Hide's P.O.V

Kaneki isn't answering my texts. I hope he's okay. Unlike when he got released from the hospital and tried completely avoiding me. I know he's a ghoul, but I can't help but feel that he's been hiding something else over the years. I just can't put my finger on it. I decided to go to his apartment to see if he's okay.

I get to his apartment and knock on the door a few times. He isn't answering. The door is unlocked, so he must be home.
I let myself in. I know he said something about knocking first, but I already knocked. I should check in his room. He would most likely be in there. Maybe he's taking a nap and that's why he's not answering. I opened the door to see he was awake.

"Hey Kaneki, you weren't answering my texts. So I came to see-" I stopped mid sentence. He doesn't have a shirt on and he has bandages around his chest. He looked at me showing he's ghoul eye. He realized what I was seeing and immediately put he's shirt over he's chest.

"Get out!" He shouts. I shut the door. I was shocked.

'This is what he's been hiding for as long as I known him? I never thought this would be it.' I thought as I took a seat on the couch. After a little bit I heard the bedroom door open. I saw him with a shirt and eyepatch on, he also had on a hoodie.He stopped at the end of the small hall way and lened against the door frame.

"I-I understand if you hate me now." He said not making eye contact with me. He had his arms were crossed over chest.

"Kaneki, I don't hate you. I'm just shocked and have questions."

He looked at me and then looked away again. "Al-alright."

"Come sit down." I said putting a hand on the couch. He walked over to me and sat next to me.

"What questions do you have?" He still isn't making eye contact with me, he just looked at he's feet.

"Could you please, tell me all about this?"

He took a deep breath and said, "Before we met, I didn't feel right being a girl. I didn't know why. It started with me cutting my hair really short and wearing pants all the time. I learned that I felt more comfortable being a boy. My mother accepted this. My name used to be Kaneki Kai, but later changed to Kaneki Ken. When my mom died, I went to go live with my aunt. However, she didn't like me for this and abused me for it. When I met you, you treated me like I was actually a boy and that made me feel more comfortable with myself. And I guess that's where my feelings started for you. Being around you made me forget I wasn't actually a male. When you asked to be my boyfriend I was happy but also scared. Scared that you would find out and be disgusted with me."

"But, why go on a date with Rize?"

"I don't know. Maybe to feel more male."

"But you had feelings for me."

"Well, at the time I thought you wouldn't like me for being gay."

"I would still love you. I knew you were a ghoul and now I know this." I didn't want to say it out loud to make him feel uncomfortable. I knew he already was. He still isn't making eye contact with me.

"Kaneki look at me." I said putting a hand on his chin. He looked at me with his beautiful grey eyes. Well, eye.  I pulled him into a hug, and he snuggled into my chest.

"Thank you. For always being with me and understanding me." He mumbled.

"You're welcome. You know I would do anything for you." After I said that, he pulled me into a kiss. His lips were so soft.

"I love you." He said after he pulled away.

"I love you too."

"It's getting closer to night you should go home."

"But I want to stay here with you." I said in a pouting voice.

"Okay, fine." He said before snuggling back into my chest. I couldn't help but smile.

"We should go to bed."

"Okay. You can sleep on the couch." He said starting to get up.

"Nooo! I want to sleep with you." I said acting like I was sad. And I gave him the biggest puppy dog eyes I could make.

"Um, f-fine." He said blushing. We walked to his room. He took off his hoodie and I took off my jacket, I also took off my headphones, that were around my neck. I'm didn't have any pajamas so just stayed in what I was wearing. But I stayed turned around so Kaneki could get into some comfortable clothes. When he was done, I let him get into bed first and I followed after him. We got under the covers, and he put his head in-between my neck and shoulder. He put his arms around my waist and I put mine around his neck. He fell asleep after a while. I felt he's soft breathing against my neck. I shortly fell a sleep too.
