With the use of his Miraculous (a light purple brooch on his chest) he can transform into Duskwing, a raven-themed superhero.

•Like all heroes, he gains enhanced speed, strength, and agility when transformed.

•He can fly with the wings built into his suit, which function like feathery gliders attached to his back.

•His special power is called Psychopomp, which allows him to call upon the spirits of past Miraculous holders to gain insight, usually on the future or how to defeat a villain. Doing so requires a large amount of concentration, so he can't afford any distractions when trying to use it. When he uses this ability, he enters a trance-like state, which he can't leave unless:

a). He breaks the connection with the spirits himself.
b). The connection times out (it lasts for five minutes max).

6'1 and around 139-142 pounds, with a leaner frame and fair skin. tousled black hair with a single purple streak running through it; when transformed, his hair lengthens to his shoulders and becomes shaggier, almost resembling feathers. brown eyes and a nick in his left eyebrow. has a single nose piercing and several in his left ear.

his suit is black and skintight, with feather decorations on his chest and wrists. the lower half of the suit has a train attached to it that gives off the illusion of sleek tail feathers. has large raven wings attached to his back; although they're technically gliders, they're extremely realistic in appearance, right down to the feathery texture. his superhero look also has knight-like elements (the sword, boots, and shoulder armor) that give off a gothic sort of look.

(The following story is tentative and subject to change.)

Following the events of Miracle Queen, the French Miraculous hero team dissolved, forcing Ladybug and Chat Noir to seek out new heroes in their quest to stop Hawk Moth. As the new Guardian, Marinette had been considering Nyx for a while; he was quiet, therefore able to keep a low profile, and on top of that he was incredibly intelligent and thoughtful—perfect traits for a superhero. However, before she could approach and recruit him, Nyx was akumatized and began wreaking havoc on the city. What's more, Via Hernández—his best friend—was almost injured after she tried to save him on her own.

Ultimately, Via got out safe, Nyx was purified, and any harm he caused was reversed by Ladybug's Lucky Charm. Still, Nyx suffered from overwhelming guilt for what he did. He blamed himself for everything, including his best friend almost dying; unable to face her or his classmates, he stopped going to school for a few weeks. Of course, since half his class had been akumatized themselves, no one blamed Nyx; Adrien, Marinette, and Via especially took pity on him. Marinette decided that she could offer him a chance at redemption.

Almost a month later, Nyx returned to school, and Ladybug and Chat Noir stopped him on his way home that day. They explained that since their former team broke up, they'd been struggling to continue their fight against Hawk Moth, who's only growing stronger. Thus, they could use some help. They proceeded to offer him the Raven Miraculous and a deal: he and another new hero would help them take care of Akumatizations, allowing them to focus on stopping Hawk Moth and retrieving the Butterfly and Peacock Miraculous. Eager to redeem himself and help protect his city, Nyx accepted. From that day forth, he was Duskwing.

It wasn't until his first mission that Duskwing ran into his partner: Toxique, a frog-themed superhero. The two initially didn't get along—she thought he was uptight, patronizing, and annoyingly smug, and he found her recklessness and attitude to be irritating. Still, they worked together for Ladybug and Chat Noir's sake, and eventually started to bond and appreciate each other.

Of course, neither of them could know each other's true identities, which is a shame since they already knew each other quite well as civilians.

as duskwing, nyx more responsible and serious, since he knows the safety of paris now rests on him and his partners' shoulders. because of this, he isn't one to charge into anything; in fact, he rarely does anything without forming a plan first. he often acts as the voice of reason to toxique's impulsiveness, serving as the strategist while she's more of the muscle. his no-nonsense attitude can make him come across as uptight or snooty, but really, he just wants to keep people safe the best he can. and don't let his maturity fool you; just like his civilian form, duskwing can be very charismatic and goofy when he wants to be.

Nyx's kwami is called Onyxx. While she's usually very stern and blunt, often scolding Nyx when she thinks he's acting immature, she's ultimately compassionate and just wants the best for him. She's somewhat of a motherly figure to the boy, serving as the voice of reason in his life, and is (usually) able to talk him out of doing anything too foolish. She speaks in a Mid-Atlantic accent (think Rarity from MLP) and loves snacking on seeds, which Nyx feeds her from his grandmother's garden.

𝕥𝕣𝕚𝕧𝕚𝕒
•duskwing's weapon, a halberd, was used during the 14th-16th centuries. since he represents an edgy, old-fashioned animal, he has an old-fashioned, edgy weapon to match.

•ravens are commonly thought to represent prophecy, insight, and even connect the material world with the world of spirits. they were sometimes considered psychopomps as well, which are spiritual guides of a living soul. that's where duskwing gets his superpower from ;)
