Hide picked up on that.

"Why didn't you tell me when you found out?" Hide asked.

"I didn't want you to leave me."

"Did you really think I was going to leave you because of this?" I nodded. "Aww sweet heart." He said as he hugged me again. This time it was a comforting hug.

"I j-just didn't want you to leave me." I said hugging him back.

"I'm not going to leave you over something like this. I love you to much to do that. You should know that."

"I know, but I didn't think that."

"If anything happens like this tell me. Okay?"

"Okay." We just stayed in that hug for what felt like hours.

~~a little extra~~ still Kaneki's P.O.V.

Me and Hide got into bed. He let be on the side that was closer to the bedroom door, for incase I get morning sickness and have to run to the bathroom. He had his arms around me and I was hiding my face in his chest. I had my arms around his waist.

"Hey, Kaneki."

"Mmm?" I hummed tiredly.

"Could you roll over?"

I rolled over and pressed my back against him. He lifted my shirt enough to show my stomach and put his hand there.

"What are you doing?" I asked turning my head, so I could look at him.

"I'm putting my hand on your stomach."

"I can see that. Why?"

"I don't know. I just wanted to. Maybe because that's where our baby is."

Our baby? I couldn't tell him that it isn't his. I couldn't tell him I was raped. He just looked so happy. I didn't want to take that happiness away from him. I just wanted to keep looking at his smile.

"Okay." I said as I put a hand on top of his.

"I love you."

"I love you too." I said before falling asleep.
