Dramione - Draco Malfoy x Hermione Granger - Harry Potter 

Almost everyone I know loves Harry Potter. For Millennials and Gen Zers, it's a staple to our childhood. 

I'm going to let you guys in on a little secret, I never really liked Hermione. I know she was supposed to be this well loved character, and she is. But for me, I didn't have enough in common with her to care about what happened to her that much. She was a genius, I was an average girl who was surrounded by geniuses, but could never be one herself. She's a lawful good maybe a chaotic good, I'm a chaotic neutral all the way. I just couldn't find a reason to like her. 

With Draco, I didn't like him. When I first read the books, I absolutely hated him. He was a bully who took joy in looking better than everybody else. As I've grown older, and read the books again, I can say that I don't hate him as much. I do understand why he acts the way he does, I just don't support the actions themselves and who he allows himself to be. 

Now, as a ship, that's a tough question. I know that Emma had a crush on Tom during filming, but that doesn't affect their characters. 

I do see why people ship them. Someone with Hermione's brains and smarts, paired with Draco's cunningness and want for more. Together, they could change the world. And if the circumstances were slightly different (Hermione wasn't muggleborn and in Gryffindor) then yeah, I would probably ship them. 

But that's not how the story goes. Hermione literally is disgusted by Draco most of the time. She literally punches him in Prisoner of Azkaban. And he hates her just as much. Now, we could argue that it's the whole idea of "when a boy likes a girl, he will probably make fun of her." Let me tell you that I hate that way of thinking. No matter how young the boy is or how interested in her he is, bullying someone is terrible. So, maybe that was the case, but I don't support it. 

And Draco's parents would hate Hermione. It would ruin their relationship, just having his family around. 

In the end, whereas, it's cute and fun to imagine them together and liking each other despite their differences, it wouldn't work. Canonly, it's impossible because of their personalities and beliefs.
