Chapter 6: The decision  

Jake's POV: "Fine then I choose.... Alexander." "Yes!" "What. the. HELL." "Oh suck it up Ry-dork." Alexander sneered. "Alex." Jake scolded. "Rider I-" "Just shut up! I thought that you were the only person that I could rely on to be there for me!" Rider screamed. "Rider... what are you talking about? Of course I'll still be there for you... just... as a friend." "Why him! Why forgive him so easily when it's his fault my parents died!" "Rider what are you talking about?" Rider's expression darkened. "Go on Alexander... tell him!" Rider hissed. "Why? All's well it ends well." "For you." Rider said as he walked out of the apartment. "Alex... what the hell was Rider talking about?" "Nothing Jay... forget it."

No ones POV: Later that night Jake awoke to the sound of the apartment door slamming shut. He got up and looked into Alexander's bedroom, realizing that his brother wasn't there, he shrugged it off and went back to bed...totally unaware of the danger his best friend was in.

Rider's POV: I couldn't sleep... I don't know why I just...I couldn't. I cant imagine life without Jake. But that's not my main concern right now, Alexander knows that I told Jake... I need to hide... he'll fine me and do only god knows what to me! Then I hear a sound at my door, like someone was trying to pick the lock. It wasn't Rider, he would have picked the lock in two seconds. "Who's there!" I called. The noise stopped and the door opened to reveal Alexander standing there. "Death is knocking at your door... Rider."
