Nuts-And-Dolts - Ruby Rose x Penny Polendina - RWBY

I want to start off saying that I think this is a pretty cool ship name, very creative.

I've given my thoughts on Ruby before, I think, so I'm just going to make this short. I love Ruby, she's sweet, and really caring.

Penny, on the other hand, I'm pretty indifferent too. Yes, I cried when she was ripped apart, and I totally forgot she was a robot and that she can come back to life, so I was excited when I saw that she is back in volume 7. But, I never really related to her, which kind of makes sense, since she's a robot. And her personality is the exact opposite of mine. I have a lot of friends who are Penny stans and I respect that, but for me, I'm pretty indifferent.

Now for the ship, I think it's cute. I like the idea of a human dating a soul-carrying synthetic life form. But not Ruby. I've already said that I am not really a multishipper, and I don't really ship Ruby with anyone but Oscar, so it wouldn't really work out for me.

Now, they have the chemistry, I would say, for it to work. Ruby was Penny's first friend, and they stayed super close, even after Penny "died." I totally see why people ship this, and I do kind of agree, it is cute, just not for me.

A reason why I don't see it working: (sorry I just had to) Penny is basically a child. She didn't get the chance to grow up like Ruby did, so her maturity is a bit strange. She's mature, when it comes to her job, but when around friends, she's kind of like a fave year old. I don't know which part of her would shine more in a relationship, but I feel like it would be the immature part, which doesn't make for a good serious relationship. Idk, maybe I'm the only one who feels that way. 

Also, Penny is the Winter Maiden now, and idk exactly how that works, but none of the Maidens we've seen are in relationships. That begs the question, "are relationships allowed or is that just coincidence?" I'm guessing coincidence, but just to be safe, I thought I should mention it.

Summery: Cute, but I don't ship it.
