Kaneki's P.O.V.

I was reading a book in the living room when Hide came home.

"Honey, I'm home!" He says like very other time he comes home.

"I'm on the couch!" I said back. He walked in the the living room as I put the book down. He leaned down and gave me a kiss on the lips. I put my hand on his cheek.

"What did you do today?" He asked after pulling away.

"Laundry, cleaned up a little, and I read a book. What did you do today?" I replied.

"Just had work like always. I'm going to go get out of my uniform."

"Okay. I'll be down here." I said before he went up stairs. He came back down in a t-shirt and shorts. And then he sat next to me. He put his arm around my shoulders and I leaned my head on his shoulder. He turned on the TV but I was reading my book so I didn't pay attention to what was on the television. We stayed like that until he got up to make himself dinner and he made me coffee. We sat at our kitchen table. When we got done and we put our dishes in the sink.

"I'm go to go take a shower." I said.

"Alright." After he said that I went upstairs to our bathroom and closed the door behind me. I opened the cabinet under the sink and got the test. I pulled it out of the box. Then I took off my pants and boxers. And I sat on the toilet and took the test. When I was done I pulled my pants back up and flushed the toilet. I sat on the edge of the bath tub and waited.

I didn't look at the test the entire time. Once I thought it was done, I tired to get brave enough to look at it. 'Stop worrying so much. It will be fine.' I told myself but at the same time I was begging for it to be negative. I finally looked down it was positive. I started crying, putting my hand over my mouth to muffle myself. I slid off the edge of the tub and put the test on the floor in front of me. I put my knees up to huddle myself. Why does this have to happen again?

Then I heard Hide knock.

"Honey, are you okay in there? I don't hear the shower running."

I picked my head up and said, "I-I'm fine."

"No you're not. You sound like you're crying. I'm coming in."

"Hide don't come in." But he walked in away. He looked at what was going on. Me sitting on the floor with tears down my face. And then he looked at what was in front of me, the test. He looked back at me with a look of worry. I looked away before he hugged me. I held on to his arm and cried against his chest. He just rubbed my back and waited for me to calm down.
