This is the best, next to Rewind x Cromedome of course, pairing in MTMTE, Whirl is right, these two deserve to spend the rest of their lives together . These two deserve a break, and unfortunately the latest issues of the Lost Light, show what happened to Tailgate , and unlike Rewind's last message, which made be cry immediately, Cyclonus's reaction to Tailgate's death took 5 re-reads before the truth really set in, then I started tearing up a bit, I wasn't going to cry to give the creators the satisfaction of me responding to the feels again. Also they reunited a few issues later (Thank Primus!) and hugged, it was a touching moment lacking dialogue, because as Cyclonus says "Important things are felt, not said"
