5'9 and roughly 143-145 pounds. tanned complexion, and while he's a bit leaner than some of the other boys his age, he's still toned and fit. loosely-wavy ginger hair, hazel eyes, and freckles splashing across the bridge of his nose and cheeks. has a sort of "glow" to his skin, especially in the sunlight. brilliant and very charming smile.

Felix Moore was an up-and-coming fashion designer hailing from New York. Though not yet a mainstream figure, he was well-respected in his community for his designs, which were known for being elaborate and having a unique touch. He made enough money to afford a somewhat-lavish lifestyle, and took every opportunity to display his work in local fashion exhibitions, hoping to get noticed by someone important and make it big. It was at one of these exhibitions that he met Aphrodite (disguised as a mortal), whose attention had been drawn by his work. They began a relationship shortly after, and she eventually bore him twins—Phoebe and Jay. After their birth, however, the disguised goddess insisted she couldn't stay and left him alone.

Felix took her departure to heart and lapsed into depression. He began drinking heavily in an attempt to numb himself, putting his dreams of fashion design on the backburner as he gained an addiction. Moreover, he developed a sort of resentment for his children, blaming them for losing his first and only love. If they hadn't been born and complicated things, he thought, she would've stayed. He was harsh on both of them, subjecting them to constant verbal and emotional abuse and forcing them to keep the house. Phoebe took his treatment to heart, but Jay was able to see through it. Due to his strong emotional intelligence, he could tell his dad's behavior was the result of his heartbreak and not their fault. His treatment of them was a coping mechanism for his misery, although admittedly it still hurt to receive from his own father.

The Moore twins raised each other due to their dad's incompetence. Jay developed a love for singing—when he and Phoebe were children, he'd sing her lullabies when she couldn't sleep, and as he grew older he found solace in the school choir. He faced constant ridicule for being the only boy in the group, as well as his sexuality, but Phoebe was always there to defend him. Likewise, he was there to comfort her when she struggled or when boys broke her heart. This continued until they were fourteen. One night, the siblings got into a heated argument with their drunken father that ended with him kicking them out. The two wandered for five days before they were found by a group of satyrs, who brought them safely to Camp Half-Blood. While they arrived with few physical wounds, their mental and emotional ones would last for years. With no family left, they also became one of the few demigods to stay at camp year-round.

mellow, level-headed, and mature, especially compared to his sister. he tries to see the best in everything and everyone, and always does his best to remain positive. his friendliness makes him easy to approach, and as a result he's often assigned to show new campers around, sometimes even help them get to camp. some of the younger campers describe him as a cool big brother of sorts. as a child of aphrodite, jay is also very emotionally intelligent. he's able to read the emotions of others easily and empathize strongly, making him a good person to come to for advice. despite generally being a chill guy, he has his limits, and will defend himself and others if need be.

his fatal flaw is excessive loyalty. taking care of his sister his whole life instilled a major big brother instinct in him, one he applies to everyone he meets. after what he went through,  after all, he doesn't want to see anyone else suffer if he can help it. he'll lay down his life for anyone with no hesitation, even if the situation doesn't call for it or he doesn't know them at all. additionally, his tendency to nurture people can become overbearing, especially if left unchecked. just ask phoebe.

•like all demigods, jay has adhd and dyslexia. 
•he has a complicated relationship with his charmspeak. he recognizes how useful it is, but also how manipulative it can be, which makes him feel iffy about it. because of this, he typically doesn't use this ability unless he feels like he has to.
