Hope's POV
School as boring as ever. I get out my Biology book and begin taking notes so I don't flunk my test next week. Right next to me is my funny/model/cool/sweet boyfriend who I tease all the time. I smile at him and he winks at me. Our teacher, Mrs. Donald, stares us down and I can't help but giggle. "What are you laughing at, miss Hope?"Mrs. Donald asks me sternly. "Oh nothing... It's just this classroom is so cute and fun yet the teacher is so stern and cold,"I respond immediately, then a moment later sort of regretting saying that but I sit up in my chair in pure confidence. I can hear some of the kids snickering. "If that's how you feel maybe you should spend time after school here in this fun and cute classroom while writing an essay on respect for teachers,"Mrs.Donald smirks. I laugh. "And it will be a prize essay at that,"I say smiling back at her. She glares at me. "Return to your work please and if there is any more laughter coming out of you guys... You'll join, Miss Hope in detention, which is probably Hope's second home now,"Mrs.Donald says as she smiles down at her paperwork. "Don't worry guys it's pretty cozy... I mean I like it, why do you think I'm here all the time,"I smile getting back to work. As class is dismissed I take my new boyfriend, Drake Salvatore, to see my old friend. I met Drake a couple weeks ago and we immediately clicked. My old friend, Sommer, is also a troublemaker just not in school. She has this whole reputation thing where she has to get good grades and be on her best behaviour but she isn't always on her 'best behaviour'. We have a lot of things in common. We're almost like sisters although she already has tons of siblings. We met 6 years ago, she was 12 and I was 7 years old. She was my babysitter. We've been great friends ever since. "Hey Sommer!"I yell to her as she exits the gym. She's talking to a boy... Must be another one of her friends. "Oh hey Hope, what's up,"Sommer says walking over to us with the boy, the boy starts talking to Elisa Gilbert and Cole Gilbert. Sommer waves to the Gilberts and Cole blushes and looks away while Elisa waves back. I laugh quietly to myself. "Nothing much... How about you?" I ask. "A lot but we'll talk about that later... Who's this?"Sommer says. I look at her wondering what happened. "Um this is my new boyfriend, Drake Salvatore, Drake this is Sommer my best friend,"I say smiling at him. He smiles and puts out his hand to shake Sommer's. She shakes his hand and smiles at me. "Aren't you a little young to be dating?"Sommer asks laughing lightly. "No,"I say stubbornly crossing my arms. "Ha ha, I was just joking... He's cute, seems like a keeper to me,"Sommer nudges me. I blush slightly and he holds my hand gently. "Awe...."Sommer laughs. "Stop it,"I say blushing more. I look away but Drake puts his hand on my chin and makes me look up at him. "She doesn't have to stop, I think you look cute when your blushing like that,"He says smiling at me. I blush more and try to look away but he's still holding my head up towards his. "I'm not cute,"I say crossing my arms. "yes you are and that's one of the many reasons that I love you,"He says warmly and I get butterflies. Did he just say that he loved me? Oh my God, he did. I've got this strange feeling of excitement. "I love you too,"I kiss his cheek and he blushes. "See now that's cute,"I say caressing his cheek which makes him turn even more red. "I'm not cute,"He protests. "Yes you definitely are and that's one of the tons of reasons why I love you," I say smiling brightly. "Hey you stole that from me..."He crosses his arms. "Yes I stole it from you but I made it better, just like your heart,"I say kissing him again. "No PDA in school please," says a teacher walking by. We all laugh. "Yes you sure did and just so you know I'm fine with PDA,"Drake smiles more than he has before. I laugh. "I am too,"I say biting my lip. "I am too,"Says the boy from earlier who was just about to kiss Sommer when she pushed him away and laughed. "Ya right,"Sommer says rolling her eyes at the boy. "You guys are adorable,"Sommer says clasping her hands together and sighs dreamily. "Uh thanks but not as cute as you and Jake though,"I say winking at her. Sommer's smile fades. "Uh well I guess we were kind of cute together,"Sommer says looking down at the floor. "Were? Did something happen?"I ask. "Don't worry about it," Sommer says kindly yet in a little bit of a sad tone . "Uh ok,"I say than suddenly notice Drake and that boy having a death glare contest. "Um Drake do you know him?"I ask looking up at him. Sommer's eyes widen looking like she suddenly realized something. "You two are brothers,"Sommer says looking between the two. "Ya,"Drake says coldly. "Awe come on, aren't you excited to see your older brother?"Drake's brother says with a huge smirk across his face. "What are you doing here Caspian?"Drake asks clearly unhappy. "I'm here to see my younger brothers and older ones, meet the love of my life, finish school, and have some fun,"Caspian says. Sommer looks a little dazed but quickly comes back. "Well since I decided on not being the love of your life which one of these unlucky girls gets to be the one?"Sommer asks. "Wait you already decided that your not the love of my life... That's not your decision and whoever girl I end up with won't be unlucky they will definitely be lucky,"Caspian smirks. "Look maybe I can't decide who your true love is but I've already decided that I just want you to be my friend, ok,"Sommer says frowning at him. "I'm not giving up yet,"Caspian says as Sommer goes over to talk to Cole Gilbert. Caspian rolls his eyes and glares at Cole. "See ya around Little bro... It was good talking to you,"Caspian says leaving. Drake just puts his arm around me and walks off into a different direction. "So I'm guessing that you guys don't have that great of a past,"I say as we leave the school to go home. "I'd rather talk about this some other time,"He says as he goes to the boys locker room. "I'll see you at the game later ok?!"I called after him. "See you then... Love you!!!"He yells. I blush and smile at him. "Love you too!!!"I yell than turn back around to be facing Caspian. "What do you want?"I ask walking away from him. "Just because my brother hates me doesn't mean you have to,"He says. "Your right... I don't have a reason to hate you, yet,"I say. Caspian smiles. "I just wanted you to know that we can still be friends and if possible you could help me with Sommer than that would be amazing,"He says in a pleading tone. "I don't think I should... so I won't,"I say getting into my car. He walks over to the window. "Please,"He asks. "No and no means no,"I say as Chanelle, my older sister, gets in. "You heard her now leave her alone loser,"Chanelle says pulling out of the parking space. She writes something down and gives it to him then winks at him. He smiles and walks away. "Please don't tell me you have him your number,"I say as I slouch into my seat. "What? He's cute,"Chanelle smiles then drives us home. Later I come back for detention. I sit back in my seat, ignore the other students, and start working so I'm not late for the game.
