Chapter Seven

Barry Allen
Barry opened his eyes, groaning in pain. He didn't remember much about what happened except for little snips and bits of it. And a lot of it was the pain he felt. Barry sat up, grimacing and rubbing the back of his neck.

Barry looked around the room and noticed that he was alone other than John and the guy who looked so much like Ronnie standing off to the side. Barry cleared his throat.

"What happened?" Barry asked.

John and Stephen looked at him. "All you need to know is that Masters is out of your head."

Barry frowned. Was that all he needed to know? Masters had been in his head and caused him serious pain. Barry was surprised he didn't have brain damage. Barry threw his legs over the side of the bed and stood up. The minute he did, his legs gave out underneath him and he would've fallen to the floor if John hadn't caught him.

Barry stared into John's blue eyes before looking away. John helped Barry back onto the bed and stepped back after his lingering touch on Barry's back.

"You should probably stay off your feet for a while." John said.

"But I have to work!" Barry protested and jumped back up, this time staying on his feet and racing out of the room, into the cortex. Cisco was sitting behind the monitor desk and he said, "Cisco--"

"Already in the bathroom." Cisco replied.

Barry grinned. "Thanks man!"

Cisco Ramon
Cisco felt John and Stephen staring at him as if he were an alien. Cisco turned to them and shrugged. "What? He does this a lot."

John raised an eyebrow. "Really?"

Cisco nodded. "Honestly though...we used to share an apartment. He's my best friend. It's my job to know what he needs and when."

Stephen was staring at Cisco and he frowned. "You guys seem really familiar."

Cisco said nothing as he tried to figure out if this really was Ronnie. And if it was then he never died--he was just thrust into an alternate world where he forgot...

Cisco shot to his feet and rushed out of the cortex, ignoring John and Stephen's shout for him to come back. He needed to talk to Caitlyn.

Barry Allen
Barry walked onto the crime scene a little late because of his condition. He was still dizzy and his head still hurt from the last day or two so he wasn't on his best game. However when he arrived at the crime scene, Julian saw him and smiled.

Barry smiled back and walked over to examine the body with him. The body he was examining appeared to be a drowning victim but she had been found trapped in a display box with no obvious way for water to enter the box or anything.

The entirety of the situation was strange and all the evidence pointed towards a metahuman attack. Meaning the cameras had rock hard evidence of the crime and who it was.

"What do you think about this Barry?" Julian said, suddenly very close to him. In fact he was standing behind him while he was bent over slightly. Barry felt his cheeks heat up as he realized the position they were in.

"Uh, well...er, um..." Barry was so flustered that he couldn't think straight. He cleared his throat and tried again. "Um..the victim was obviously standing over by the door when she came in and saw what our metahuman was doing. She then tried to warn the other guards but was attacked judging by the defensive wounds on her arms and hands."

Julian nodded and leaned over Barry more, causing the latter to inhale sharply and stiffen slightly. "Well done Barry. Great observation."

"T-thanks." Barry stuttered.

Julian smirked and moved away from Barry, who was extremely red and flustered. Barry continued to examine the body, looking for anything else that may have been useful. Of course with Julian eyeing him, Barry could barely concentrate.

Back at the lab, Barry was sitting at his desk running some DNA through the database, trying to find a match while filling out another case file. Julian was sitting across the room reading a file on the victim.

"Barry come here for a second." Julian says. Barry stands up and walks over to Julian's desk. Julian stands up himself and points at the case file. "Look at this. Does this seem weird to you?"

Barry looked at the paper, leaning over to get a better look when he was spun around and lips crashed against his. Barry was surprised and caught off guard but he kissed back. Julian slipped his arms around Barry's waist and pulled him closer.

Barry basically melted into the kiss. He loved how Julian's lips fit perfectly with his. Like missing puzzle pieces. Barry moaned when Julian slipped his tongue inside his mouth. He was almost disappointed when his lips disappeared only to latch onto his neck. Julian started to leave small unnoticeable love bites.

Barry moaned quietly and Julian shoved him down on the table and Barry admitted that he loved the position. Julian knocked his things off the table and pushed Barry farther onto the table, connecting their lips again.

"This is so not professional." Barry gasped when Julian pulled back to let them breathe.

"Really?" Julian said, amused. "Cause from where I'm standing...this is definitely a profession."

Barry blushed a bright red and shyly looked away from Julian. He was definitely in love with him. And if he had any doubts before he sure didn't now.

"Don't be shy Barry. I mean it. You're beautiful and I love you." Julian told him, lifting his chin up.

Barry couldn't control himself anymore and he grabbed Julian's tie, pulling him down and kissing him roughly. Barry loved kissing Julian though and he couldn't hold it in any longer.

"Hey guys do-" Someone started.

Barry and Julian pulled away from each other and looked up. Joe was standing in the doorway of the lab, his eyes wide with surprise and his facial expression said 'I wish I hadn't seen that'.

"Joe!" Barry exclaimed straightening up and fixing his shirt. His face was as red as a tomato. "I'm so sorry you had to see that."

Joe shook his head. "I ain't see nothing." Joe walked out of the lab, leaving Barry and Julian in silence.

"Well..." Barry said before he just burst out laughing. "His face was priceless!"

Julian laughed too. "I know! That was so hilarious."

Barry smiled at Julian. He could get used to this.
