5'5 and roughly 123-125 pounds. plump lips (which are never without gloss!) and a heart-shaped face. bronze complexion and dark brown eyes, typically framed with black winged liner and green eyeshadow. medium-length, wavy black hair, usually braided over her right shoulder. has a beauty mark beneath her lip on the right side of her face.

Via was born in San Juan, Puerto Rico to Rosa and Héctor Hernández. When she was six years old, her family moved to Tampa, Florida, where she spent the rest of her childhood.

Via was studious from a young age, always excelling in academics (particularly in social studies), to the point of skipping eighth grade and going straight to ninth. She was especially enamored with the study of global politics, and was also interested in philanthropy, engaging in community service in her free time. She knew that she wanted to combine these interests to help people when she was older, likely as an activist, diplomat, or political advisor of some kind. In addition to her passion for school and volunteering, Via developed an attraction to makeup in her early teen years, seeing it as a form of self-expression and stress relief. All her life, her parents remained supportive of all their daughter's interests.

By her third year of high school, Via's academic prowess earned her an invitation to study abroad in Paris. Though moving somewhere foreign and away from her family for so long would be jarring, Via knew better than to pass up the opportunity. She accepted the offer and flew to Paris for seven months, where she would live in a hotel while she studied as an exchange student at Collége Frances Dupont. On her first day of school, she met Marinette, Alya, Adrien, Nino, Chloé—who immediately took to teasing her—and Nyx, a mysterious loner who stood up for her. Though initially very antisocial, Via eventually warmed up to most of her classmates—especially Nyx, whom she formed an odd but endearing friendship with.

antisocial to say the least. she isn't too fond of people and prefers to keep to herself, especially while in paris, since she knows her stay is temporary. she takes her studies extremely seriously, and would rather focus on that than making friends, anyhow. highly driven, intelligent, and goal-oriented, she's the kind of girl who knows exactly what she wants and doesn't want anything ruining that. as a result, she can be rather stubborn and quick to irritate, though she's not a bad person by any means. truthfully, she can be rather sweet and sentimental, it's just not a side she shows often.
