Raven's POV: The night my one of my parents died started off like every other night, them fighting, me in my room ready with a knife in case shit went down...the usual. But this particular night my dad decided to hit my mom and I came out of my room holding my knife. I hated my dad. He beat me when my mother wasn't around and would lie right to her face about why I was so beat up all the time. "You lay another hand on her, I will f***ing kill you!" I screamed at him, but it didn't matter, he hit me and then my mom. That's when I lost it, I stabbed my dad and yelled "I said don't touch her you motherf***er!" My mom screamed at me for what I had done. "Ventus what have you done!?" Ventus is my actual birth name, but the Mafia gave me the code name Raven, and it stuck. I said nothing. I knew what I had to do, I killed my dad. My mother called the police and my father's body was taking away. The charges of murder were dropped because it was self defense. But having killed your own father eventually people will find out. And they did. My actions caused me to be under watch of the Mafia captain, Levè, everyone knew about him, you had to in order to survive, you did not mess with him. Me not knowing that I was under the watch of Levè, I took full advantage of my new found power. One night my mother came home late at night drunk as f***, and started beating me. This happened for two weeks straight, then, finally, I snapped. And long story short, she died as well. Levè saw this and acted right away, in am matter of minutes, everything went black, I was knocked out and taken to the H.Q. of the Mafia.

I finally came to after what seemed like hours to find that I was tied to a chair at the Mafia H.Q. The room was very dark and empty. No one else appeared to be in there, just then the door to the room opened and a man with brown hair and purple eyes came into the room and stood in front of me. 'Levè.' I thought to myself. "So you're Ventus, the kid who killed his ol' man and mother." I nodded looking at the floor. "Here's the deal kid, I'm Levè or Shadow, as the Mafia member's know me and I run the Mafia, so you have two options, 1: You join us 2: you die which one?" "One." I said looking him in the eyes. "Good answer." "Phoenix untie him!" Levè, or Shadow demanded. Then a boy with red hair came over and untied me. 'That might be why he's called Phoenix.' "One more thing Phoenix." "Yes Shadow?" "You will be training Ventus here, but first things first... code name." Phoenix looked at me thinking of a code name for me. "Raven." Levè nodded and looked at me. "You go by Raven now understood?" I nod. "Good."

*two years later*~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~

Two years of being in the Mafia and me and Phoenix are now partners, and now, the Mafia runs this town. I met Rider one night when Phoenix and I were running around town stealing a bunch of shit for Shadow. "Hey Rave, wanna go terrorize some kids your age?" He asked pointing twords a big building. I looked over to see what he was pointing at, an orphanage. "F*** it we have nothing better to do." I said bored. We walked over to the orphanage to see two kids in the back yard playing. "Hey kids, get back inside were talking over this yard." Phoenix said. One of them looked at us, realized that we were from the Mafia and left, Alexander, then there was Jake. "Why, you don't own it." "Look kid, you wanna fight." He threatened. "Sure." Phoenix laughed. "I like your spark kid. Ever think of joining the Mafia?" "Phoenix Shadow will kill us." "He didnt kill you." I frowned. "I might," Jake replied. "When I'm older." Phoenix laughed. "What's your name kid?" "Jake." "I'm Phoenix and that's Raven, he's your age." "Hi Raven." I smiled and nodded. Phoenix did most of a talking so I just sat back for the most part until it was fighting time. "Jake if you ever want to join the Mafia you let us know."

And one year later he did shortly after Shadow died and acted like a leader. Jake still is a Mafia member and his code name....is Shadow.
