Hide's P.O.V.

I was sitting on the couch until I heard a scream. I shot up and ran upstairs and opened the bathroom door. I saw Kaneki with his hand over his mouth and tears in his eyes, some already running down. I went to him and took his hand off his mouth and held it.

"What's wrong?" I asked in a slight panic.

'Please please be a mood swing.' I thought.

He just stared at his feet and started to cry harder. "Baby....didn't....make...it." He said in-between cries. I didn't have any words to say. We were very happy just a few minutes ago and now we're sad and hurt.

"Please... stay.." He said.

"I-I will." I said. I stayed right next to him. After a little bit his face started to screw up in pain.

"Here." I said as I moved so he could hug me. His hands turned into fists on my back. And at one point he bit the cloth of my shirt. He whimpered out of pain and was panting the entire time. He also was crying and sweating.

After what felt like a century, Kaneki said this,"I-it's over." Then he moved so he could flush the toilet. He refused to look down.

"Okay, I'll help you." I said before I held both of his upper arms and helped him stand up, his legs were shaking a little. I put his arms around my neck and told him to hold on. I bent down enough to pick up his pants and pulled them up.

I picked him up bridle style and carried him to our room. Then I laid him down on the bed. He rolled onto his side and started to cry. I had a few tears running down my face too. He wrapped his arms around his stomach. I just sat there on the edge of the bed, running a hand though my hair. I got a look out a window. It was already dark outside.

I looked back at Kaneki. He just continued to cry. I wanted to comfort him, but I didn't know how. I usually know how to calm him down. But there was nothing I could say or do to make this better. I laid down next to him and wrapped my arms around him.

"Shhh." I said trying to calm him down. He just kept crying. Eventually he fell asleep. I stayed close to him the entire night. Not letting go of him. After awhile I fell asleep too.
